Samantha's POV

"Can't you walk faster?" my best friend Miranda whined once again.

"What for? It's just another training day in the pack" I quickly replied, she
raised an eye brow at me and I knew why.

"Sam don't make me tell you again the same thing I've been talking to you about for
at least a week" she complained. Truth be told, I knew exactly what she was talking
about. A week ago our Alpha informed us that today we would be training along with
some fighters from the Kingdom. Yes, you guessed it. With the fighters from the
werewolf kingdom since we are werewolves. Miranda and I are Specials, which means
that we happen to have a magical ability.

No, we are not witches or something else, we are wolves that happen to have an add
up power. Miranda has the ability of controlling the water while I have the ability
of controlling the fire. People can't understand how we are best friends since we
control opposite elements. But the truth is that there is ballance in our
friendship and plus me and Miranda share some secrets. Like the fact that we begun
being friends when we both almost hurt our mothers. We didn't want it, but when I
for example, first found out about my power I was only 5. My mother wanted to hold
me and she hugged me, suddenly fire exploded through my body causing my mother to
have some injuries. I felt awful even for my young age, so I run away deep into the
forest. I met Miranda that day. Even though we were in the same pack we didn't
know each other. We became friends and when we shared our story we found out that
she too did something like what I did to her mother only she used water.

Well, they found us some days later and we along with our families learn to
control it. With all that talking I didn't realize that we were
at the clearing where we normally train.

"There you are girls" our male best friend and future Alpha told us.

"Hey Jake. How are you.?" I asked him, he smiled at me and threw an arm around my
shoulder. "I'm good "he replied casually. Miranda shook her head and smiled at us.
She knew that Jake has a crush on me and I like Jake, but we haven't even told each
other.
"What are we doing?" Miranda asked Jake as we took a seat under a tree and watched
Luke fight with a stranger.

"We are all going to fight with one of them and the best with all of them, I've
already fought." he said.

We spent a couple of hours watching kids at our age fight. I must admit those
fighters were good and fair. When my time came I didn't bother to shift. I like to
fight on my human form and watch the opponents expression while we fight.

"Aren't you going to shift girl?" the strange tall man asked me. Then my Alpha
Daniel stepped in and said

"Sam never bothers to shift she is a good fighter at her human form. She can take a
wolf". The man raised an eye brow,

"Lets fight" he said and we started. He kept coming at me and I kept throwing him
back. His face was betraying his moves. I could see the confusion and anger in his
eyes. The anger moved him. He threw me down, standing on me showing me his victory.
Little did he know I never let anyone beat me so then I let my fire go, causing him
to run away from me.

The strangers stared at me with wonder, but my pack was used to it. My opponent
shifted and came towards me.

"You are a Special" he stated, I simply nodded.

"Why hasn't the Specials of your pack presented themselves to the kingdom?" he
asked our Alpha. "They weren't invited"our Alpha stated. The man nodded and said

"I want the name of all the Specials"and then he walked away.

Miranda and I were sitting on my bed going through some magazines. There was music
on the back ground playing one of the songs of our favourite band which were of
course, Paramore. Haley William's voice is amazing.

There was a knock on the door, Miranda replied before me "Come on in " she said.

"Make yourself at home " I told her jokingly and we both giggled. Both of our
mothers got in with a slight smile barely noticeable. They were both holding a
letter with the royal werewolf shield. Miranda and I stared at each other, we both
knew what that meant.

We were invited to the kingdom as Specials.

Chapter 2
####################################

I was slowly packing my stuff.I had just gone through an important lecture from my
father. He talked to me about the kindom and the rules I have to follow there. It
seems to me that they live a typical pack life,but they live with someone much
stronger instead.

My father also advised me to be quiet in front of the royal family. I laughed at

that since its hard for me not to talk and I rarely stay quiet.

I took one last look of my bedroom. The purple walls my wooden warm floor and the
grey curtains that cover the window. I would miss all that, I would miss warmth of
my bedroom and my comfy bed. Every little object in this room means something great
and important to me.

My mother walked into my bedroom. "Are you ready?" she asked me, I shook my head
and took a seat on my bed. "Why can't you come with me?" I ask her. That special
smile that only my mother has, appears on her face, "I wasn't invited sweetie and
only if you are invited or if you have a meeting with the King you can enter their
land" she explains sweetly at me. I was never attached to my parents, but this is
an entirely different thing. I nod at her and give her a small smile.

She raises from the couch and takes a bag off the floor. I knew this was my cue to
hurry up, and with one last look at my room i take the rest of my bags and walk
out.

There was no sound in the house, the only noise that existed what the voices of my
pack members outside. Heading outside I saw all of the pack gathered talking,
laughing, and some of others Specials were preparing theme selves. No, I am not the
only Special in the pack nor the world. There are others, many more people like me,
like them, I thought. Miranda came by my side and hugged me tight. "You do realize
we are leaving together, right?" I asked her, "I know, but this is the last time we
are hugging in the pack grounds" she says and shakes her head like I am the crazy
one. I roll my eyes at her, while I start searching for my parents. I spot the
talking to the Alpha and I step closer. "We knew we couldn't hide her forever" my
mother was whispering, "We had hope" my father retorted, "Have you told her?" Alpha
asked, my parents shook their head. "They will tell her soon enough" my mother
said.

Just then thet realized that I was standing behind them. "Hey sweetie" my mother
welcomed me, "Are you read Sam?" Alpha asked. "I am, Alpha" I replied. "Like I told
you, you don't have to be afraid of anything" my father said. "I am tough. I can do
this, its like I am going on vocation" I told them trying to calm them, but I was
shaking inside of me.

Three large cars were waiting for us just outside our pack territory. They hurried
us in and just then I saw that Jake was with us. I knew for a fact that he was not
a Special so, what was he doing here. "What are you doing here?" me and Miranda
asked the same time when we took a seat in the car. "Relax, I am the Alpha's son. I
am allowed to be here" he said calmly. "Jake. You are not a Special" I stated.
"What? No way!" he said, but that wasn't some thing he could joke about. Neither me
or Miranda changed our worry expression, eventually he sighed "I am going to be you
companion. You are all still pack members and you can't go there on your own. Get
it?" he asked and I sighed in relief. "We thought you were sneaking in" Miranda
said.

The ride on the car was long. We kept passing trees and cities as my face was glued
to the window. I had only been out of the territory once and i found this trip as
an opportunity to see the outside world. "You look like you are going to jump out
of the car" Miranda commented and i just put my tongue out in a childish manner.
She laughed of course, but she didn't say anything back.

Miranda has left the pack territory a couple of times and she doesn't seem to find
anything interesting, but i do. Every little detail is special.

I was lost in my own world when the car stopped. "Well, girls looks like we are
here" Jake announced to us making me jump. "Come on" he said and nodded with his
head to move out of the car. Miranda and I got out slowly, taking in everything.
Behind us was a huge gate and everywhere around was forest, trees and grass. In
front of us was a huge castle. It must have many rooms because there were a lot of
windows. "Specials follow me" the man I had fought with said.
With me Miranda and Jake were Lucas who could move things with his mind, his twin
Jessica who had the same power as her brother, Melissa who could make flowers open
and grass to grow and finally Crystal who could make snow and ice to fall. It was
just seven of us, but to them we seemed to be a great deal. "My name is Peter, by
the way" the man said. So, his name is Peter, I thought. It surely fit him.

Peter led us into a big room, like the ball rooms i had seen in movies. It was big
and had a huge balcony door that probably led out in the garden. Suddenly Peter
stopped and I saw why. On two huge thrones sat two people I immediately knew who
they were.

The royal couple. The King and his Queen..

Chapter 3
####################################

The King and the Queen were beautiful. The woman was like a model, she had long
brown to blonde hair and peirceing green eyes. Her face was so sweet and kind that
made my heart melt.

The King on the other hand was more reserved. He was holding his Queens hand and he
was looking at each and every one of us.

"Welcome" the kings voice boomed into the ball room. "Please make yourself at home
here Specials. You are here because you are given the opportunity to understand
your powers" he said. I looked at him with confusion, his eyes met mine "You have
something to say?" he asked me kindly, "What do you mean understand our powers?" I
asked him. "Its like training every day ,but you will have theory too. It will all
make sense soon. My name is Gabriel and this is my Queen Elizabeth" he finished.
"Michelle is show you to your rooms.If you need anything don't be afraid to ask"
the Queen said. Her voice was like melody and her smile showed us how good hearted
she was.

A young girl that was clearly Michelle came in and led us all to our
room.Thankfully we all had separate rooms at the same floor. Mine was next to
Miranda and Jake's two rooms down.

My bedroom was large. No, that's an understatement, my room was huge. It was like a
whole house could fit in there. The bed was double and it was against a red rose
wall. On the right was a balcony door and on the other side was the bathroom. Of
course the bathroom was amazing and i couldn't wait to have a shower. Next to the
bathroom was the closet, unfortunately i don't have enough clothes to full it.

There was a knock on the door and Michelle stepped in, "Excuse me Miss?" she asked,
"My name is Samantha, you can call me Sam" i told her. She nodded and smiled at me
"The Queen wants all the ladies Specials in the ball room. " she said, I told her
an okay and i followed her in the ball room downstairs.

Miranda was already there, she smiled when she saw me and I went to stand next to
her. "They are having a ball in the honer of the Specials" she whispered. It was
then, I noticed the people around me. We weren't the only Specials here. There at
least another 10 girls around.

"wow" I whispered to Miranda "AI know they are so many" she whispered back.
The Queen started talking about that ball.She told us that it was on the Specials
honer and that we should look presentable. "Who knows, maybe some of you will find
your mate" said the Queen. Some girls giggled when others started whispering right
next to me. " Do you think i will be the princes mate? " a girl said some scoffed
while others encouraged her. "What's so special with the Prince" I asked Miranda.
She rolled her eyes at me "He is the Prince. And probably the most handsome guy you
will ever seen. My mother talked to me about him. He is supposed to be the best
male in the werewolf world. Do you think you might be his mate?'" She asked me. "I
don't think you should make dreams. Lady Svetlana has being flirting with Prince
Cole a lot lately "Michelle said. "Yes, but is she his mate?" Miranda asked her, "I
don't think so" Michelle replied. "Lady Svetlana is not a nice person and even the
Queen doesn't like her".

I imagined that if the Queen doesn't like her then that. Svetlana must be a bitch.
But why am i saying something like that for someone i don't know?

The rest of the day I spent it trying on dresses. The Queen had made for us so many
dresses because she said she wanted us to be wearing the best.

Finally when I tried the last one I saw eveeryone widen their eyes. I looked myself
in the mirror and my breath hitched. The dress made my curves look extremely good.
The dress was purple, and long. On the back there was an x that made my back look
good. For the first time i saw myself as beautiful.

The Queen was running around us, making sure we had everything before the Ball.
Clothes, make up,hair. When she was positive we all had what we need she let us
return to our bedrooms. Miranda came by to mine and we sat there chatting for a
while talking about the kingdom and all. "It's okay" she said after a while. "I
mean, it sure is different than home, but we can make it. Right?" she asked me
looking unsure. "Of course. Like the King said it would be like training. Like
we're in a pack, but we are in another pack than our own" I told her trying my best
to look convincing.

The truth is that I was burning inside. I had no idea what we would be doing here.
Okay, the King explained a bit, but its not easy when you are away from your home.
"Do you think we are going to be staying here forever?" Miranda asked. "No, I don't
think so. Look, let's just ask Jake later, okay? I am sure he knows" I told her.

Later in the evening while me and Miranda were getting dressed there was a knock on
the door and Michelle stepped in. "Wow, you both look beautiful" she told us, we
thanked her and I noticed that she wasn't wearing any make up. When I asked her why
was that she just shrugged and said "Nobody watches me. I am just a maid." she said
looking sad. Of course she didn't get away with it. Miranda immediately pulled
Michelle down and started doing her make up, then Miranda asked me to go over to
her bedroom and fetch a dress for Michelle.

While I was making my way back to my room i bumped into someone and shivers along
with sparks to run through my body. I raised my head and I saw the most handsome I
have ever came to meet in my life. He was tall and muscular with beautiful green
eyes and raven black hair.

He looked like a black angel coming right down from Heaven.

My heart skipped a beat and my body was calling his. Then only a small world left
both of our lips..

Chapter 4
####################################

Cole's POV

My parents insisted I present to the ball. I was not in the mood to go through
that, not because i was bored, but because Lady Svetlana would definitely be there.
She is a greedy and mean woman that only cares about her title and money. Above all
she is also a big slut. Everybody thinks that she is my mate. Well,that is not
true. I am definitely not her mate .

I haven't met my mate yet, but i am looking forward to it. I want to feel the
shivers run through my body and the sparks to appear whenever i touch her.

Mate is someone special. Its what you call it , your other half. The person who is
able to calm your wolf when you are angry and able to bring peace in your heart.

I want to have what my parents have. I have seen my father angry and only mom was
able to calm him down.

Plus they are happier than ever. They always laugh and smile at each other.

After I had a shower I walked out of my room in order to go and find my mother. I
wanted my suit and Michelle hadn't brought it yet. As I was making my way down the
hall my mind was going through the Specials I had to teach tomorrow. My father
wanted me to help him with them before I go and have my round around the territory.

Suddenly I bumped into someone small, it wasn't difficult to realize it was a girl.
I wrapped my arms around her to make her stand and immediately I felt the sparks.

It was a pleasant and euphoric feeling. When i looked into her crystal blue eyes i
got lost in them. Her eyes had the color of the sky. My wolf yelled a word at me
and my heart pounded at the hearing of the word. "Mate ".

The girl seemed lost too for a moment, but i hope she stayed like that a little
longer, because when she snapped out of it she run towards a Special room and got
in before i got the chance to stop her.

"Cole?" I heard and awfully annoying voice, which I immediately recognized as

Svetlnanas."What? " I snapped at her, she didn't seem to mind. "I just got here,
thought you could keep me company " she said trying to sound seductive. "Not now" I
told her and run to my father's office.

He was standing beside his office with his arms wrapped around my mother."Sorry to
interrupt" I told them and went through his stuff on the desk. "what are you
looking for son?" my father asked me. "Nothing" I said and then i found it. Its a
paper like a map of the castle. I quickly found the door my mate run into. The room
said Special:Samantha Anderson.

Samantha, thought. Her name is Samantha! A smile appeared on my face and my mother
saw it."What's that smile for?" she asked with a smile on her own. "Nothing. Where
is my suit?"i asked her. "Oh your suit, go get ready i will bring it to you" she
said and with a peck on my fathers lips she rushed off the office. "Is everything
okay?" my father asked me. I nodded and returned to my room.

Samantha's POV

I run away from him. I couldn't believe it. My mate is living here, I thought. I
was holding the dress and I was panting a little. Miranda and Michelle were looking
at me confused, I shook my head, gave them the dress and went to the bathroom.

Within minutes we were all ready. Michelle went down to the ball room first to make
sure everything is ready. When we got down the ball was in full flow. People were
dancing and laughing. The royal couple was talking to some pack members and Miranda
and i decided to go and look for Jake.

He was near the dance floor drinking wine. "Going to get drunk? " Miranda asked
him. "I am an Alpha, I don't get drunk " he said and eyes us up and down. "Girls
you look amazing!" he said and I blushed.

We sat with Jake for a while. Talking and gossiping about everyone around us. Then
a stranger asked Miranda to dance and she accepted. Soon after Jake asked me to
dance and I gladly accepted. We swung around, dancing like professionals, when i
saw my mate. He was standing a few feet away from me undressing me with his eyes.
For a moment i was lost in his presence too. When i saw him make his way towards me
my heart started pounding.

"May cut in?" He icily asked Jake. "Of course, my Prince " Jake said and nodded at
me.

I completely froze at my place. He was the Prince? That makes him the soon to be
Alpha King. My mouth dropped open. "Why did you run away, mate ?" he whispered
while wrapping his arms around my waist, bringing me closer to his body.

I felt a rush of pleasure running through me, but i resisted the urge to moan. "I-i
didn't " i tried to say but I lost my words. "Well, it seemed to me like you did "
he whispered closely to my ear and then he left a kiss on my cheek.

