• Lucknow’s senior litterateur Dr Ranganath Mishra ‘Satya’
passed away at the age of 80.
• Dr. Ranganath Mishra was honored with the Sahitya Bhushan
Samman of Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan.
• He was the father of agit genre and a rare composer. He was
the founder of the literary body Agit Parishad.

9. Shachindranath Sanyal’s death anniversary : 7 February

• Shachindranath Sanyal was born on April 3, 1893 in Kashi
(Varanasi).
• In the two decades of 1920-30, Shachindra Nath Sanyal made
Varanasi the center of revolutionaries. He was the head of the
revolutionary movement and had twice served the sentence of
black water. But the zeal to liberate the country never waned.

9. शचींद्रनाथ र्ान्याल की पुण्यनतथथ : 7 फरिरी

• शचींर्द्नाथ सान्‍यााि का जन्म 3 अप्रैि, 1893 को काशी (वाराणसी) में
हुआ था।
• 1920-30 के दो दशकों में शचींर्द् नाथ सान्याि ने वाराणसी को
क्रांनतकाररयों का सेंटर बना ददया था। वे क्रांनतकारी आंदोिन के मखु िया थे
और दो बार कािे पानी की सजा भी काट चक ु े थे। िेककन दे श को आजाद
कराने का जज्बा कभी कम नहीं हुआ।

Kakori to Lucknow was stopped and the government
treasury was looted. After this, a case of Kakori Conspiracy
took place in Lucknow and Sanyal was sentenced to life in
black water.

12. MoU between IIT BHU and Niigata University Japan

University Japan for organizing joint research lectures and
seminars, promoting exchange of students and faculty members.

and work together in the field of education and research. For
this, both the institutions have entered into an agreement among

electrification scheme
• Hon’ble Prime Minister launched Saubhagya scheme on 25
September 2017 to achieve universal household electrification
covering every village and every district of the country.
• Under the Saubhagya scheme, Rajasthan has the highest number
of 1,23,682 households electrified through solar-based standalone
systems, followed by Chhattisgarh (65,373), and then Uttar Pradesh
(53,234).
