Comparative of adjectives

Јас сум висока. Сестра ми е повисока од мене.

Споредување на две нешта. ( луѓе, животни или предмети)

I am tall. My sister is taller than me.

Form: adjective + er

1. I am smart. She is _smarter__ than me.

2. You brother is nice. His friend is _nicer__ than him.
3. Eva is lazy. Iva is _lazier_ than Eva.
4. This house is big. That one is _bigger_than this one.
5. The girl is pretty. Her sister is _prettier__ .

Spelling rules:

1. Ако придавката е кратка ( едносложна) и завршува на согласка,

последната согласка се дуплира и се наставката -er
Big -  bigger
Hot - hotter
Wet –   wetter
2. Ако придавката завршува на –y: y- преминува во i + er

Dirty -  dirtier
Smelly -  smellier
Ugly -   uglier

3. Ако придавката завршува на е, се додава само –r

nice – nicer

1. Skopje / big / Ohrid – Skopje is bigger than Ohrid.
2. Vardar / long / Crna Reka – Vardar is longer than Crna Reka.
3. Lake Ohrid / deep / Lake Prespa – Lake Ohrid is deeper than Lake Prespa.
4. My hands / dirty / your hands – My hands are dirtier than your hands.