I looked around and saw no one looking. "I have to go" I whispered, but he caught
my arm."Nope.I can't let you go Cinderella " he said. "Let.Me.Go" I said, just
because he is the Prince doesn't mean he can do whatever he wants with me.

I don't know how I did it ,but I run away from him for the second time. He is the
Prince and I am just...me. Nothing can happen between us. At least i was sure about
that.

I heard his footsteps right behind me before i felt myself pushed against a wall.
"Do not run away from me" he said and planted sweet kisses on my neck. For a moment
i felt myself giving up to his kisses.

But then a young woman came out of no where. "Cole?" she said throwing dirty looks
at me. She was beautiful, she had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. She
looked...royal. "Svetlana? " said Cole with annoyance cleared in his voice.

So that is Lady Svetlana, I thought. Now compare to her, i don't stand a chance!!!

Chapter 5

Samantha's POV

Lady Svetlana looked at me and Cole for several minutes. "I see you are having fun"
she said,"I guess she is another toy of yours" she said right in front of me and
left. My heart ached and my wild howled with what we just learnt. Our mate isn't
pure, other girls have enjoyed his body.

At that moment I saw Coles eyes turn to black from anger. "I want to go to my room"
I said like nothing happened. I am strong, I whispered to myself, I will not let
him bring me down. "Don't listen -" he started saving himself, but then Jake came
to view.

I knew Cole has felt his presence, but he didn't make a move so I stayed stuck
against the wall.

"Is everything alright? " he asked,"I don't feel well. Will you take me to my
room?" I asked him.When the words left my mouth a loud growl erupted from Cole s
chest. "You are not going anywhere with him!" he said. I didn't know what to do, my
mother told me once that for royals, their feelings for their mate are stronger.

"Cole.I want to get some rest " I told him as kindly as I could. His eyes were
pleading me not to go with Jake. "I will accompany you " he said in a way he showed
me that there was no room for argument. He nodded at Jake who with one last glance
at me left the room and then took my hand to lead me up to my room.

When we reached the door I tried to move away from him,but with no luck."Why do you
want to be away from me so much?" he asked, hurt evident in his voice."We-We can't"
i whispered, "Why not?You are my mate, I love you what more do you need?" he asked
me. I shook my head and wished him goodnight before i got inside my bedroom.

He loved me? Well, i am sure that's a lie, I refuse to have the same end as my
aunt. She too was the mate of a royal. He cheated on her with another royal Lady
and he told my aunt that their status was more important. The guy refused his own
mate in order to be pure royal. My aunts heart broke and she killed herself.

When her mate found out about her death nor his wolf or him could take it. He
killed himself upon his mates grave.

I don't want to be like them. He says he loves me,but he has Lady Svetlana the fake
blonde who could easily stand by his side. What am i? I am just a wolf with fire. I
bet there are thousand wolves like me.

I got undressed and got into bed. The training starts tomorrow and i need to get
ready. As i was drifting off to sleep there was a knock on the door and Miranda
burst in "Jake told me he saw you with the Prince?"she started,but asked at the
same time. I nodded,"Come in,I've got things to tell you? "i asked, she nodded and
came to sit next to me on the bed. "He is my mate" i told her after a long sigh. "I
knew it!" she said and clapped her hands. "Wait!Nothing can happen" I said.
"Because of your aunt?"she whispered and i nodded. Miranda knew about my aunt, she
knew how much that had affected me.

"What if he really cares about you?" she said. "I-I want to get some rest" i said
she nodded and left the room.
Tomorrow will be a long day!

Chapter 6

Samantha's POV

I woke up the next day from the chirping of the birds outside my balcony door. A
smile formed my face at the sight of breakfast on the table near the balcony and
Miranda sitting there eating. "I know you are up, so go have a shower, get dressed
and come eat" she ordered. I smiled and followed her order. When I sat on the table
to eat Miranda spoke "The Prince will help us train" she said causing me to spit my
orange juice. "Michelle told me. Maybe you will see he actually cares" she said
looking hopeful.

"Miranda he has Lady Svetlana and she looks way more beautiful than me" i told her.
She didn't listen to me of course,but that's typical.

Michelle came by when we finished breakfast. She informed us that it was time to
gather in the garden for training.

I was wearing my favourite training shorts and my black tank top along with my
sport shoes. Miranda was wearing similar clothes with me and since we were both
ready we followed Michelle out in the garden.

All the Specials were there along with their Alpha's. We spot Jake and we made our
way over to him, he was with our pack members talking. "There you are girls" Jake
said and he threw his arms around us, we both giggled and I heard someone growl. I
knew who growled and why, so I turned my head and saw Cole's green eyes looking at
me. My eyes drifted to his side and I saw Lady Svetlana talking to him. She was
wearing her training clothes, i guess, but she looked like a slut. Some boys
Specials were eye raping her, of course those Specials were famous players.
Classic, i thought.

Cole's eyes never left me. I tried get into the talk my friends were into, but the
whole time I could feel his gaze on me. The training started when the King came
outside. Once again we fought with some of the royal guards. Some kids managed to
win the fights, but most of them lost. When my turn came, I could practicaly feel
Cole's worry. Worry about his mate, my wolf whispered. I tried not to think about
him and focus on my battle, I fought with Peter who could read me like a book.

"You have to be better than that. Where's the tough girl I fought with?" he asked
me in a playful manner. I laughed at that and prepared myself for another aim. From
the corner of my eye I saw Lady Svetlana whispering something in Cole's ear, that's
when I lost it. I attacked Peter like never before and I managed to get him to the
ground. Everyone gasped and started screaming from excitment, but I couldn't enjoy
my win.

I couldn't smile, so my face turned into a depressing scowl. Miranda frowned at me,
I nodded my head slightly in Cole's and Svetlana's direction. When her eyes caught
them and threw me a sad smile.

The rest of the training passed with me sitting under a tree with Miranda trying to
calm down. My wolf was begging for me to go and teach Svetlana's a lesson, but my
mind wanted me to let this go. Cole didn't bother to even ditch Svetlana when his
father called him. A tear formed and escaped my eyes when i saw him whispering
something to her ear that made her giggle. He caught me when i wiped the tear off.
Our eyes met, that caused my eyes to water up more. He noticed and i saw saddness
fill his eyes. Just then the King announced that the training is over. Miranda took
my hand and led me far away from them. Jake came right behind us, "What is going
on?" he asked. We both shrugged, not knowing what to tell them. "Just tell me. You
know I am here for you. Both of you" he said. I don't know why i did it, but the
words just left my mouth.

"I am Prince Cole's Mate"....

Chapter 7

Samantha's POV

Jake was standing there looking at us with his mouth hanging open. He was frozen
and tense at the same time. "Jake?" i asked, i was starting to worry about him "Are
you serious?" he asks me and I only nod once. "How?When? Yesterday when he...so he
is" he was talking on his own muttering things to himself.

"Is everything alright here?" Cole's voice brought us all back to reality, I looked
away from him as Jake just stared at me, "We need to talk." Jake said to me and
walked away, "What do you have to talk about? " Cole asks me, "Its none of your
business." I snap at him and then I realize I am standing here alone talking to
him. Where has Miranda and Jake went? "It is my business" he says coming closer. I
could actually smell his rosy male scent, and then he did what i never thought he
would do. He kissed me.

His lips moved with mine in perfect sync. His arms were wrapped around me,one was
at my low of my back and the other was holding my head against his. I don't know
why i didn't move away from him, I know i should just walk away, but kissing him
felt so good. A moan slipped my lips and I could feel his grin against my mouth. We
pulled away for air and i was smiling at him as he was smiling at me. "Cole" we
heard his father summon him, i wanted to let him go but his arms didn't move an
inch. "I have to run with my father around the land. I will come straight to you
when i am done" he told me and with one last peck on my lips he left. I don't know
how many minutes, even hours i was standing there. The only thing i could think was
the feeling of our lips touching.

When I returned to my room I decided it was time to think things better. Cole is my
mate, he said he loves me,but that doesn't mean something to me. Ever since the
incident with my aunt I've started to believe that mates were not such a good
think,but maybe I am wrong and maybe Miranda is right. Maybe I can have a life with
my mate. But how ?He is the prince ...the soon to be King. I sigh, I am not ready
to be official with him. What about my family? What about my powers? I still
haven't found answers about those Questions, how could I ever find?

Miranda knocked on my door a few minutes later. She brought me some snacks and we
sat there watching TV. "So what did you talk about with your mate? " she asked me
trying hard not to look interested. "Why did you Left? " i asked her, she shrugged
"He is your mate. You have to talk with him" she simply stated. "We kissed" i told
her and she started clapping her hands excited. I shook my head at her, but she
ignored me.

"Tell me everything" she ordered, "You know when his father called him...he told me
he would come back to me when he is done " i told her, "How cute!!" she gasped.
"I don't think i am ready to be official with him" i sincerely told her, "I
understand. Maybe you should take it slow and then everything will get better" she
simply stated.

Later that day Cole stepped into my room while i was pulling clothes out of my bag.
I stared at him wondering why didn't he knock, "You could knock " i told him as he
was closing the door, "I know" he said and gave me a peck at my lips and then
kissed me longer.

"How was your run?" I asked him, "Endless" he replied,"We need to talk" I let the
words out. "Oh-oh " He said and took a seat on my bed. "This is not good" he
continued, "I just want us to talk" I said and went to sit beside him. "About? " he
asked, "Us " I simply stated. He nodded and ushered me to continue, "I-i don't
think I am ready to be official with you yet" I finally said. "Is it because of
your Alpha?" he snapped at me, I shook my head violently "No. No, its not" i
quickly said.

He shook his head and walked out of my room banging the door. My eyes widened, he
walked out of me, that is not the reaction I was waiting for.

A week passed since the incident. Jake and Miranda have been by my side the whole
time and Cole has been so cruel on me.

In training ,from time to time he threw me some glances,but the timing was not on
my side since every time he looked at me Jake was talking to me or he made me
laugh. Cole's jaw clenched every single time he looked at me with Jake.

Svetlana was by his side in every training. Even if i didn't want to admit it she
fought well.

Here we are now in the middle of the training. It was my turn and i was waiting for
the King to announce with who i would be fighting today. "Samantha today you will
be fighting with Svetlana" the King said.

Miranda and Jake looked each other with worry, i on the other hand just took a deep
breath and went to the middle of our little battlefield.

My gaze followed Svetlana as she raised herself from her seat, and came my way
swaying her hips for Cole. From the corner of my eye i saw Cole scowling at her and
a small smile appeared on my face.

"Are you ready? " she asked me, "I was born ready" i replied, she scoffed. She
attacked me and i pushed her away, after that she managed to bring me down. She was
lying on top of me when she whispered to my ear, "Feel bad your mate prefers me?".
My eyes widened and my wolf gave me some of her power so i quickly pushed her away
from me.

Anger flashed my eyes and i attacked her again. "Oh poor little wolf" she told
me,"I pity you really " she continued, i aimed at her again. This time she shifted
midair and knocked me down.

The last thing i heard before darkness swallowed me was Cole's worried voice
calling my name. "Samantha!" and then darkness....

Chapter 8

Samantha's POV

I couldn't open my eyes, i could only hear voices. "Why is she still unconscious?"
Cole's voice appeared on my hearing system and shivers run through me. Sparks were
running from my arm and i immediately knew he was holding my hand. "She is in
pain.Give her time,sir" someone talked. "Thank you,doctor. I assume the fact
Samantha is Cole's mate wont become known to the kindom" the Kings heavy voice
said. "Of course not, my lord. I wouldn't want my future Queen in danger " the
doctor said. Few seconds later the door was probably closed. "Why didn't you tell
me?" the King asked Cole. "She said she wasn't ready to be official with me. I
suspected it was because of their Alpha, Jake" he spat the last part. "I spoke with
him.He said he was into Samantha,but he backed right off when she told him she is
your mate"The king replied.

I felt Cole's lips on my hand and his thumb rubbing my hand softly. "That was wise
of him" Cole said. The King sighed, "The only people who are familiar with this is
her
Alpha, her best friend,the doctor and me. I spoke with each of them and they
assured me they are not going to tell anyone" the King said. "Why all this
secrecy?" Cole asked as my eyes flattered open, "Not now" the King replied.

"How are you feeling Samantha" the King asked me. "I am alright, sire" i replied.
"What happened?" i asked them, there was blank in my mind and i could not remember
a thing. "Svetlana" Cole spat out. "Calm down, my son. You were training with
Svetlana, when you both started attacking badly to each other and you got
hurt,Samantha" the King explained. I faintly remembered her attacking me and then
everything got dark.

I tried to stand up,but Cole pushed me down. "You must rest" he softly spoke to me,
"Where is she?" i asked them, "She is resting in a guest room" the king replied.
"Yes, that happens when someone cause burn mark on you. Why didn't you tell me?"
Cole asked me. "It never came up" i replied casually. "We'll let you rest for
now,but we have things to discuss " the King said firmly ams left the room. "He
wants me to follow him, but i can't leave you alone " my mate said when the king
left my room.

"I am sorry" he said after a while. He was still holding my hand and at times he
placed kisses on it. "You have nothing to be sorry about " i shook my head. "No, i
do have something to be sorry about. I am sorry for acting stupid, for making you
jealous, for not protecting you" he ended. Tears filled my eyes and i stared away
unable to look at him. "I don't want you to be mad at me" he whispered close to my
ear, "I need to know we are okay" he said and with his thumb turned my face to him
and planted a linger kiss on lips.
His lips so soft and caring moving in sync with mine, both his hands were holding
my waist. My arms wrapped around his neck as i surrendered to his kiss. A moan left
our lips at the same time.
I didn't want to stop, i enjoyed his lips on mine so much.
We were so lost in the kiss that we didn't realize that the door was open and
Miranda was standings there with covered eyes "Hmm excuse me" she said her eyes
still covered. Cole and i broke away, "Its okay Miranda.I was just leaving " he
said and with a smile and a last peck on my lips left the room. "You and i really
need to talk" Miranda said,her face serious.
"What is it about?" i asked her worried. "Its about you and Cole" she said..."And
its not good!"####################################
Chapter 9

Miranda's POV

I was worried about my best friend. Watching Sam fighting with Svetlana was both
entertaining and worth worried. I watched them as they attacked each other, i guess
the others couldn't notice that Svetlana was mumbling something to Sam, but i
could.

I could faintly see her lips moving, but I could clearly see that Sam didn't like
whatever she was whispering her. I tried to focus more on them, but it was
impossible. In the end I gave up and I just watched the fight.

After a few minutes Svetlana attacked Sam a little too hard and Sam fell on the
floor, but not before her hands set on fire and caused burn marks on Svetlana's
skin. We all run to her and guards took Svetlana away, but the most piercing scream
came from Sam's mate. The Prince yelled her name and run to her side in no time.

I could see the worry in his eyes filled with anger and worry. I felt bad for him,
but I didn't dwell on it. I just wanted my best friend safe. They took Sam into her
room and called the royal doctor, the King called me and Jake to his study when he
saw us out of Sam's door.

"Wait for me here" he ordered softly. Michelled walked us to his office and left us
there. His office was spacious, with red warm walls and black furnitures. Some
would think that it's took much, but looking at it, it's not at all.

"Why do you think he want to talk us?" I asked Jake. He shrugged "Maybe about Sam?"
he wondered, I shrugged back letting him know that i didn't know either. We both
raised from our sit when the King walked in. He smiled kindly at us and took a seat
in his chair, he motioned with his hand for us to sit down and we did as we were
told. "I wanted to speak to you about an important matter" the King started, Jake
and I stared each other . "About what, sir?" Jake asked politely, "About Samantha
being my son's mate" he said and looked at us deep into the eyes. I felt
uncomfortable under his gaze, "What about it?" Jake asked. "Are you the only people
who knows?" he asked and we nodded, "Look, of you think that Sam isn't good
enough-" i started to say, "That is not the matter" the King said, "For an
important reason i cannot yet reveal you why i want you to keep your
mouth...closed?"he stated and asked at the same time. We nodded, "Sir" someone
called him and opened the door. Immediately a male scent hit my nose making my wolf
squirm. I turned to see a male looking like a Greek-god looking arround, probably
looking for me. "Mate" my wolf scent, but i already knew. His brown eyes found mine
and then drifted to Jake, he growled at him and Jake raised his hands experated "I
am just her Alpha. What is wrong with everyone thinking i am with their mates" he
said. I looked at the King who raised himself from his chair and walked over to my
mate "Excuse me. Derek talk to me'" he said and took Derek, my mate, out of the
room.

