Sports

Sports is such an activity that it can be taken up by anyone; at


any age and any point in life. Adults, children and elders that is
everyone alike can take part in sports especially teenagers. There are
so many sports available in the world nowadays, but we can
categorize them by the numbers of players, the three main categories
are individual sport, water sport, team sport and contact sport. All of
them are really interesting and fun.

First, the first category of sports is individual sports. An


individual sport is a sport in which participants compete as
individuals. Some examples of individual sports are track, cycling,
golf and tennis. You can play these sports whenever you are free, or
in school, it refreshes the person and gives him new energy through
which the person performs well in his life.
Besides that, the second category of sports is water sports. We
normally need a swimming pool to do the activity. Water sports can
be more gruelling than land-based sports due to the resistance that
water provides against movement. The most basic water sport is
swimming, which also includes high diving. Other examples of water
sports are water polo and water aerobics.

Otherwise, team sports are also the main category of sports. In


which a group of people work together to help the team wins. It is
played between the two teams who are against each other and give
their possible efforts to achieve the target or goal. Basketball, water
polo, softball, baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse, croquet, volleyball,
cricket, etcetera are some good examples of team sports.

Last but not least, the last category of sports is contact sports.
Contact sports are sports that emphasize or require physical contact
between players. The most common contact sports are basketball,
rugby, soccer and football.
In brief, sports can unite people, it is a form of exercise and
also a good way to keep one busy. So, let us involve oneself in
sports.
