I. Rationale:
MAPEH is a group of subject in school. It stands for MUSIC, ART, PHYSICAL
EDUCATION and HEALTH. They are important because they culturally enrich students and
help them enjoy and learn new things. MAPEH has great importance in everyday life.

As a part of remediation in the MAPEH subject, various activities are been conducted
to lift the quality of learning in the said subject area.

II. Brief Description of Best Practice:

The Region 1 Athletic Association is a sports event participated by the Region 1

athletes from Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, La Union, Pangasinan I and Pangasinan II. The event
will be hosted by the Pangasinan I headed by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr.
Shiela Marie A. Primicias. The games to be played are: Archery, Arnis, Athletics, Badminton,
Baseball, Basketball, Billiards, Boxing, Chess, Dance Sports, Football, Futsal, Softball,
Sepak Takraw, Table Tennis Tennis Teakwondo and Wushu. One of the participants in the
field of billiards is a student from Tagudin National High School. She is Ma. Cristina M.
Flojera, a Grade 10 student.

III. Impact:

The R1AA conducted by the Department of Education helps the learners to develop
skills and relationship with one’s self and others. It builds the interest of the students to
engage more in sports activities.