My gaze fell on some old papers on the King's desk and Ι went closer. "What are you
doing?" Jake asked me, "Nothing. Just look at that" Ι said and looked at the papers
closely. It was something like a prophecy. Jake came next to me and looked at the
paper he took it and layed it on the desk and told me to sit down. "What is this?"
I asked him, he stayed silent for a second until he told me, "It is said that when
the Prince meets his fire-breathing mate the world will change" he said. "Sam?" I
asked him and he nodded, "I don't understand" i confessed. "This prophecy was made
centuries ago. It is known to every Alpha and every important person of the royal
land, that the next Royal Couple, would be the couple who will change everything"
he said. "Sam and the Prince" i whispered, "Yes, Sam doesn't know. She thinks that
there others like her, but she is wrong. Miranda she is the only fire-breathing
Wolf. She is the prophecy wolf and right now, she is in danger " he finishes.

The King comes back into the room with my mate on his heels. Derek smiles lovingly
at me, but i can't return the smile so i just look down. I can feel his gaze on me
and soon enough i feel his hands on my shoulders. When i look up i see him behind
me with his hands holding my shoulder's comforting me, I smile shyly at him and i
feel all the joy his wolf feels.

"Miranda I know you want to go and see how your friend is doing, so you are
excused" the King said. Derek takes my hand "Come on" he says, his voice sending
shivers down my spine. I follow him outside, he leads me on Sam's room and he makes
a move to open her door. I stop him, "I want to go in alone" I whisper at him, he
frowns, but nods. "I will be here" he says and I kiss him on the cheek. The smile
he returns me is one of excitement and adoration, i love it!

Sam is with her mate. After Cole leaves the room I go closer to her. She looks
better, not pale at all. I wonder then if I should tell her what I found out, but
my inner me takes charge and in no time I started talking to her about what i
found.

Samantha's POV

"What do you mean the only fire breathing wolf?" I ask my best friend Mirand who
for the past couple of minutes, has been telling me things that are odd to me. "You
are the only one" she says again, "What part of it don't you understand? There is
no other like you, the Moon Goddess made only you" she repeats. I stare at the
ceiling saying nothing, what could I say? "Look, along with Prince Cole you and him
are like the best and most powerful couple" she explains. "I see" I simply state
"Does Cole know?" I aske her and she shruggs.

"I met my mate" she says after a couple of minutes, I frown "Why didn't you tell me
that!" I yell at her, she smiles and shakes her head "Relax. I was at the King's
office when I met him" she says with a dreamy look and she starts describing him.
From her description i excpect someone really hot, well not as hot as my mate.
"Miranda? Who is after me?" I ask her and just then Cole gets into the room "Their
name is Black Mooners and they want you and me dead" he states looking me into my
eyes.####################################
Chapter 10

I just stood there staring at him. He spoke so easy, like it was something normal.

"I know it's hard for you. You haven't ever faced something like that before, but I
have and I am sure we are going to ge throught this" he said with full confident. I
sat up slowly not knowing what to say, "What are we going to do?" I finally asked
him. I wanted to know what the plan was, that is if they had a plan.

"We are not sure yet. The only thing we are sure of is that no one is going to find
out about us"he said and kissed my hand. I thought about it, it wasn't a bad idea.
"Okay,i guess" i told him, he smiled at me and looked at Miranda who she
immediately understood what was going on and left the room. "I guess it came good
to you" he commented, "What? " i asked him "This way you are safe and we are not
official " he said trying to sound casual but i saw the hurt in his eyes and voice.
"You don't understand" i told him "I think i do. You have commitment issues" he
said sarcastically. I just stared at him "If you knew you wouldn't be saying that"
i spat at him. He didn't knew and therefore he didn't understand. After what
happened with my aunt my worldview changed, everything i thought about mates
changed. "Then tell me!Help me understand " he begged. "Its not the time" i said
and laid back down on the bed. "okay.Don't sleep i am going to bring you something
to eat" he said and with a kiss on my cheek he left my room.

The next day i was well rested and ready to get back to practice. Today we would
try out our powers,but i was not allowed to practice with them. The King was not
sure with who i could practice my powers, he was still searching the perfect and
well trusted person to help me.

The Queen also visited me. She came with Michelle and cleaned my room despite my
sayings.

Miranda also came by and she introduced me her mate. Derek is handsome and kind,
but also a little intimidating. They sat with me for a while, before Cole came to
help me prepare for my practice. "Are you dressed? " he asked me, i was currently
in my end suite bathroom getting ready. Derek had taken Miranda out for lunch while
Cole was waiting for me.

I chose to wear my leggings and a black t shirt. After I tied my hair in a tight
ponytail i got out. Cole was sitting on my bed looking at some kind of magazine. "I
am ready lets go" I told him while taking a good look at him.

He was wearing a simple black Jean with a while shirt and let me tell you, he
looked good enough to eat.

"Baby i know i am handsome,but you don't have to drool" he said chuckling. My face
turned into deep red and I looked down. I could feel his smile and soon enough I
felt his arms wrapped around me. My wolf howled with pleasure, one single touch
could set me on fire. Note the sarcasm! "Souldn't we get going?" I asked him,
trying hard to keep my voice tone normal. It wasn't easy, his arms were pretty
destracting. "yeah, we should" he whispered next to my ear as his lips traveled all
over my face without kissing me. I let out a soft sigh and he smiled, I could feel
his smile tickling my neck with his lips.

Out of nowhere there was a knock on the door and Michelle's head popped in the
room. "Can you please stop kissing and come practice?" she asked nicely, but I knew
she was getting impatient. "Yes, we are coming" I said while blushing, I pushed
Cole's head slightly away from my neck and followed Michelle out. I knew Cole
didn't like that I pushed him away, and I knew that from the annoyed growl he let
escape his sculptured lips.

Michelle led me into a huge room. The walls were beige and simple and there were
only two large windows. The room was bright by the sun light, my eyes runned over
the room when I spot someone standing in the centre of the room. Of course it was
the King who stood there smiling at me. I smiled back and went closer. "Thank you
Michelle, that is all" he said to Michelle and then turned to me. "Well, Samantha
it is time to see what you can do" he told me and I nodded politely.

He wanted me to show him my fire. So, firstly I let the fire consume me, and then I
let it slide to my fingers then my whole hand "Amazing" he said excited. I smiled
kindly at him and then I simply closed my hand which caused the fire to light out.
"What now?" I asked impatiently, I wanted to learn to do something new. "Since
we've seen how skilled you are, let me introduce you to your trainer" he said and
pointed at another door, which it opened quickly only to reveal Cole. My eyes
widened immediately at the sight, he was wearing his sports shoes along with same
type clothes and he had a stupid grin on his face. "What exactly are you doing
here?" I asked him and he simply shrugged. "I am your trainer, of course" he stated
like it was something natural. "Oh well, I will leave you to it" the King said and
left the room.

"What shall we do with you now" Cole said.....####################################

Chapter 11

"Okay, tell me where my real trainer is" I requested. Cole just sood there staring
at me like I was an idiot. He shook his head "I am your trainer" he said again. How
was this possible? I didn't want Cole as my trainer, I wanted someone who wouldn't
try to kiss me or worse distract me while I practice. "You are telling me, that
there is not even one capable trainer for me?" I asked again, "What is wrong with
me?" he asked slightly offended. "Nothing you are perfect but-" , "So, I am
perfect" he smartly interrupted me. "Cole, I want another trainer" I requested once
more, "That's not going to happen. Every good trainer we have is unmated and I
won't have my mate surrounded by unmated males" he said with an its-final way, I
sighed "Don't start. You don't understand, you will work out and have an unmated
male watching over your beautiful body?Its isn't going to happen" he said once
more.

I knew where he was coming from. If I was in his shoes, I might have done the same
thing. I nodded giving up, "Ok. Let's get started then" I said cheerfully. He
chuckled and made a couple of feet back. "You will train with me only for fighting
matters" he stated, "What about my fire skills?" I asked him confused. If he wasn't
going to train me that way, then who would. "My brother is going to do that" he
answered my question and I frowned. His brother? Does he mean Prince Aiden? There
were rumors that Prince Cole's little brother had a special power which was
inherited by his mothers side. No one knew what his power was, but they all said it
was magnificent.

"Isn't your brother unmated?" I asked him, he nodded and said "Yes, he is indeed.
That is why I threatained him if he makes a move. He. Is.Dead." His tone was
dangerous and it held possesiveness in it. I felt like blushing and my heart
skipped a beat, I had heard that the possesiveness of your mate is something that
turns you on, but I had no idea.

"So, let's start with running" he said, "I want you to run from there to there is 4
seconds" he pointed at one wall and to the other. He wanted me to reach the other
wall in 4 seconds? It's not that it is that hard, but the room was enormous, i
would need at least 10 seconds. But, I tried and i reached only 8 seconds. "Again"
he said and I did it again and again. I did my very best, but I still couldn't
reach the 4 seconds time. "I can't do it" I yelled and he just smiled at me while
shaking his head "You can do it. Just focus, don't push yourself, just close your
eyes and run" he said slowly.

That is exactly what i did, i closed my eyes and run. "EXACTLY!" I heard Cole
yelling and I opened my eyes to see myself on the other end of the room. "3
seconds" Cole told me proudly, I squelled and run to hug him. He took me into his
arms and turned me round and round. "I am so proud of you" he whispered close to my
lips. I was so tempted to kiss him, but the right moment Prince Aiden got into the
room. His face looked amused "Did I interrupt something?' he asked, but i knew he
knew we were about to kiss. "Yes", "No" Cole and I said at the same time. You can
guess who said what. "Not at all Prince Aiden" I said again after throwing a glance
at Cole.

"Well, then...Shall we start?" he asked me and of course i nodded. "I am not

leaving, you know" Cole stated while looking at his little brother who was shaking
his head at him, "Do as you wish, brother" Prince Aiden replied and then looked at
me. He smiled sweetly at me and bowed, "So, you are my stupid big brother's mate?"
he asked me, "Yes, sire" I replied, "Please call me Aiden. I am not that older than
you. Anyway, since my brother is more unlikely to leave us alone, let's begin" he
said teasingly.

Cole growled at his brother, but Aiden ignored it. "Ok, my father told me that you
have the power of fire?" he asks me and I nodd. "Alright, how far your skills go?"
he asked me. I didn't know the answer so out of instict my head turned to the side
a little, as a result of me being confused. "I mean what can you do with it?" he
asks again, I think about it and then i reply. "Well, I can do enough stuff. Like I
can let any part of my body set on fire and I don't feel it" I informed him. He
looked at me for a while, possibly thinking what he should do with me. "Okay, look
what we are going to learn. First of all, you should know that your power is
unique. No one else has it and that is quite special, that's why we are going to
make sure you can control it." he said, "I can already control it" I retorted. He
shook his head, "Samantha, you hurt Svetlana. You caused her burn marks, now I know
she deserved it, but what if it was Michelle or any other innocent person ?" he
asks me trying to reason me, I knew where he was coming from and a while ago I was
terrifing of my powers. As i was listening to him I noticed his tone soften at
Michelle's name and then hard again when he assumed i could hurt her.

That made me think. What if Prince Aiden was Michelle's mate? Was that even
possible? "Then teach me how to control it" i said immediately, "That's what i
intend to do. But not today" he said. I looked at him confused,"Tomorrow at noon.
You are going to spend the morning training and then at noon we are going to start"
he stated and i nodded slightly. "Go now" he ordered, "Don't order her around" Cole
growled. I had forgot that he was here with us. "Yes sire" Aiden said mockingly
and left the room.

I turned around to face my mate. "So we are going to spent tomorrow morning
together" i stated, he smiled excitedly "Oh yes " he said. I giggled "Training?" i
asked and nodded now looking all serious.
"Alright. Then i am going to take a shower and then i will enjoy the rest of the
day" I smiled sweetly at him and made my way to my room.

I could hear him following me a few steps behind. I wanted to talk to him, but
someone might hear and I didn't want to risk it.
So, I got into my room and made my way to my drawers to take some clothes and some
panties. A few seconds later I heard the door open and shut. "So you are going to
take a shower?" he asked me even though he already knew the answer. His arms snakes
around my waist from behind as his lips touched my soft skin.
I bit back a moan not wanting to provoke him. "Cole, I got to get into the shower"
i breathed out. "Ok, lets go" he said and took my hand pulling me towards the
bathroom. I stopped abruptly and shook my hand "No, don't you have a Princes duty
or something?" I asked him. I don't want him to be all day with me and leave his
duties aside, it isn't right for the King to do all by himself. "I do,but i want to
spend some time with you"he pouted. He looked so adorable looking like this, "Go
do whatever you have to do and i will be right here when you come back" I whispered
close to his lips. He smiled at me and pecked my lips, "I will be back before you
know it,babe" he said and laid a nice soft kiss on my lips.

I got into the shower and let the warm water take away all my worries and fears.
Worries about what is going to happen tomorrow at my training. Don't get me wrong i

Chapter 12

 "Okay, so I sneaked into the Kings office, which was extremely hard, but I got to
copy some of the papers I told you about. About the Black Mooners? Anyway don't
worry, I think that I have most of the pieces of this crazy puzzle. Many many years
ago there was a girl, a she-wolf with the power of the most dangerous element,
which is fire. She was feared by everyone in her pack, they thought that the Moon
Goddess had made a mistake or that she was an abomination. So, her pack sent her to
the current King in order for him to decide what he is going to do with her. When
the King saw her he was enchanted by her and he recognized her as his mate. But,
her pack named as the Black Moon pack, was disgusted by her and wanted to kill her,
that's when the battle started" she continued, I did nothing but hearing the story
she was telling me while she showed me some sketches and drawings. "The Black
Mooners in order to kill the "happy couple" gathered all the witches, werewolves
and generaly every magical being that was against the King and his mate. Now, some
witches, the good ones took the King's side and casted a spell upon the King and
his mate. The spell the witches casted said that there will be another couple like
them and they will unite the whole Kindom and that there will be fights and
destructions no more. They sealed the spell with their blood. " she said and made a
pause, "Is this the end?" I asked her and she shook her head, "Almost. For a
thousands of years the Black Mooners seek the next Royal Couple in order to kill
them and not be killed" she finished.

Hearing all those crazy information made my head spin around in crazy speed. This
couldn't be happening, but it's true, i can feel it. "How? Why?" I tried to make a
sentence, but only small words were able to leave my mouth. "I don't know other
details. Just that if they find you, they will you and that...the kindom will fall"
she said sadly. I looked at her confused, "Why would the Kindom fall?" I ask her
unable to understand why a kindom like our would fall if i die. "Because you are
now the Luna" she tries to make me understand. "I am not" I object, she sighed.
"Technically not. But Cole has already accepted you, so soon enough you will mate
and then you will be the Luna. It's that simple" she stated.

"How are we going to live?" I asked her. "I mean, on the run? Never stopping,
always afraid that we are going to be discovered?" I asked her, she shrugged and
came by my side "I know that it's not easy for you and I don't think that Cole is
that oblivious. Maybe he has a plan?" she says trying to comfort me, but the doubt
has already made a place in my mind. I can't live on the run, it was my dream to
settle somewhere far away along with my mate. Have a family. I guess that is never
going to happen, I will always be a secret. What if the King decides that Cole
shouldn't be with me, or even if he makes him mate and marry someone else and have
me as a.... lover? No, that is never going to happen.

My wolf growls at the thought, "Don't think the worst please" Miranda beggs me and
she sighs again "What do you think? That eventually he is going to get bored hiding
you and mate somebody else?" she asks me with her are-you-crazy-tone. I stay quiet
not able to reply, she caught me. "Oh my god! That's what you were thinking isn't
it?" she asks me with hands on her waist "You are crazy, you know that? Cole loves
you, he will never do something like that" she says, after several moments she
mumbles "He is not your aunts mate". I froze at my place hearing that, i stay
looking at her, eyes cold, mouth thin. I can't believe she said that, she knows how
I feel about it and yet she mentions it. "Can you please leave me alone for a
second?" I ask her as kindly as I can. "Sam I am sorry I didn't-", "Just GET OUT" I
scream.

