The eco-system of our world is deteriorating from time to time. The climate becomes hotter and hotter.

While water reservoir depletes by evaporation due to high temperature. High climate temperature
ignites wild fire and negligent use of fire erupts every where in the field or premises.

For centuries water has been used to extinguish fires. The inexpensiveness and availability of water are
the primary factors leading to its widespread use. Water in sufficient quantity can cool the fire; the
steam can deprive the fire of oxygen and in the case of miscible or dense fluids, water can disperse the
fuel.

The reason water is such an effective extinguishing agent is because of its low cost, effectiveness and
general availability. It also has higher specific heat than most common substances. The physical
properties of water mean that it is an effective combatant of all three sides of the fire triangle. These
sides are the independent entities of oxygen, heat and fuel.

Water is economical, cheaper than non-water based fire suppression agents and much more readily
available. It also has very predictable properties. For example:

 It freezes at 0oC
 It boils at 100oC
 It weighs 1000 kg/m3

It is a well-known fact that water will slow the growth of a fire, and this can be written as a simple
equation to illustrate the combustion process.

Heat of Ignition + Oxygen + Fuel > λH(Heat) + Products of Combustion

Examining this relationship, it may be concluded that the control of fire is dependent on the ability to
reduce one of the three components required by the combustion process. Water can effectively control
all three of these components due to its properties mentioned above. Because water expands so
drastically when it turns to steam, the air becomes diluted with steam, which results in the displacement
of the oxygen molecules by water vapour molecules. This reduces the amount of oxygen available to the
fire and therefore helps to control the combustion process

Most importantly, water is the only effective instrument in fighting fire. Chemicals are not eco-friendly
to use them to extinguish fire specially in forests and agricultural fields.

Fire breaks out every where easily. Water is important tool in fighting fire bursts. Water can not be
available unless we preserve it and use it wisely. For example, to distinguish a fire there need to get it at
the nearest point and ample quantity.

Water-based systems are used for protecting fire scenarios where the main hazard is fire spread caused
primarily by thermal radiation. A typical example are fires at tank farms and bulk storage facilities
where, besides extinguishing the main spill fire, a quick and powerful cooling is required for protecting
adjacent surfaces from radiated heat.
