The given line graph illustrates rates of birth in China and the USA from 1920 to 2000.

Overall, Both the US and China have seen a decline in population growth rates, however, China has had
larger percentage of birth given than the US for many years.

In China, there is no big change in birth's rate in 1920 to 1940 period, around 10-13 percents. However,
Chinese population growth rate hit the lowest point at 5% after a significant drop in 1945. Shortly
afterward, birth's rate dramatically increase to 15% in 1950. Inaddition, the period of 1955 to 2000
witness the gradually decrease in the rate of birth to over 5% in 2000.

In USA, population growth rate is exactly 10% in 1920. Like China, rate of birth in USA slightly go up
before drop to 10% in 1925-1930. Birth's rate jumps to 15% in 1935 then dives to 5% in 1950. The
number is stable in a short time to 1945 before increases considerably to 20%, reach the peak and
higher than China by 5% at the same time. After that, the rate of birth reduces rapidly by over 10% in
1955. In the next period from 1960 to 2000, the population growth rate drop constantly and always
lower than China's about 5% in every years.