She nodds and leaves the room. I gather all the papers she's left on my bed and put
it in the drawer of the nightstand. I lay down on my bed looking outside, I stare
at the sky getting lost in thought. All different scenarios play in my mind. Cole
getting married with someone else, me all alone, stuff like that. I feel almost
broken even though none of this might happpen.
I don't know how many minutes or even hours I had been looking out without
thinking. My mind had closen off and my wolf denied open a conversation with me. I
tried talking to her, but she kept shuting me out refusing to listen while I tried
to show her all the possibilites. I wanted to ready, I didn't want to cry or break
down If Cole or his parents told me that I am not qualified to be his mate.

I am strong. I know that, this is why I am not going to let anyone bring me down.
The sooner I get trained the better.

Suddenly I felt somebody's arms wrapped around me I froze for a second, but the
Cole's scent hit me like a thousand bricks. "Here you are" he whispered and kissed
the spot below my ear. "Yeah, where were you?" I asked him, "I was helping my
father with some business" he replied. "Hmm" I said enjoying the warmth of his
skin, I snuggled closer to him feeling every inch of his clothed body against mine.
I wanted him to make all my fears slip away, make me feel safe and wanted,
"Samantha? Is there something wrong?" he gently asks me while making some hair that
fell on my face out of the way. That made my face lit up and my heart skip a
precious beat. "Tell me" he insisted and kissed my nose making me giggle. "That's a
lovely sound" he commented and I blushed. Usually I didn't blush and I didn't even
giggle, but with Cole everything looks so much easier and yet so many difficulties
are laying on the road to happiness. "I-" I started to say, but what should I say?
That I am scared? I've never in my life let someone see me scared, it's something I
didn't allow to myself, that's because according to my grandfather fear is
weakness.

"I missed you" I say instead and I come to meet Cole's happiest smile. It's one of
those smiles that are only destined for special people, for someone you love, you
desire, you crave. For a moment I felt whole, like Cole was there to keep me safe
and sound. I smiled back at him and leaned in to kiss him. The kiss was full of
love and desire, full of happiness and relief. Relief for what? Maybe he thought
that I didn't miss him as much as he did, but he was wrong, he is wrong. I already
want him around me, the thing is I don't know how he truly feels.

"I missed you too" he whispers close to my lips. I let a sigh escape my mouth and
my eyes travel from his sculptured lips to his magical eyes. He stares at me
lovingly, "How about we go out tonight?" he asks out of no where. I frown, "What?"
I ask him "Like a date. I want to take you out" he says again. I stay silent for a
minute trying to process what he is telling me, "Cole. Is it really a good idea?" I
ask him.

He shakes his head, "Go and get ready, I expect you when i come back to be
stunning. I will take you somewher safe" he says and leaves the room.

"Maybe a date will do me good?" I ask myself out loud....

Chapter 13
####################################

I searched through my closet throwing clothes everywhere, just trying to find the
perfect outfit. "Argh" i let out a furstrated type of scream. There was a knock on
the door and Miranda got in. She looked around my room with a frown on her face
"Hey" she says quietly when her eyes land on me. I know why she is distant, it's
because of what happened earlier, but right now I have no time to start fighting or
apologising. "I need your help" I say and she nods gettin further into the room.

"I am going to a date" I start and she nods, "With Cole?" she asks me. I give her
the who-do-you-think look and she gives me a small smile. "Okay, let's see" she
trails off while searching through my clothes. We spent a good five minutes
searching before at the far end of the closet we found the perfect dress.

"That's it" she announce and makes me go wear it. The dress is purple and its
clearly a summer dress. On the waist there is a large bow and the bottom opens up
like a flower. "I like it" I whisper astonished, "Good, now make up" she says and
pushes me to sit on a chair in fron of the mirror. She applies some light eye
shadow and a little blush with mascara on the eyes, wanting to leave it simple.
"Perfect' she says just as Cole gets into my room "Wow" he says as he sees me. Oh,
i forgot to tell you, i let my hair on their natural curls since i didn't have
enough time to straighten them. "Okay, get out of here" she says, but soon enough
she asks, "Wait, how are you going to get out? What if someone sees you?" she asks,
Cole shakes his head and takes my hand.

I didn't even realize how we got out that fast, but thanks to Cole's senses in no
time we were walking up some dark stairs. "Where are we going?" I ask him, he
doesn't reply he keeps holding my hand tight and pull me up the stairs.

Finally we reach a dark door. "This is our date" he says and pecks my lips leaving
a tingly sensation run through me. He opens the door only to reveal the castles
roof top. At the middle of the room was a table with two plates, food, a rose in a
vase and candles all around, along with rose petals scattered on the ground
creating a path to the table. "Oh my god, Cole what have you done?" I asked him
with a smile. He smiled back and made me sit at a chair.

"Something simple" he says with the most beautiful smile i've ever seen.

We ate our food and drunk our wine in a comfortable silence, both of us enjoying
each others company. Cole was staring at me assesing my every move, "Stop staring"
I said while blushing, he chuckled and took my right hand which was laying on the
table. "Did i tell you that you look stunning?" he asked and shook my head at the
cheesy line. "What its true" he said, "Do you want to dance?" he asked me some
seconds later. I smile and nod at him, he takes my hand leads me a little further
away from the table.

We sway at the sound of music, which I have no idea from where it comes from. I
asked Cole, but he told me not to worry about it. I am currently restin my head on
Cole's shoulder due to my high. Cole is obviously taller than me, but I too for a
girl am tall enough. "Cole?" I say, "Hmm?" he replies in a way I know he was lost
in thought, "I think I l-" I was about to say an really important sentence, but I
was cut off by a young man, possibly at my age, who came barging up the stairs and
opened the door 'My Prince" he says breathlesly, "We need you" he finishes. "What's
going on?" he asks his Prince's mode on.

"Your father, sir".....................

Chapter 14
####################################

We are outside the King's chambers while people are running all around. I have yet
to understand what happened due the fact Cole stormed down to the Kings rooms
during our date at the top of the castle.

Miranda was already near the chambers when I got down of the roof top. "What
happened?" I asked her, she shook her head sadly. "The King is dead" she said and a
tear rolled down her cheeks. We all had a special relationship with the King, he
was our ultimate leader, he was nice and kind and always there for us. I felt a
bond break inside me, the kind of bond every werewolf feels when his leader is
gone. At the same time I felt another bond forming inside of me and I knew that it
was Cole's wolf taking the Kings place. He is the heir after all.

"Where is the Queen?" I ask Miranda she nods with her head behind a close door,
"Alone?" I ask her "No, there are maids with her" she replies. I nod and look
around, "What we should do now?" I ask her and she shrugs "I have no idea, Derek
just got in there. Let's go back to our rooms. I am sure everyone are upset enough"
I agree with her and we both make our way to our rooms.

That was definitely not the way I wanted my date to end. I was hoping for something
more romantic and the Kings death was not romantic at all. I was wondering what was
Cole doing right now, if he wanted to be comforted or if he was breaking the castle
down. I am sure he was okay, I mean I knew he was strong and he could go through
this, right?

For an hour the only thing on my mind was Cole. I wanted to see him, to comfort
him, just be there for him. As him mate I should do this, I told myself and I
raised from the chair I was sitting on.

I was still wearing my dress, but I didn't care. I just wanted to see if my mate
was alright. I sniffed the air in order to catch Cole's scent. Finally I smelt his
unique mouth-watering scent and I followed it until I was outside the King's
office, which I suppose now belongs to Cole. The door was half closed, so I decided
to slowly pop my head to see if he was still there. As I was leaning over I caught
Svetlana's scent as well and I felt my wolf growl.

When I opened the door completely Svetlana was kissing Cole while her hands was
holding his low on her waist.

The world stopped right there for me. Seeing them together seemed right and wrong
at the same time. "Sam?" Cole said breaking away from their kiss, Svetlana smiled
evilly at me, while Cole say, "No, no its-" , "Save it" I say while raising my hand
as a gesture for him to stop talking. I don't need to hear the lame line 'It's not
what you think'...

I turn to leave and at the same time I hear Svetlana squeal and I feel Cole's arms
around me. "No" he says again, this time close to my ear. I can feel his whole
front pressed to my back pulling me closer to him, my wolf wanted him to explain
but my human self wanted to punch him in the face. Instead of that I just pushed my
body out of his arms and went straight to Miranda's room, not risking him coming to
my room at night.

"Hey" she says as she opens the door for me with sleepy eyes. "Sam? What's wrong?"
she asks, now fully awake and takes me to her arms. She closes the door and makes
me sit on a chair next to a table like the one in my room. I see Derek coming near
us until he is next to Miranda, throwing an arm around her waist "Is everything
alright?" he asks me and I nod, "I think we should stay alone" Miranda says to
Derek who nods and with a last peck on her lips he leaves us.

"Do you want to talk about it?" she asks me, I shake my head. "Well, I do. I don't
like seeing you like this; I have never seen you like this. Who made you cry?" she
asks me, I can feel the best friend's mode is already on. I smile sadly at her,
what can I actually say to her? That I gave into my feelings and trusted Cole to be
the good mate and he failed me? I couldn't say that, not because of me, but because
she has always believed in the perfect mate relationship and I don't want to be the
one to break it to her.

"Oh, Miranda" I say letting a tear run freely down my face. "Did he...Did he slept
with someone else? No, that can't be it you were on your date" she says reasoning
herself, but when her eyes landing on my wide one she knew. "With who?" she asked.
"I just caught him and Svetlana kissing and I am in no mood to talk" I explain. She
nods and runs straight to her closet and brings me a pair of white pajamas. "Do you
want me to bring cookies and milk?" she asks me, it's something we always did when
we were little. We used to sit in front of the bed opposite the TV with cookies and
milk while wearing our pajamas and talk with the TV on. I smiled at her and
nodded. Within minutes we were both sitting against the bed while a random movie
was playing on the TV.

I know that neither of us were watching the movie. My mind was lost to Cole and I
was sure Miranda was trying to find a way to help me. It was obvious that she
didn't know what to do, but I wasn't in mood to make conversation or anything else.

"Samantha?" I heard Cole's voice outside Miranda's room. She immediately turn to me
and I just stared at her with wide eyes. "He was going to find you sooner or later"
she said, "You told him?" I asked her staring at her terrifying. "No, of course
not. I am just saying that you are him mate and your scent is unique to him. He was
going to find you" she said.

I took a deep breath making a huge effort to close Cole's banging voice out of my
head. He kept knocking and banging the door begging me to open up and talk to him,
but I couldn't. My wolf was growling and howling at the same time, my mind was
blurry and suddenly I had the urge to scream, just because I felt like this way
everything would stop.

It was obvious Miranda didn't know what to do. She had to listen to her Kings
orders, but at the same time she had to be there for me and don't let Cole get to
me. "My King I don't think it's a good idea to talk to her now" Miranda tried to
reason him, he stopped banging the door, but he started yelling instead. "Miranda I
need to talk to Sam, open the damned door" he yelled, Miranda looked at me and
smiled sadly at me as I nodded for her to open the door.

When the door was opened and unlocked Cole stepped in, he eyes immediately found
mine and I cowered under his glare. "I am sorry for the yelling Miranda" he kindly
apologised "It is no big deal sir" she said and bowed her head. My eyes stayed
focused on Cole as he, with one move, scooped me up from the floor and threw me
over his shoulder. He didn't even give me time to protest as he made his way to his
room with big steps.

He threw me on the bed and went over the door which was wide open from our entrance
and when he closed it, he closed it securely. He then turned to face me with an
angry expression, I don't know why, but I felt like I have done something wrong. "I
really hate it when you are running from me" he stated. I swallowed and looked
away, "You didn't even let me explain" he continued, " It wasn't what it looked
like" he said and something inside me snapped.

"Oh, please don't start with the same idiot line every cheater says" I snapped at
him angrily. "I know exactly what was going on in there, I saw it with my own eyes"
I told him. "You think you got it right? You seriously think that I would kiss
Svetlana, let alone sleep with her when I have you? You are my mate Samantha, I
don't want any other woman except you" he said sincerely. My wolf believed him, she
screamed to me Run near him, but I didn't move from the bed.

"You had your hands on her waist and your lips on hers" I slowly stated already
shaking with anger. "She forced me! If you had paid more attention you would have
seen her hands holding mine when her lips attacked me. I didn't even had the time
to react when you walked into the office" he said. My mind was telling me he was
lying, but my heart and wolf were agreeing in something completely different.
"Cole-", "Please believe me" he begged me as he took my hands, which were laying on
my lap, in his. He kissed them gently and said "I want those hands to touch my
body" he continued with a linger kiss on my lips "And I want those lips to feel on
mine and on my body" he said and winked. "Oh, your perverted sight" I said and he
smirked. He leaned to kiss me again, but I turned my head. His eyes frowned as I
sighed and shook my head. I raised from bed and walked near the window, but not
close since there was still the danger of being seeing by someone. "Why?" I asked
him, I could tell he was looking at me confused, but I didn't want to see him. "Why
what? Sam, Svetlana means nothing to me. I have never even kissed her before, she
is just a really annoying woman who thinks she owes me. But she doesn't, I don't
belong to her I belong to you body and soul" he said pulling me into his arms. I
refused to rest my head on his chest; something inside me was yelling at me that I
am stronger than that. Never once in my life had I been this weak. I hated the
feeling of weakness; my family did everything in her power to make me brave.
Because of my power everyone thought I should be strong and invincible.

"Sam?" he summons me pulling me out of my thoughts. "I believe you Cole" I said,
"But don't expect me to run to you and be all lovey dovey, that is not me" I
finished. "I don't want you to be someone else. I want you to be you" he said and
for another time he leaned into me, I kissed him softly on his lips and soon the
kiss turned into a passionate one. His hands gripped my waist and we both let all
our emotions run into the kiss. I moaned into the kiss and he growled playfully as
his hands gripped my ass and lifted my so I straddled his waist, as my legs were
wrapped around him.

"Cole stop" I said, his lips left my lips and found their way to my neck as he
planted kisses all over it. I pulled away slightly and he got the message, he let
me down slowly and pecked my lips once more. "You are very important to me Sam. I
don't want to lose you" he said. "I don't wan to lose you either. Cole?" , "Yes, my
love?" he asked, it was time for me to ask. I know its too soon, but I have to
know.

"What happened to your father?"

Chapter 15

Cole stiffened in front of me. His eyes made holes into mine; I knew that moment
that something was wrong. If the King, I mean the previous King, had died naturally
then Cole wouldn't be this stiff. "Sam...Someone murdered my father" he whispered
low enough for me to hear. It was my turn to stiffen. "What are you talking about?"
I asked him, he shook his head and his arms left me. He started passing around the
room as he started talking.

"His death wasn't from a heart attack or any natural cause. I haven't even informed
my mother" he said, "She doesn't know he is dead?" I asked him and he shook his
head "Of course she does, she felt it right away, but I didn't tell her about the
claws" he said.

I took a seat on the bed and looked at him waiting for him to talk to me when he is
ready. After several minutes he started talking again, "I found a note beside his
body" he whispered loud enough for me to hear, he shoved his hands into his pockets
and pulled out a small white paper. He passed to me and I read it:

"Looks like daddy weren't strong enough to protect you Prince Cole, but don't
worry because we are coming and we'll make sure you and your little mate get what
you deserve.

PS. Watch your back, someone is a traitor

The Back Mooners"

My eyes widened and the small paper slipped from my hands. My mind felt numb and
the words of the Black Mooners echoed through my head, I couldn't believe that the
King died because of me and Cole. Basically it was because of me, Cole would be
alright if I didn't exist, if my fire power passed me.

I found it hard to breathe. "Sam?" Cole asked and kneeled in front of me, I put my
head on my hands and tried to calm myself down. Eventually Cole tug me into a tight
hug and whispered sweet and soothing words at me. Gently he moved my back and forth
like I am a baby, but it definitely worked. After an hour I fell asleep in his
arms.

