Welcome back! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing break and is eager to begin a wonderful new
year of challenges, hard work, and success! This year I hope to provide a fresh and rewarding experience in learning for
each and every student in my classes. I will do my best to ensure that the curriculum is challenging, yet interesting and
engaging, so that students are not only pushed to achieve their fullest potential, but likewise, enjoy the process of
learning.
My hope is that we—teacher, parents, and students—can work together as a team to give each student the best
possible year. I will present the necessary tools and guidance for students to be successful, the students must put forth
their best effort, and the parents will encourage and support their students along the way. It is also really important that
there is communication between you at home and myself. It is each student’s responsibility to check Google Classroom
for daily assignments and be prompt and prepared for class. Please also feel free to contact me at any time with any
questions or concerns. My email address is: monica.lukins@venturausd.org. You may also check my teacher website for
an overview of my courses at http://lukinsdata.weebly.com/ and check Q Parent Connection (ask office for password) or
Google Classroom for assignments.
Accompanying this letter is a syllabus to inform you of the rules, procedures, and content in my class. Please
read this with your child. I look forward to working with you this year! Thank you!
Sincerely,
