LESSON PLAN

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be:
a. Define ecosystem
b. Identify components of ecosystem
c. Describe the natural ecosystem and artificial ecosystem

II. Subject Matter

III. Procedure
Teacher’s Activities Pupil’s Activities

A. Greetings
“Good Morning, Class!” “Good Morning, Ma’am.”

“How are you today?” “We’re good!”

“That’s good!

B. Prayer
But before we start, let us have a short
prayer.”
“Please bow your head and feel the
presence of our Lord.”
*playing a video prayer

Let’s start with our discussion for today.

C. Motivation
“Yes Ma’am”
Have you visited a forest? “Not yet, Ma’am.”

What kind of plants can you find there? What “wildflowers, ferns, sedges, moss, other plants,
else? and lichen thrives.”

What kind of animals live in the forest? “Lion, birds, rabbit, bears.”
Very good! “Snakes and monkey.”

D. Lesson Proper
The living things that live in one place depend
on their environment. They form relationships
with other living things and with non-living
things in their habitat or home in order to
survive. These living and non-living thing
together form an Ecosystem.

What is Ecosystem?
Anyone who wants to answer please raise your “An ecosystem consists of all the organisms and
hand. the physical environment with which they
interact. These biotic and abiotic components
are linked together through nutrient cycles and
energy flows. Energy enters the system through
photosynthesis and is incorporated into plant
tissue.

Very good!

An Ecosystem is any place where living things

live while continuously interacting with other
living and non-living components. The living
components of an Ecosystem are called Biotic
Factors and Non-Abiotic Factors

Biotic Factors which compose of all living

organisms.
“Plants”
Can you give me some examples of Biotic “Animals”
Factors? “Bacteria”

Abiotic Factors which includes the elements of

physical environment.
IV. Evaluation

Direction: Sort the following and put it in correct table.

Trees Sunlight Water Algae
Fog Birds Worms Rocks
Wind Plants Vines Soil
Nutrients Bacteria Minerals Fishes
Mushroom Temperature Oxygen