I opened my eyes the next morning after having the best sleep in my life. The bed
so comfortable, soft and hard at the same time giving me an interesting nice sleep.
I moved around a bit and I heard someone moan behind me, analyzing the space around
me I noticed two large strong, definitely muscular arms were wrapped around me
trapping me into their own secure palace. I turned slightly to see Cole's angelic
face inches away from mine. He looked so calm and yet so troubled. My hand moved to
its own accord and touched Cole's face softly, I trailed my hand from his chin to
his nose and then I decided to turn my body completely. It was then that I realized
I wasn't wearing my clothes, instead I was wearing one of Cole's shirts judging by
the scent. Why the hell did he change me? What was wrong with my pajamas? "What is
troubling you, love?" Cole's sleepy voice startled me, "Morning, I- umm. What am I
wearing?" I asked as nicely as I could, I couldn't yell just yet, but I would give
it a go if he replies me with his own perverted way.

"I wanted to see how you looked like in my clothes" he replied with a small grin.
"Cole, I like my pajamas!" I fake whine and hit him on his arm, he smiled widely at
me and with one move he is on top of me. He begins kissing my neck, reaching my ear
and back down creating an imaginary line with his sweet kisses. A moan escapes my
lips and I instantly feel Coles smile against my skin. "I love it when you moan" he
whispers and I blush deeply scarlet. He chuckles a little before he returns to his
personal task, which is kissing my neck.

He licks the special space where my mark should be and I can't help buy stiff a
little. Cole notices that and he stops. A deep sigh escapes his lips, he knows I am
not ready for this. "I should get up, I have things to take care of" he says and
rises from the bed. I stay there silent, waiting for him to get into his bathroom,
so I can return to my room. He bends and pecks my lips and then proceeds to his en
suite bathroom.

That's my cue, I thought and silently, but quickly enough I walk out of his room.
Looking around I realize I have no idea where I am, the hallway Cole's room is,
it's different.

With slow steps I found myself moving away from Cole's room and move into yet
another unknown hallway. Taking a turn I bump into Derek who looks at me with
confusion clear in his eyes. His eyes go up and down assessing what I am wearing, a
slight smirk appears in his eyes and says "I assume you spent the night with our
King?" he asks me kindly. I nod and smile at him while blushing like crazy, "You
don't know how to return to your chamber, do you?" he asks again, for once more I
nod. He offers me his hand which I take and we make our way to my room.

"Thank you Derek" I say and he smiles while bowing, then he disappears through the
hallways. Getting into my room, I feel like a weight lifts my shoulders.

I know that I am not ready for Cole to kiss me. Its not only because I am not ready
emotionally, but after what happened with Svetlana I begin to have doubts. Sure I
haven't given him any chance, but I never trust people easily.

A knock on the door made me frown. "Hey, are you in there?" I heard Miranda's sweet
voice. Soon enough she was in my room and we both sat cross legged while talking
about me and Cole.

"Look, I know that it's not easy, but hey what's easy in this life?" she asks me.
Miranda was trying desperately to convince me to give into Cole, she already knew
the reason why I couldn't do such thing and yet he pushed it. I shook my head, as I
needed a distraction and that came when Prince Aiden burst into my room. "Sam, go
get ready we have power training in 10' "he said.

That was the distraction I needed, I said bye to Miranda and she left me alone to
get ready. After that I went straight to my own training room.

I opened the door what I saw in there scared the hell out of me....

Chapter 16

Prince Aiden, I mean Aiden was standing in front of an army.

The mean who were standing behind him were terrifying. They had bright red eyes and
nails! They were all looking ahead throwing glares at the wall. Aiden was just
standing then looking all calm and Prince alike waiting for me to come in, but I
couldn't move.
"Are you coming in? We have worked to do" he said sternly, "There is an army right
behind you" I informed him. He looked at me with his i-know-right face. "This is
for your training. Now get in here and close the door" he ordered and I complied.

He made me stand in front of the army as many red eyes focused on me. "Now, don't
be frightened. They are here to help you grow stronger. Look at their red eyes and
think of fire" he said while walking around me.

I did what he asked; I focused on their eyes, the deep red that looked like pure
blood. "Think of someone evil" he whispered at me, "Someone who wants to hurt you
or someone you love" he continued.

In a minute my mind was filled with horrified images. My parents dead with blood
shed all over them, and then Miranda. Lastly I saw Cole looking at me with pleading
eyes before he fell to the ground.

My mind went crazy at that thought and fire was released from my body. Immediately
they all caught fire, when I realized what I have done I stopped right away, but
the men were already burnt down. "What have I done" I whispered shocked. Aiden
laughed and threw an arm around my shoulders. "Relax, that was just me" he said
making me look at him confused.

"I can easily play with peoples
kingdom." He informs me, "Those
explains. "That was....awesome"
did really well. The Cole scene
still can't get Cole's reaction
mind. That's why I am so important in this
men were not real, you were hallucinating" he
I say and he starts chuckles, "I know right. You
seems to cause it all" he says. I shake my head, I
out of my mind.

"What's going on with my brother, now that we've mentioned it" he says, clearly
trying to get me to open up. What a gossip boy. "What do you mean?" I ask. "I saw
him earlier. He didn't look that bright" he commented.

Hearing that made my heart break a little, I didn't want him to feel bad because
of me. "Aiden, can I ask you something?" I ask as kindly as I can. "Sure" he says.
"Do you know what he thinks of me?" I ask.

For a minute Aiden brows turn into a frown. "You are his mate, what could he
possibly think?" he asks, that was my cue to ask him what I really wanted. "That
maybe true, but maybe I haven't seen you with Michelle" I say, "Yes, I'm different
my dad didn't want Michelle even though I love her-" he says and stops mid
sentence. A little smile finds his way to my face as I look at Aiden who starts
blushing like crazy. "So, its true. Michelle is your mate" I state.

He sighs and takes a sit on the ground which I copy. "You can't tell anyone" he
orders rather softly, "Why not? If she is your mate what is wrong with it. Wait.
How long? I mean...and....does she know?" I ask kind of shakily. For an unknown
reason I feel protective of Michelle, maybe its because of her small figure that
makes me look at her like my little sister.
"For a year or so, you know I was away and a year ago I returned from my trip and I
saw her and she saw me and it was....love at first sight" he explained with a
dreamy look. "Then are you together?" I ask him and he shakes his head making me
frown immediately. "Why not?" I ask again right away.

He shakes his head repeatedly as if he is trying to clear his head about something.
Suddenly he gets up and walks towards the door, "Cole will be here to train you
some more" he says with a monotone voice.

After Aiden left the training room I stayed where I was, on the floor thinking
about what I have just been informed. Aiden and Michelle are mates and they are not
together. Maybe because Michelle is a maid? But hey, where do we live on 19th
century? If they are mates they are supposed to be together. He supposed to love
her and eventually mark her like any other wolf would do.

I explain to myself but soon enough my wolf says , "You didn't even let your mate
mark you".

I know she is right and its quite painful to hear it, but she should be more
understanding. I choose not to reply and I let her talk or think for herself. I
sigh while I am waiting for Cole. I wanted to apologize for earlier, but I couldn't
just let him mark me. I mean last night he was kissing Svetlana even though he told
me that she attacked him and he didn't have time to react. I can't stop thinking
about it. Svetlana is without a doubt gorgeous, but she is evil and sneaky and I
don't like her. Why should I of course.

"Are you ready?" suddenly Cole's voice rings through my ears causing me to jump.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. I thought you would have sensed me" he
explains, 'No, I was thinking about something else" I say.

As I am standing in front of him I find the perfect moment to completely analyze

his lovely face. His sparkling green eyes were looking at me lovingly, his matched
perfectly with his face while his lips were full and kissable.

He continued to look at me with that look which made my heart flutter. Normally I
wouldn't allow that to myself, but my wolf wanted to let those feelings out.

"Sam, is everything alright?" he asks me worried, I smile at him and nod. "Shall we
start?" I ask and he nods.

The next hour was full of fights. No, not real fights. Cole showed me some moves
which I already knew and I tried to beat him. He was soft on me and I used that to
my advantage which made me win the next 5 rounds. "I didn't know you knew all of
those moves" he stated proudly, "I am a good fighter mate, you better watch it" I
threatened him playfully and he growled while he took me in his arms.

For a moment I let myself get lost to his arms. Enjoy the warm feeling and the
sparks which were running all around. "Cole?" i said, "Yes, love?" he answered. "I
am so sorry for earlier. I didn't mean I didn't want you to mark me, its just I am
not ready. We are not ready." I stated and apologized, but he just shook and smiled
at me.

"I know Sam. It's just... it wasn't... Anyway" he said and took my hand. When we
reached the door he turned to face me, "I want to talk to you about something" he
said.

"About what?" I asked kind of worried. "Something important. Come to my office in

an hour" he ordered and pecked my lips.

After an hour or so I was making my way to Cole's office. I was feeling nervous,
since I had no idea what he wanted to tell me. I was a little worried, but I didn't
want to let it out.

Getting closer to his office I managed to put

decided who my Beta would be and the official announcement will take place
tomorrow" he announced. "Which will it be?" one of the older men asked "Derek, my
loyal friend will be by my side as my Beta, gentlemen" he said with a final tone.

All of the guys bowed their heads, something that I didn't do. Of course soon
enough I felt his lips on the side of my head. "Thank you, you may leave" he said
and the men started departing. I didn't miss Aiden's upset face the time Cole
announced his decision, but I didn't dwell on it.

Cole kissed my head again letting his lips linger a little more. "I would like to
take you on another date" he said out of no where. "Why?" I asked him, the truth is
I would like to go to another with him since the first one didn't end well. "I was
thinking about us and I came to realize that we need to get to know each other and
then we have to make appearances out to the rest of the kingdom" he said.

"What?" I asked, "What are you talking about? We can't let others know about us" I
tried to reason him. He nodded and let out a sigh, "I know, not yet. But tomorrow
night we have the ceremony in which I will be crowned as King and Derek as my Beta.
I would like you to be next to me" he confessed. I sighed too after a while, I knew
what he meant, but it's not right.
"We can't. Not yet at least not until we know what to do with the Black Mooners." I
said. He sighed once more and then sat on the chair behind the desk. "You are
right. But I will deal with it, you should focus on your training and your powers"
he spoke like a King and a mate at the same time. "I need to help you" I said, "If
we work together we will find them and put an end in this story" I finished.

He shook his head looking determined. "No, you will do what I said. Just let me
handle this" he said, I threw my hands in the air a sudden anger run through me. "I
can help you!" I said a little louder than what I wanted. Cole looks taken back
from my little outburst.

"Sam, I just want you safe" he says walking near me but I start pacing back and
forth, "I want to help. I am pretty capable you know" I inform him. "I know" he
says calmly and takes my hands in his. "I just want you safe until I know what I
should do, and then we'll see...ok?" he asks in the end and I nod.

After our little argument and after he managed to calm me down I made my way to my
room where Michelle and Miranda were waiting for me. News travel fast, and I
realized that when both my friends had dresses in their hands and make up products.

"Are you alright?" Michelle asks me as she helps me with my dress. "Yes, of
course. Aren't you supposed to be helping the Queen and the rest of the maids?" I
ask out of pure curiosity, "I am going to help you here a bit and then walk down to
the great hall to see if everything is settled. The Queen is so sad she can't take
charge right now" she explains to me with a sad tone.

I always thought that Michelle had a more friendly relationship with the Queen,
"Michelle? You are really fond of the Queen aren't you?" I ask her and she nods
with a genuine smile, "She practically raised me Sam, I love her very much" she
says and walks to the closet and when she comes out she has shoes in her hands.

Miranda is working on her hair in my bathroom and I take the opportunity to ask her
something I am dying to. "Michelle? I know you are Prince Aiden's mate" I say as
clearly and yet slow and low as I can. I see her stiffen for two minutes before she
lowers her head and proceed in giving me the shoes, then she turn to walk, but I
stop her right away. "Why aren't you with him? Why didn't you take you1r place as
the Princes mate?" I ask her, she looks at me sad.....

"Do me a favor. Be careful tonight, things are about to happen, that you won't
like. The Black Mooners are near" she whispers the last part and walks out of the
room leaving me speechless.

Hey, guys sorry for the late update, but i was writing some important Exams!! But
here i am with another chapter. I will try and update regularly... Picture of

After Miranda and I got ready we went down to the huge place where a very special
ball was held. Tonight Cole will be crowned as a King and Derek as his Beta. It is
a great deal for the kingdom; since our last King is dead the kingdom is mourning
and celebrates at the same time.

While we walk around the room we spot the rest of the Specials and we make our way
to them. The whole time I replay in my mind what Michelle told me. I haven't told
Miranda what I know yet, but I don't know how to do it. The question is how
Michelle knows? The Queen can't have told her, the matter is only for some people
to know. The maids and the rest of the kingdom are allowed to know only if the
situation gets out of hand.

I decide to take Michelle's warning seriously, so I start look around all the
guests. I notice some familiar faces, people I saw at the last ball. I find nothing
to worry about, maybe Michelle was just trying to scare me, but why? I shake my
head at that thought, Michelle is a nice girl she wouldn't want to frighten me.

I started chatting with my friends, talking about training and the fact that I
didn't train with them. At first they started asking me questions, but Miranda
covered for me saying that she too had a very special training due to the fact we
both have powers that most people don't. They totally bought it!

While Miranda and the rest of the Specials were still into their conversation I
took my chance to look around once more. Out of nowhere I notice several people,
most likely guys standing around. They were far away from each other, wearing black
costumes, at first I thought they were the guards, but they weren't wearing their
uniform.

I looked around once more and noticed that one of them had his eyes glued on my. I
frowned at him and he smiled evilly at me, suddenly his eyes flashed dark red and
walked away.

Without a word I walked as fast as I could in order to follow the weird man. His
pace increased, but I was determined to catch up with him "Hey!" I summoned him,
but he didn't pay me any mind. Within minutes we were right outside of the forest,
he turned around and looked at me deep into the eyes. Right then images flashed
into my mind, a young girl around my age running, then the same girl in the arms of
a man while fire was securing them and suddenly screams were echoing and a strong
headache hit my head. I tried really hard to ignore it, but the pain was too much.
The man continued looking into my eyes as I let the fire within me take over.

The headache was strong, but the fire healed it. The man in front of me looked so
confident that he didn't even flinch when the fire started viciously dancing around
him. The dark red color in his eyes remained. The fire hugged him, but judging from
the way his body remained calm he didn't feel it.

He smiled at me and whispered "I will see you soon, Samantha" and with that he left
into the forest.

"SAMANTHA STOP" I heard Cole screaming at me. I turned around and saw him with a
couple of guards and Miranda and Jake behind him. They all looked a little
terrified and I realized its because of me. The fire was all around me keeping me
safe from any threat. "It's alright" he said softly and stretched his hand for me
to take.

I was afraid, I always thought that I could tame my fire, but ever since I came
here its over my control. First Svetlana, now this and many more to come, I
thought. Maybe that's what Aiden was talking about me not being able to keep
everyone around me safe.

"Come on sweetheart" Cole's sweet yet urgent voice pulled me out of my train of
thoughts. "Just concentrate. You can do this" he said, I took a deep breathe and
somehow I managed to put the fire out. With that Cole rushed to me and pulled me to
his arms, I got out of his embrace as soon as I could.

He looked hurt, but I might hurt him if he stays close to me. I might hurt the
people I love because I can't get a hold of my fire. "Sam?" he asks, I shake my
head and take several steps back. "Let's get you inside" Miranda says making a move
to come closer to me, but I take more steps back until I am against a tree.
"It's not safe" I mumble, "I am not safe". Cole looks worried and so does everyone
else that are present.

"I am sorry" I apologize and runt to my room, where probably I will hurt no one.

I have never been more afraid of myself. All the confidence that I once had, slowly
fades away and I have no idea what to do. I must find Aiden and talk to him, make
him help me. Until it's safe to be around people, I will stay away from everyone
except Aiden. That's what I have to do, that is the right thing.

