WORK DESCRIPTION
Handling independently shifts Lab and chemical Lab.
Preparation of all chemicals standard solutions as for BIS
Quality controlling by maintaining the all physical parameters requirements for cement as per BIS norms.
To perform chemical analysis of all raw materials and intermediates like Limestone, Bauxite, Literate, Iron
Ore, Fly ash, Gypsum, Clinker & Cement Conforming to BIS.
To check physical stock of all Raw materials and Clinker for maintaining proper records.
Calibration of Flame photometer, Blaine apparatus, and analyzing standard samples for X-Ray
Calibration.
Monitoring additive feeding of Gypsum/ Fly ash /limestone mixing in Clinker grinding for required % of IR
and SO3 in Cement and maintaining Laboratory records & Lab aspects.
Maintained BIS document.
Shift Lab Work
Planning and monitoring
• Conduct physical test as per BIS Standards.
• Take Sample Hourly from Production and conduct the test.
• Sample preparation previous to the tests.
• Shift responsible to check the quality of final product as per BIS Standards.

• Responsible to prepare composites of production and dispatched trucks of final product.
• Sampling big stocks of raw materials

• Report the test result to the CCR operator on time
Coordinating with feeding supervisors & other subordinates for smooth functioning of Chemical Lab,
Physical Lab and feeding section.
Preparation of Daily Production Report, Power Report in Excel format as well as in SAP
Calibration of lab equipment’s.
Testing of cement and raw materials using XRF (Thermo ARL 9900) and flame photometer.
 Grinding aid trial: To make a comparable study of grinding aid on laboratory/plant trial. To
study the feasibility and impact of grinding aid during grinding of cement
 Cross belt gamma ray analyzer (CBA) for pile preparation. Report all testing result of the
chief chemist and inform him quickly of any abnormal result, close communication with the
chief chemist for target ranges, testing procedures, calibration of lab instrument.

Capable of using the following laboratory equipment:

 Thermo ARL 9900 X-Ray Analyzer and Brukar s2ranger analyzer, Alpine residue
analyzer,Master sizer malvaren PSD analyzer, Fusion Bead Machine, Digital Balance, LECO-
500 for coal GCV, etc.