I wore some athletic clothes and I quietly went to the Palace's kitchen where all
the maids were. When Michelle saw me she looked confused, "Can you call Aiden for
me?" I ask her. I know it is not polite to ask her to bring me her mate who is not
with, but she is probably the only person who can help me. "Is something wrong?"
she asks me confused "I need to talk to him" I kind of explain to her and with a
nod she goes to search him. I take a seat on one of the chairs while I wait for the
Prince.

Aiden comes into view with Michelle trailing behind him. "Samantha? What is wrong?"
he asks concerned, "You need to help me" I say and he nods. "How may I help you?"
he asks, "Not here" I whisper and with a goodbye at Michelle we leave for the
forest.

In the middle of the forest there is a bright clearing. The moon light runs through
the flower and dives into the little lake near by. "I need your help" I say to
Aiden. He stands a few feet away from me waiting for me to say what I need to say.

And I did. I told him that I needed his help, that he was right I am not safe for
other people. I told him that I need to control my fire, in order for me not to
hurt anyone.

He simply stood there, arms crosses, looking at me as I was finishing my speech. My

pleading speech. When I was done he waited some seconds, clearly considering what I
just told him. He didn't look surprised. He looked like he knew that sooner or
later I would ask for his help, which I did.

"I knew you would come to me Sam. Your power is not an easy one to handle, I
understand that and people around you think that you are able to get through
anything. And you are, but you need help and I can help you and guide you. You need
to stay away from people for a little while. It's for the best, I hope you
understand" I nodded my head, I already knew these stuff. "I will stay away from
Cole too" I whisper. He eyes me for a second before he nods "That is a right
decision. We wouldn't want your mate and my brother to get hurt" he said.

The way he said the last part was weird. I detected another emotion in his tone, an
emotion I couldn't quite place in my mind. "We start now" he said suddenly.

**Some hours later**

Aiden is surely not an easy power-trainer. After some hours of training I feel like
a train just run through me. He made me 'find my power' as he put it, by sitting on
the ground, crossed legs with closed eyes searching for the fire inside. At first I
thought he was making fun of me and for a couple of minutes we made fun of each
other, but then I found it.

Aiden described the 'finding place' as a place we all hide deep in our souls. The
Special at least have, normal werewolves don't. He explained it as a get away place
and also the 'home' of each Special's power.

He described his as a lake, a big lake with fishes and flowers around. I made fun
of him because it did sound kind of cheesy, but he whispered something that it made
me instantly shut up. "Michelle's dream place is that lake" he said and after a few
minutes he continued, "She might think that I don't know, but I heard her say that
she wants one day to find that exact place where she is all the time her dreams" he
finished. Now I understood.

My 'finding place" is at the edge of a rock. I think it's a mountain, a huge

mountain and I am at the top and I can clearly see the sunset. I can almost touch
and taste the sky.

After I did that, Aiden said I must focus on what appeals me from that place. For
his it was the lake, for me it is the sky and the beautiful colors it has on it.
While I was 'there' watching the colors of the sky the red color became brighter
and brighter like a fire. That was where my fire came from.

My power-trainer said that something must be wrong with my place. That something is
upsetting the piece and quiet of that place. "What do you mean?" I asked him, "In
my place there is nothing wrong. Whenever I am there I am either alone, or with
Michelle" he whispered the last part. "There is no danger there, no chaos, nothing
that could disturb me. Search for the cause of the upset that crawls in your place"
he ordered.

I looked around that place. The fire danced above my head, but I had to pay no mind
at the sky and just focus on looking around and suddenly I could see them. Dark
people were hiding in the forest. I was sitting at the top of the mountain and the
forest was lying on my feet. The dark people I mentioned were hiding behind the
trees, but I could see them. They were all looking at me, red eyes shining bright
never taking their gaze off of me. I was so busy looking at the sky, that I didn't
notice them before.
Now, I could take a good look at them. I couldn't make up their faces, but I could
see that they were many people men and women. I wanted to talk to them, to ask them
why were they at my 'finding place'. "People" I whispered at Aiden without opening
my eyes.

"What kind of people?" he asked me, I wanted to make a smart remark, but I decided
against it. "Just people, I can't see clearly their faces. They are looking at me"
I said. "Can you talk to them?" Aiden asks me while I was trying to form words in
order for me to speak to them. "I can't" I said, and I kept my eyes locked into
them while they were leaving me standing on the top of that unknown mountain. "They
are leaving" I said to Aiden, "Let them, its time for you to focus on the fire" he
said and obeyed.

I was too upset to focus on my fire. I tried times and times again, but I was
interrupted around a thousand times from Cole's, Miranda's and lastly Jake's mind
link. The three of them were trying to talk to me, but I kept keeping them out of
my mind. Aiden noticed that and said "You should probably mind link Cole just to
inform him that you are okay. You do know that he can force himself in your mind"
he says and as a result my eyes open up wide. "It's true" he says.

I left a small message to Cole through our mind link I'm alright. Stop bothering
me, I'm safe. "Done" I said, but Aiden didn't want me to try anymore. "We're done
for today. Tomorrow when the sun rise I want you to be right here and we will
continue. Now go home and get some sleep" he ordered.

I goodnight him and went to my room, which it was quite hard. I had to tiptoed all
the way to my room and be extra quiet when I passed over Miranda's. When I got into
my room Cole's scent was lingering all over. I opened the lights only to see Cole
lying on my bed. He was pretending to be asleep. "What are you doing here Cole?
Don't you have King things to handle?" I ask, he turns and sits up. "Where were
you?" he asks me, his gaze burning into mine. "I was out. Relaxing" I replied, he
stayed silent at first before he gets up and takes some steps towards me. "Don't" I
said. He looks at me hurt evident on his face. "I am not safe to be around to" I
explain, "Sam, you are fine. You are just a little stronger" he said, "No" I said
stubbornly, "I am dangerous. I hurt people. Who can guarantee me that I won't hurt
someone else? Someone I care about. Get away from me Cole" I finish. "No, you are
my mate I am not leaving you" he says. "I need to be alone" I insist.

He looks hurt and betrayed, "Why can't you trust me?" he asks me, I shake my head
"I am not ready yet. Please, just let me be" I beg.

He nods and takes more steps towards the door, where I am standing, I move away as
he comes even closer. Suddenly he kisses me on the lips and gets out of the room.

This had to be done, I say to myself. I am going to handle it, I say again. I am
going to handle my fire!!!

Chapter 18

The next few days were really hard.

Aiden kept pushing me to do better and truly I wanted to, but it was too hard. I
was starting to get even more tired. My body and wolf were complaining, but my mind
wasn't.

The sooner I get a hand of this, I thought, the sooner I will be able to around the
people I like.

"Come on Sam. I want to see what you worth" he whispered the last part, which was
weird, but I choose not to say a thing. He used to do it often lately, every time
he was pushing me to go further and then he was just whispering weird things about
what I worth and how strong and capable I am.

I shake my head, convincing my body to go faster. Do better, but my wolf chose that
moment to take charge. Stop doing that. We are tired; we've been working out all
day we need some time off. She tried to convince me, which resulted in me trying to
block her out, but she just wouldn't go away. Sam, I am begging you. Aiden has
being going crazy. We are doing the same things every day, we are good enough. We
can stop. I said nothing to her and kept trying to ignore her. FINE! She said and
suddenly I felt like a whole bus was being thrown to my shoulders.

I was currently running in circles creating little fire tornadoes and then put them
out, but the pain I felt on my shoulders caused me to stop. "Why did you stop?" I
hear Aiden ask me, but his voice is faint. I can't listen to him clearly and he is
not that far away from me. I place my palms on my knees just so I can take breath,
because I honestly feel like I've run a marathon. "I- I can't - It's..so- hard" I
say. Aiden looks at me impassive like nothing happened and like I am not ready to
die just yet.

"Don't be like this Sam. We've come so far" he said, "I just need some time to
relax. My body is not-" I put a great effort to talk and its still hard so I just
choose to stay quiet and let him understand what is going on with me.

I felt him long before I see him. Cole came out of no where with a couple of guards
behind him, and stayed put on his spot staring at me. I knew he was looking but I
kept my head down. I heard his voice just like I had heard Aiden's, long and
distant.

What have you done? I asked my wolf, I am letting you feel all of it. I've been
holding most of it off of you, but its time for you to feel exactly what we feel.
She explained, truth be told I knew that I was tiring myself and my wolf out.

"What is going on here, brother" I hear Cole say to Aiden, "I am training your
mate, my King" Aiden said. Everyone around stiffened as did I when he mentioned me
as Cole's mate. Not many people knew that little detail, they just assumed that
because I am a Special I am treated better than others. The guards seemed like they
didn't know what to do, how to react and Cole was just standing there looking at
his brother confused. Even I didn't know what to do. I was going to talk when I
felt some liquid running from my nose and I realized it was blood. "Sam?" I heard
Cole ask "Cole?" I said as darkness took over.
Voices. That was the first thing that my mind allowed me to notice. Not many, not
few, but one. One specific voice was screaming, yelling orders at others. Cole's
voice was filled with anger and worry. He was telling everyone to back off, to stay
away from me and let me breathe. The last thing I heard before loosing my
consciousness was a soldier calling Cole and telling him.... "MY KING. WE ARE
UNDER ATTACK"

Cole's POV

Seeing blood on Samantha was the worst thing that could happen. Second worst i
guess, but still one of the bad things that I refuse to relive. I am still shocked
over the fact that my brother, Aiden revealed my mates and I's relationship. It was
supposed to be a sacred secret since we are currently hunted. The less people they
know, the better.

As soon as my name left from Samantha's lips she fainted which caused everyone to
freeze and me to run to her. Immediately I took her into the Palace doctor's wing.
There she was examined and according to the doctor she was too tired. I was a
little confused over the fact that because she was tired, blood run out of her. The
doctor said that her wolf and her human weren't strong enough to hold her up and
that's why "they shut her body down", which resulted on Sam being on a mini coma
until she feels more...energized.

After I talked with the doctor and we took Sam to a hospital bed at the doctor's
wing , I realized that the soldiers that were with me at the meadow had followed
me. At that time I lost some of my focus and I snapped at them. I started giving
them errands and yelled at them at the same time. I don't know what got me, but I
didn't dwell on it much since by the time I was yelling another guard came bursting
through Sam's room where me and my soldiers were and he screamed to me "MY KING. WE
ARE UNDER ATTACK"

I knew then who our enemy was. I knew that they had finally made their move. They
are here, I thought.

The Black Mooners decided to pay us a visit....

familiar with writing a scene like that so it will probably take some days, but I

Chapter 19

Cole's POV
After I made sure they were several guards out of Samanatha's room, I run out of
the hospital with some of my well trained soldiers. I had to know what exactly was
going on, so I could be able to fight it off. I met with my army leaders in my
office, they were all waiting for me looking worried. "What is going on?" I asked
them as soon as I was into the office. "Sir, they are coming. One of our citizens
saw the army only miles away from us. They are coming and they are moving fast" one
of them said. "How many men do they have?" I asked, "We are not sure, enough to be
a threat to us , sir" another replied.

I wasn't afraid, but I was worried. I had to think fast and effectively, "How many
soldiers do we have?" I asked, "A thousand and more, sir. Also all boys over 18 are
willing to fight with us" one of my leaders said. My head snapped at him "You
talked about this with others" I almost growled, the leader looked frightened and
cowered back a little "They came to us when someone let the word out that we are
under attack, sir. A group of them told us that they were all willing to fight and
they do know how to fight thanks to the fight class at school" he finished.

I shook my head trying to process all the information. "Look what are we going to
do" I started, "Take all the willing 18 year old and older that know how to fight
and put them in our army. I want every single soldier outside of the castle and at
the edge of our boarding line. We can do this" I finished.

"My King" a guard said while walking into my office, "They are not so many, they
are just wide open and they give the impression that they are numbered, but...sir,
their leader wants to talk to you" he finished.

All my men inside the office looked at me with expecting eyes. This was probably my
first action as a King and I needed to show the kingdom that I am capable of
providing them security like my father did. "Alright. I want five men around me
when I am going to talk to him" I ordered and immediately my two leaders, the guard
and two of the soldiers from Sam's room stepped forward.

The man in front of me seemed many years older than me. You could tell by the way
he was standing and the few gray hair that probably made their appearance just a
few years ago. He was standing in front of me, not talking, just looking at me from
head to tow. He looked like he was trying to memorize every single detail. "You
know, I assume, that not many have the courage to make an enemy move against their
King" I said, he nodded his head. "My name is Gerard" he said, " I came to warn you
and fight you" he said like nothing was wrong. "Why Gerard? You seem like a noble
man, why would you want to fight your King? The man who provides you security" I
said, he continued to look at me. After a moment he speaks "I wouldn't do anything
if someone else was in your place, but you my King are the prophecy and I need to
do what I was trained for" he said. "What prophecy do you speak of, Gerard?" I ask
him, "I find it impossible for you not to know, my King" he says referring to me
with a tone of disgust. "You and your mate are The Ones" he says, "We have to end
this, before it even begins" he continues. Now his look is like he is dreaming,
like he travelling away from our conversation.

"My King, we are sending some of the soldiers on your way. Somebody left a message
that the leaders is trying to play you" I hear the voice of Derek inside my head. I
send a brief approving message back and focus on Gerard, who is now looking at me
deep into my eyes. "Where is your mate, my King?" he asks and momentarily I am
scared for Sam, but quickly I remember she is sleeping safe and sound. "It is none
of your bussiness, Gerard" I answer. He shakes his head and thats when all started.

I don't know how, but I do know when. When he shook his head his soldiers were like
they were being activated. Like he pushed some button that turn them on, like they
were machines. At that exact moment my soldiers attacked too.
The fight kept going and going. Some were fighting in human form, others had
already transformed into their wolf and they had let their animal side take over.
Blood was spilling and some of the enemies even screamed when they were terribly
wounded.

Gerard and I just stood there.

We were exactly at the centre, not moving, not fighting. He was simply staring at
me as I stared back. "You think you are safe" he whispered low enough for me to
hear. "What do you mean?" I ask him, "But you are not" he continues, "You most
deffinetely aren't. When we are done here, go back to your mate and watch her die"
he said and he moved so fast that I didn't have the time to even think.

With him left and his soldiers. They just stopped fighting and they followed their
leader. As soon as they were gone, Aiden came by my side and I realized that he
wasn't near me any of the time. That was weird, but I had something more important
to think. "I have to go and check up on Sam" I told him and run towards the castle.

I burst into the hospital room where Sam was in, but what I saw made me fightened
and terrified at the same time.

Not exactly the battle scene you might have expected, but I didn't want it too
violent, so there it is. I am sorry for the cliff-hanger, but I had to so it would
give you something to wait for. The chapter might be a little short, but I didn't
want you to wait too much, because some writers do that and I personally don't like
it!!

Also, thanks to two of my besties I found a suitable person for Lady Svetlana and I
am still looking for Gerard (yay! the new person in the story!)...If you have any
suggestions let me know!!

Chapter 20

Cole's POV

Samantha was still laying on her hospital bed like nothing was happening she was
peacefully asleep, possibly regaining her strength, but everything around her was a
mess. Blood was everywhere, her once white sheets were now covered with splits of
blood, but it was not her blood.

My eyes scanned the room until I spotted a hand laying beside my mate's bed. I
never saw it coming, I never thought that she would get hurt.

Michelle's body was laying lifeless next to Sam's bed. Her blood had painted the
entire room. How can a so small body have so much blood?

I walked closer to her body and I mind-linked the palace doctor to come quickly I'm
Samantha s room.
But it wasn't the doctor who came in first. It was my brother.

Aiden froze when he saw Michelle's body laying down with blood everywhere and her
eyes open. The terror was mirrored in her eyes, I had the urge to close them, but I
felt my brother behind me as he leaned in to close her eyes.

Aiden looked lost and pained. I was too, but somehow his pain was different. It
wasn't like the loss of a person, a maid of all people. It was the loss of
something great and important. It was the loss of a mate.

I stared at my brother as silent tears were making their own way down his face.
"Was she your mate?" I finally found the strength to ask him. He didn't answer, he
didn't blink. He didn't look like he was with me.

The look on his face was like the one my mother had when he saw my father dead.
Suddenly, I had no doubt that she was his mate. So many questions came to mind, but
I ignored them and moved closer to Samantha's sleeping form. I gently took the
sheets off her while the doctor was making his way towards me with his eyes glued
to Aiden. I mind-linked him and asked him not to move Michelle's body until Aiden
wanted to do so and to go prepare another room for Samantha.

I left Aiden with his dead now mate and took mine to another room. Miranda came by
later on and took care of Sam as I made my way back to Aiden. I didn't find him
there, instead I only found the doctor and some guards helping him move the body.
"Where is Aiden?" I ask him, he shrugs and continues his business.

I sigh as I begin looking for him around the castle. Guards are standing at their
usual spots, bowing when I pass them. Maids run around with a sad face, obviously
because of Michelle's death. I was mourning too, to be true. Michelle was a really
good and kind girl and be killed like that was unfair.

I couldn't find Aiden anywhere in the castle, so I just decided to leave him be for
a while. Instead of making my way back to Sam, I decided to visit my mother at her
chambers. I waited until her gentle voice welcomed me in.

She was sitting at her small garden at her balcony while taking her tea. She smiled
kindly at me and ushered me forward. I took a sit next to her after I kissed her on
the cheek lightly. "Can you tell me why Michelle wasn't the one who brought my tea?
The maids didn't answer me" she asked me curiously. For a minute I was afraid and
nervous, my mother was fond of Michelle, how could I tell her that she was brutally
murdered,

"Mom. I am sorry, but she is dead" I say slowly. Her mouth opened up wide and a
single tear leaves her eyes, "How" she asks me. I shake my head unwilling to tell
her, "She was murdered wasn't she?" she asks again and I nod.

There is a moment of silence until she decides to breaks it. "So, how is Samantha?"
I sigh and reply "She, um, she is good. Sleeping actually" my mother looks at me
like she knows something I don't. "I know that Aiden pushed her to her limits,
dear. I don't agree with it, but she must be prepared for the Black Mooners" she
finishes.

When my mother mentioned the Black Mooners it was like I just remembered that I
wasn't the only one who knew about them. "I know mom" I simply say and stare ahead
trying to avoid the subject.

"I know you don't agree, I just think that she should be able to take of herself
and you need to focus on being the best King for your kingdom and your mate. She
needs you, but your people need you too. Its time to step up, son. It's time to be
better than even your father. Now go, I am sure Samantha is awake by now" she
smiles gently at me and take a sip of her tea.

I bow kindly at her and step out of her chambers heading to my office. I am just
not ready to wait for Samantha to wake up now. In my office Derek, my Beta, is
looking at some papers. "Hey" he says and smiles at me, "What's up man?" I ask him
and he shrugs. "Beta business" he simply states.

I spent two hours working with Derek.I knew that a kingdom full of werewolves was
not easy, but I was simply exhausted. "I am tired" I states and Derek chuckles, "My
King I couldn't agree more" he says.

"So, how are you and Miranda?" I ask curious about his relationship with my mates
best friend. "Good. Miranda is worried about Sam, you know. She explained to me why
Sam can't let herself trust you. Something about her aunt, I am sorry man. But you
have to give her time" he says as a good best friend. "Thank you Derek" I say and
close my eyes for a bit. A second later Derek says full of surprise, "She is awake"
, my eyes open up wide and I stare at him confusingly.

"Who?" I ask.

"Miranda says Sam is awake"....

Chapter 21

Samantha's POV

My wolf and I were arguing as usual. She was tired and that's why she had shut me
off, or something like that. I could hear faint voices, but only Cole's voice was
crystal clear. It's because he is our mate, my wolf replied immediately. You just
can't leave me alone, can you? , I ask her rather snappily. Somehow I feel her
rolling her eyes and I have a sudden urge to hit her, but how?

I try to open my eyes, but she still refuses to let me take control over my body.
We need more time, she says and I mentally sigh. She has been like this for a
while, she doesn't let me open my eyes or move. Blocking her out of my mind, I
focus on other sounds around me, making them stronger enough for me to hear.

"And you have to wake up, because some pretty scary and surprised things happened
recently and I need someone to talk to and I have no one. We have been best friends
since birth and you can't just sleep all day, you know?" I hear Miranda say kind of
like sobbing. I feel bad for her, because she is right. Ever since we because
friends we were always together and now, I stopped hanging out with her, but I was
doing it for her and she couldn't understand. "I know what Aiden and you did at the
forest all this time. I know that you think you are dangerous to all of us, but we
can make it work. I am your water, Sam. I am your same and opposite" she says like
she read my mind.

"Just open your eyes" she whispers.

I don't know how. I don't know why, but my eyes fluttered open willingly allowing
me to see my suroundings. "Sam?" I hear Miranda's sweet voice calling me and a
small smile plays on my lips. "Her bestie, I need some water" I say and she nods
and run to bring me.

I look around me and see that I am in a hospital room. I have an IV on my arm and I
am covered with beautifull white smooth sheets. "I called Derek and Cole" Miranda
informs me as she bring me a pitch and a glass. She pours some water in and helps
me take a sip.

At the same time Derek and Cole come into the room. Derek smiles at me kindly and
walks to stand next to Miranda taking her in his arms, while Cole stands there
looking at me. Relief is clear in his eyes as he stares deep into my eyes. With a
quick movements he takes a seat next to me on the hospital bed. "I missed you" he
murmurs to me with a bright smile as his hand cups my face, "I missed you too" I
say leaning into his touch.

He looked strange. Even though you could see the relief and happiness, there was
something that worried him. "Is there something wrong?" I asked hesitantly, they
all looked each other unsure. A long silence made everyone feel awkward. From the
corner of my eye I saw Miranda and without anyone realising I begun assesing her
posture.

Every time something was wrong I could tell, from the way she was standing. Her
posture betrayes saddness, grief.

Grief? Something was definetely wrong. "Cole tell me" I ushered my mate , he looked
at me for a moment and then whispered

"Michelle is dead."

The feeling that got to me was weird. I felt the urge to grief, but at the same
time to be proud of her death. My wolf was proud for Michelle for an unknown
reason, How can you feel like that when she is dead?, I asked her offended by the
way she was feeling. You can't understand yet. She simply said and blocked me out.

I turned my attention back to Cole. He was looking at me closely like I was going
to break into husterically crying or something like that, but he was wrong. I was
going to grief, but not with crying like a baby. "How?" I asked suddenly and
everyones head looked each other. They don't know, I thought right way. "We are
waiting for the doctors and some..friends of mine conclusion" Cole spoke like a
true King.

Miranda and Derek left an hour later, they were all tired, especially Derek.
Miranda was checking of him every single minute which made me suspicious. "What's
wrong with Derek?" I asked Cole after Miranda and Derek left and as Cole was
playing with my fingers. He looked away the minute I finished my sentence and I was
sure that he was hiding something.

"Cole, what are you hiding from me?" I asked him, he looked distant for a moment,
like he really didn't want to tell me. "They were here" he said to me, looking at
me deep into the eyes without breaking eye contact. "You mean-" , "The Black
Mooners Sam. They were here, looks like the war in on" he said and got up.

He was looking out of the hospital window while I was lost in thoughts. Scary
thoughts. I didn't know how to react, being scared was not something I wanted to
feel yet here I was feeling afraid. "They are not going to hurt you" Cole said
after a moment of pure silence, "I will keep you safe no matter what" he whispered
more to himself.

Being in this situation now made me look some things more closely. I was now able
to control my powers, thanks to Aiden. I wouldn't be a threat to anyone, but what
about Cole? I was always prepared for the rejection I would eventually give to my
mate. It was never an option, it was always a choice and now I was more confused
than ever. I loved Cole, that was for sure. But every time I wanted to let myself
get lost in the mating love, my aunts situation always hunted me.

It was like she didn't want me to be like her, and I didn't want to be like her.
But my mate isn't like hers. Cole loves me, Ι said to myself. I knew that for sure,
but the fear of loosing him over someone like Svetlana was strangely strong.

"Are you ever going to leave me" I whispered out of the blue, Cole's head spun
around and looked at me like I was crazy. "Why would I do that?" he asked and I
shrugged, then he made the question I never thought he would do "Is this about your
aunt?" he asked. At the moment I didn't care where he found out, I only cared about
his answer.

"Sam, I love you" he said, "I am completely in love with you and its not because
you are my mate, its because I love who you are" he said, my heart skipped a beat
as he said those things and then came closer and leaned in.

He kissed me like never before, his lips were soft and warm against mine. His hands
somehow got locked around me and brought me impossible closer to him. We soon run
out of breath, he must have realised that, because he directed his kisses to my
neck. I moaned loudly when he reached the spot where he would mark me, but then
someone knocked the door.

We both stopped even though I could see in Cole's eyes he definetely wanted to
continue. "Go answer the door" I pressured him, with a sigh he opened it. A young
guard was there looking at Cole in the eyes with terror or maybe worry. "Go to my
office" he said suddenly, he called for another two guards and told them "I want
Sam to be in my room. Take all of her stuff from her previous room and put them in
mine".

The guards nodded, he came kissed my forehead and left. He didn't even ask me, that
should make me mad, but it didn't. It made me happy and I just couldn't wait to see
that room again.

His room wasn't something that I hadn't seen before, and yet being here to stay as
his mate was so unfamiliar. Some things had clearly changed,but I couldn't place a
date in my head when he had done it.

The bed was neatly made and two of my childhood teddy bears were sitting there
watching me. Smiling while they brought me back unforgettable memories.

Two strong arms wrapped around my waist, and while the shivers run accross my
body , my mate brought me closer to him. "I love the fact that your eyes are open"
he murmured, I smiled and placed my hands over his. "I am sorry that I was so cold
towards you" I begun to say, "I understand baby" he said. I noticed his voice and
his whole posture was a little tense, but I didn't pay much attention to it as
there were so many things I wanted to say.

"The truth is that ever since my aunt died, I made a promise to myself not to be
with my mate. I didn't and still don't want to be like her. I know this is going to
make you mad, but for a while I was in love with Jake" I admitted, his hands turned
into fists, but I didn't stop. "Those feelings disappeared as soon as I laid on
you, but I beat myself up in order to stay away from you. I didn't make it of
course. In the end, I just couldn't stay away". I could feel him listening to me,
concetrating to my words.

"I always thought that I could rest on my power. Fire was one of the things I
thought I knew I could handle and when I lost control of it.... I was dangerous
Cole" I whispered the last lart. He kissed the side of my neck and buried himself
sniffing me.

"I am sorry I stayed away. I will not do that anymore", I said and turned to face
him. "I love you" he said loud and clear.

His voice was smooth,but still worried about something. "Cole what is going on?" I
asked him, he only said "Just love me" and we got lost into each other

I felt utterly happy. My head was spinning, in a good way and I couldn't stop
smiling. Cole was fast asleep next to me, obviously tired, but there was also
something weird about him. It was like he wasn't completely there the whole moment,
like something was bothering him and I knew I had to know what.

I got up and wore his shirt as I begun walking around in the room.I noticed that
there was a note on the back pocket of his jeans, that were laying there on the
floor.

Carefully I picked the note up. It was full with drops of blood. I smelled the
blood and my heart stopped. Michelle....

With shaky hands I opened the bloody note.

We were aiming for your mate, King, but the maid gave us an entertaining fight. You
know we are coming for you. For all of you. Enjoy the moments you have with your
special mate, because we might didn't kill her this time, but we will the next and
we want to see you dying deep inside from her loss...

The Black Mooners

I didn't know how to react. On the one hand, I wanted to mourn Michelle's death and
yell at myself for being the cause of this. On the other hand, I wanted to get
away. Give myself to them and end everything. Maybe if I gave them myself, they
would back off and no one had to die.

"Sam?" I heard Cole's voice summon me, I turned to face him. He eyed the note on my
hands and said "It's nothing".

I yelled, I screamed, I cried. Michelle was my first new friend since I came to
the palace, I felt it was my obligation to mourn her death and blame myself. "You
are not to blame" Cole said, wrapping his arms around me he tried to calm me down.

Miranda and Derek tried too, but nothing could make me feel better. It was all
because of me, as always. After a moment of crying Aiden came to mind. How was he
feeling? He just lost his mate.

"Aiden" I whispered, from the corner of my eye I saw Cole stiffen and look away.
"Cole? Where is he?" I asked, he looked down his knotted hands. He seemed sad,

"We don't know" he said.

"We don't know where my brother is"...

Chapter 22

I didn't really know what to do.

I was feeling sad and desperate, but I knew that I had to put those feelings aside
and focus on my mate. Cole didn't know where his brother was, and I was pretty much
convinced it was driving him insane. He loved his brother very much, I could see
it. He was currently sitting on the edge of the bed. Miranda and Derek were gone,
I don't know where, I think they told me, but I didn't pay attention. My mind was
focused only on Cole.

For once I didn't know what to do, how to help him. "Cole, talk to me" I begged him
while standing between his legs. He raised his head slowly, his hand cupped my
cheek. "I love you" he said simply. I smiled sweetly at him and placed my hand over
his which was cupping my cheek. "I know, I love you too" I replied and leaned over
to his hand. He smiled and leaned in to place a sweet gentle kiss over my lips, "I
want you to be safe" he said, mostly to himself. I kept smiling at him, "Cole. I
will be, I promise. You don't have to worry about me, let's focus on finding your
brother" I said. He shook his head, a tone of sadness appeared on his eyes and
voice "I have no idea where he is" he said, I sighed and decided to be a good mate,
so I stood up and took a hold on both of his hands.

"I will help you find him. Come on" I said and we made our way to his office. I
didn't exactly know how to help, I suggested sending some soldiers to look for him,
but Cole had already done it. We were now thinking and seeking all the places he
could have gone. Cole informed me a few minutes ago that the soldiers he had sent
to search for his brother were looking around the palace grounds. "I find it
impossible for him to be around here, he must have gone far" I thought out loud.
Cole shook his head, "Every time we had a huge problem and he needed time to think
he always hid around the palace grounds. I believe he has small sanctuaries around
here" he thought back.

I was thinking about Michelle and the horrible death that had found her, and as my
heart clenched the sky released his tears with a bang. I got up, startled, from my
seat on one of Cole's couches. He came next to me and placed me on his lap, hiding
his face in my hair sniffing me. The storm that startled the entire kingdom, no
doubt, couldn't be normal. Something unique was in the air, but I couldn't place
what. Suddenly a mourning howl of a wolf sounded in the air, Cole and I didn't
move, we already knew who it was. We already knew why the wolf was howling. A tear
left my right eye, but I wanted it to fall, it symbolized my sorrow for Michelle
and Aiden.

3 weeks later

Aiden was still missing and even though I knew Cole was depressed, he didn't let
his sadness be known. He soon returned to his professional ways, like a King
should. In a few days I would be announced Queen of the kingdom. I am afraid and
unsure, but I couldn't show it, I shouldn't actually. What kind of a Queen shows
her weakness. You are probably wondering how I can be announced as Queen, now that
threat stands upon our head. It's Derek and Cole's plan. They explained me that if
the people knew about me they would do anything to protect me, I was their head
Luna after all. Thousands of packs would fight by our side if they knew that their
Queen Luna is in danger.

A week ago we had Michelle's funeral. All the servants were there, actually the
entire kingdom, at least the people who knew her. It was devastating, teary faces
were everywhere and you could hear nothing but crying. A white rose, one of
Michelle's favorites traveled through the air and into the coffin. It was Aiden's;
we knew that because only a mate could make a rose or any other flower travel
through the wind for his mate.

Miranda and I were now sitting with Jack in the front garden. "I didn't know he was
her mate" Miranda said, we were talking about Michelle, determined not to forget
her. "I am sorry I didn't tell you" I told her, "Why wasn't he with her?" she
asked, "She was a servant" said Jack. "Let's change the subject" he offered and I
agreed. "You are about to become Queen" he said excitedly, Miranda squealed next to
me. I just shook my head, "I know" I said quite annoyed. They both eyed me up and
down. "Okay, let me talk to you. First, this is not the right time. Second, I know
nothing about how to act like a Queen and third.....didn't the two first cover
you?" I asked them and closed my eyes for a moment. "You just need your time"
Miranda said. I heard someone coming closer from behind us, I turned and squealed
loudly. My parents had arrived!

"Mom! Dad!" I said loud, making sure the entire kingdom heard me. "Hello dear" said
mom and took me into her arms, dad was next, "Hello, my little girl" he said and
kissed my forehead when he was done hugging me. "You are here!" I said, they both
nodded "You are to be the crowned Queen, my girl. Of course we'll be here!" he said
while taking a seat next to mine, pulling mom on his laps.

My parents were informed about my life's recent events over the phone. Though they
weren't happy about the way I told them about me being the Kings mate, they were
happy about me. I don't know if they are aware of the Black Mooners, Cole and I
decided to keep it for us for a while. I wanted to call the crowning ceremony off,
but Cole said that people must know me.
 "When are you starting your training?" Mom asked looking interested, I shrugged,
Cole told me that him mother was going to train me.

I didn't know how to feel about it, the former Queen was going to train me to take
her part when I was the reason her mate was dead. Well, part of the reason. Out of
no where the Queen came out, she rarely got out of her rooms now that she her King
was dead. "Samantha" she summoned me, everyone bowed at her while I run to her. "It
is time for your training, follow me" she said and started walking.

I followed her inside the palace and into the grand living room, "Take a seat" she
told me and showed me a seat next to the head chair. Pair of forks, spoons, and
glasses was laid in front of me.

"Let's begin!"

Chapter 23

Samantha's POV

For the next few days all I did was training.

This time though it wasn't the usual fight training. Cole's mother, the former
Queen, was training me in order to be ready when I will officially take her place.
The training consisted stuff like, posture, fashion choices, behaviour. I thought
that being Queen was an easy going position, but turns out being Queen was many
more.
In one of my conversations with the Queen, she told me how important being the
Queen Luna is. I was supposed to help Cole with his decisions, point his right and
wrongs and be by his side. I had to make sure everything in Palace was in the right
order and that everyone's happy. "Trust me, it is not an easy job" I remember her
telling me.

I was currently snuggled close to Cole.

It was almost midnight. After our passionate love making, we started talking about
my coronation, but now we had fallen into a comfortable silence. Cole's chest was
going up and down because of his breathing, but it didn't annoy me. I was
concentrating on him. After Aiden had gone missing he had been on full Alpha King
mode, I can't say I hated it, but I didn't love it either. I wanted the carefree
Cole; I knew that because of his position that was not easy, but once in a while I
would like to see my mate like he was before he became King.

"What if I am not a good Queen?" I asked him suddenly alarmed, "What? You will be
an amazing Queen" he told me trying hard to convince me. "Cole, can't we cancel
it?" I steadied myself on my able in order to have a better look at him. He shook
his head with determination crystal clear in his lovely eyes. "Sam, you need
protection" he said, "You do too, Cole listen to me. What's the rush, I really
don't get it?" I tried to change his mind for a hundred times.

He let out a deep sigh. "Let's go over this again. Sam, I honestly believe that it
is better if our people saw you as their Queen and my mate. It's about time" he
said once more. "What about the Black Mooners?" I asked him quickly, I knew I had
him there, but apparently he didn't let it come to him. He just replied me as
always "The people will see the threat and will protect you".

I hated the fact that he was also right.

If the people, the packs, knew that I and Cole are in danger, they would all quite
everything and come to our rescue. The thing is we didn't know if all those packs
would be enough to stop and eliminate the threat. For what we knew The Black
Mooners could be more than us, that was quite impossible, but my mind didn't take a
rest to think logically.

"Stop worrying. The only thing you have to think about is your position. You are
going to be Queen, my love. And from what I hear you are quite good at it" he said
rather proudly. I blushed and hid my face at the crook of his neck. It made him
moan, the conversation didn't go any further.

The next day I was taking my breakfast with the former Queen. Cole had some
business to attend to, but he promised to come and find me as soon as he could.
"Where is Cole this morning?" she asked me with a special sad smile. The kind of
smile that she could give to anyone who talked to her, the loss of her mate was
still great and nothing could make her feel better. "He had some business, he will
be here shortly" I replied as a Queen should, she nodded, "That's nice. You must
remember always dear, never let your man too far away" she said a winked, something
bazaar for her. "Umm-", I was at loss of words, the Queen just gave me a love
advice? "Oh, don't look at me like that. I have been mated and a Queen for a long
time, I know a few things. Since you are going to take my place, I know how things
are, so I thought about helping you" she said, "Helping me with what?" I asked her,
"With Cole. Being a Queen requires time and moments away from your mate, though
they are times when you and him could be alone" she said giving me hope. "Is it
possible?" I asked her, she nodded. "Everything is possible for us, my dear. You
can easily be a responsible Queen and a loving mate" she said.

"Well, you look at that" a bitchy voice said interrupting our talk. Lady Svetlana
was standing leaning on the door casually with an evil glint in her eyes. I hadn't
seen her since her accident that I caused. She was wearing short tight dress; from
where I was I didn't see any burn marks so she must be all healed up. "Svetlana,
glad to see that you are up" I greet her, she narrows her eyes and spats "Lady
Svetlana for you, bitch. Show me some respect", the Queen raises one eyebrow "Now,
that is no way of treating your soon-to-be Queen" she admonishes her.

The look on Svetlana's face turns into a full of disgust one. Like the idea of me
becoming Queen is repulsive, which it should be for her. Then she started screaming
words not so kind at me, I was sure anyone could hear her. She called me names and
screamed hysterically that I was not fit to become Queen and that I was taking her
rightful place.

She continue screaming for the rest ten minutes, her face was almost red. I took a
glance at the Queen and saw her eyes looking somewhere behind Svetlana. Like she
was waiting for something or someone to show up.

Suddenly two guards burst into the breakfast room and grabbed both arms of
Svetlana. "Lady Svetlana your manners have officially extinct. I informed your
family you are going to lose your title. You and your family get out of my palace
and don't you dare talk to my mate like that ever again!!!" screamed Cole. The
guards took Svetlana out of the room, to where I didn't know.

Cole's face was full of anger. He looked like he was about to transform. I didn't
want him to lose control and one way to calm your mate down is by touching him. A
simple touch is enough. For me, though, it wasn't enough and I needed a hug. When I
hugged him, his arms instantly wrapped around me and brought me impossible closer
to him.

"Relax, please" I whispered, "Are you alright?" he asked me. I gave him a gentle
smile and nodded. "Join us, Cole" the Queen said like nothing happened. Cole smiled
to his mother and with our hands holding each other we sat down. We started talking
about the kingdom and our obligations to our people. Throughout the conversation I
noticed the passion Cole and his mother shared about the kingdom, it made me proud
of them!

"So, are you ready for the coronation tomorrow Samantha?" the Queen asked me, I
nodded with my head and took a sip of my tea. I could sense Cole's eyes on me, but
I didn't pay any attention to him, I knew he could see the anxiety on my face. "It
will be a marvellous ceremony" she said dreamily, thinking about hers no doubt. "Do
you really think it's the right time? Cole and I have a slight disagreement on that
subject" I said without taking my eyes off her face.

A rational idea came to mind.

What if the Queen agreed with me? How could Cole, go against him mother? I was
hoping, she too will agree with me, then maybe the coronation would be cancelled
and we were all safe again. "Well, yes I do actually" and that's where my hopes
were up! "Really?" I asked her and she gave me a genuine smile, "I understand your
worry. It's absolutely reasonable to be worried about everyone's safety. It's what
makes a great Luna, but you must also understand that you being the leader Luna,
you must be safe. The people know nothing about you, they should. And why is that?
It's because you have the threat hanging over you, with the people aware of that
you will be protected at all times. Even when you are walking around the simple
citizens will look after you" she explained with her own gentle way.

I took a look at Cole; he was looking at me with an awarding smirk on his face. It
was like he was telling me he "won the match". "Why don't the two of you go for a
walk?" she suggested and we didn't lose the opportunity for some alone time.

After we bid the Queen farewell we took a walk in one of the colourful gardens.
Cole was holding my hand tight while we were walking around the wonderful garden,
"Are you ready for tomorrow?" he asked me after a moment of silence, "Let's not
talk about this again. I want to talk about something else" I told him. I could
feel his confusion running out of him, "About what?" he asked curiously, "Aiden,
the Black Mooners, we're having trouble, Cole" I said. He stopped dead in his
tracks and turned to look at me, he brought me closer to him while he talked. "I
have no news from Aiden. Yes, I believe he is alive, but I have no idea where he
is. He is mourning, and about the Black Mooners I am prepared" he said. I raised my
head to face him, his face held a different expression than what I've even seen. It
was the look of determination mixed with anger and many other negative emotions.
"What do you mean?" I asked him unable to hold myself. "I am well prepared. I am
training new fighters, I have increased security. I told you there is nothing to be
worried about." He said.

After our walk we both had business to attend to. Cole had his fighters and I had
to "check" the preparations for tomorrow's ceremony. I found the Queen, my mother
and Miranda at the grand ball room. They were looking around the room while talking
and pointing out things. Workers were scattered around the room preparing and
decorating.

"There you are, Samantha. Tell us what do you think" the Queen said with her usual
sad smile, I looked around and nodded my approval. While Miranda and the Queen
started talking about the dress I was supposed to wear, my mother came to me with
tearful eyes. "I am so proud of you" she said while burying me into her arms. I
hugged her back, feeling the motherly love running through me. "I love you, mama" I
said as I wiped her tears away. "You are growing up, moving our, becoming Queen"
she murmured. "I know" was the only thing I said, she chuckled "Don't be that
excited" she said sarcastically. "I am worried-", I begun but she cut me out. "No,
nothing like that. Just enjoy sweetheart" she said and we both joined the Queen and
Miranda.

Lady Svetlana's POV

That nasty girl was taking my place.

She was going to sit on the throne that so rightfully belongs to me, along with my
man. I hate her. She was nothing, but a low life.

I wasn't planning to go away. No, that would be too easy for all of them. I wanted
revenge and I would have my revenge.

It was hard to kill the man who were "accompanied" me to my home. I threw their
bodies away and started planning my revenge as I was making my way back to the
kingdom. It was miles away, but I didn't care.

My mind was enjoying the mental images of all the ungrateful to me people over my
feet. I was going to make them all pay.

The sun was shining through the leaves giving me enough light to see where to I was
walking.

Suddenly I heard something behind a tree. Someone was following me; I turn to see
the person I was so not expecting.

"Prince Aiden" his name left my lips softly, behind him another man came forward my
wolf started screaming one and only word.

MATE.

Chapter 24

Samantha's POV

The dress I was wearing was absolutely gorgeous.

Pure perfection dressed my body. The blue dress with the x on my neck and the small
hole between my breasts showed off my feminine figure. I stood there staring my
reflection in the mirror. My make up and hair was made by a professional and the
dress was made by a special person. Cole had seen the dress before and he knew the
one that made this was, but he said that I was going to meet the maker later.

A loud knock startled me, "Come in!" I said and turned to the door. The Queen, my
mother, Miranda and my father were standing the looking at me with admire in their
eyes. "Sweetheart, you look amazing!" my mother said. She made a move to hug me,
but she stepped away, so she didn't destroy my hair or dress. "You do look
stunning" the Queen said with a bow. Miranda said the same thing, but my father had
a different look on his face.

He looked sad, like he truly didn't want something like this to happen. "Father?" I
summoned, "You are growing up" was the only thing he said. As usual, my mother
started bubbling about me while my father happily added memories to her talk.

I was just standing there, blushing at times, though, my brain was still traveling.
The anxiety and the un-easing feeling I was feeling didn't help me. Something was
going to happen; I knew it because my inner fire was jumping up and down if that is
even possible.

"Are you okay?" Miranda asked me as she took my elbow and made me walk some steps
away from the talk my parents and the Queen were currently having. "Can you feel
that?" I asked her, Miranda has the water and have the power, ever since we became
friends and understood our powers we could sense if something was wrong. "Yes, I
can. I don't know how to describe it" she said truthfully.
"Everything alright, girls?" the Queen asked, we both nodded and then another knock
sounded. A guard came in informing us we should take our places and I should get
down in one minute. Miranda stayed for exactly 3 more seconds to make sure I was
ready and then she went to find Derek. The same guard showed me into another room
and instructed me to wait. Suddenly the music started playing. I felt like I was
getting married, but it was far from it. I was about to become Queen. "We are ready
to go" the guard said and showed me to a double door. I recognized that door of the
ball room. The two doors opened slowly and everybody's attention turned to me. It
felt weird, having all those eyes turned to me, admiration was clear to some. I
walked down the aisle; each step I took pulled me closer to Cole. Who was standing
in the centre of a large stage. Four guards were places on each corner of the
stage, for protection, while the others were scattered around the room. All of them
standing like a statues with their eyes on me.

Finally after so many torturous I reached the stage. Cole offered me his hand, with
one hand I was holding onto him and with the other I slightly lifted my blue dress.

From the stage you could see everyone. The great ball room was filled with people,
people who were here to meet their new Queen. Me! "Ladies and gentleman, we are all
gathered here today for a very important reason. I Prince Cole of the entire
werewolf world have found my beloved mate. Ms Samantha Anderson, one of the great
Specials that came to our kingdom." he announced with clear and proud sounding
voice. The room fell silent for a moment before everybody started clapping and
cheering. "Today, after the presentation of my mate and your Queen, your former
female leader will coronate the next generation". That is when Queen Elizabeth
walked on the stage with a beautiful white dress and her royal crown standing at
the top of her head.

They made me kneel in front of the Queen, with a quick yet elegant movement she
took off her beautifully decorated with marvelous diamonds crown and placed it on
my head. Then she said "Rise, Queen Samantha of the entire werewolf world, mate of
King Cole", and so I rised and people started cheering once again.

I stood next to Cole for an hour as people came congratulated us. I caught a few
evil and envious stares and glares from some unmated females, but nothing could
bring me down. I was their Queen and Cole was my king. It felt unreal, yet so real.
After a couple of hours I left Cole and went to look for Miranda. She was talking
to Jake while he looked obviously not paying attention to her words. "Hey, guys" I
said, he looked at me and left without a word. Miranda shot me a smile and
congratulated me, "How does it feel?" she asked me. I replied her with the same
reply I had given all the other guests that asked me "Unreal".

Miranda and I started bubbling about a random thing that came to our mind; we were
startled when hell broke free.
People started screaming, running, trying to get out of the room. I looked around
trying to figure out what was going on. Chaos! Men with black outfits came out of
nowhere and started beating people, killing them. "SAMANTHA" I heard Coles voice
through my head and ears. I saw him running to me along with Derek who was running
for Miranda. Enemies got into both their ways, but they had no good luck. "Ladies"
a voice called me and Miranda from behind, we both turned to see Aiden in one of
the black outfits standing there.

His eyes were plain dark and his voice was pretty rough. "Aiden" I said, he looked
at me, his dark eyes held so much hatred. "I would say it's nice to see you again,
but I would be lying" he said, his voice as cold as ice. "You are with them?" Cole
growled at his brother. I was flushed against his front his hands were on either
side of my waist and were formed into fists. "Surprised, brother?" he asked him
with an awarding smirk to his face, "You betrayed us" Cole said, Aiden looked at
him and smiled evilly. "You were the one who betrayed us. You let my mate die to
protect your own. She is the reason my Michelle is gone. She is the reason the
world is like this. She is a freak. The Moon Goddess made a mistake and we are
going to make it right" he explained, "They have brain washed you" Cole concluded.

"Maybe. Maybe not. C'mon brother, if it weren't the Black Mooners, it would have
been an army or Rogues. Either way the kingdom would be destroyed" he said calmly.
"You are willing to kill your people?" Derek asked him, "My people? I am killing my
family. Like you killed mine, when dad forbid me to be with my mate, when my mate
died because of Cole's mate. You made me like this, this is your entire entire
fault" he said.

Aiden's POV

The four of them stood there staring at me with astonishment. I didn't care though,
I did what my heart and mind told me to. Cole had everything, I had never been
jealous of him, I supported him. But everything were destroyed the minute he got
what I craved the most. A mate.

My father was the one who destroyed my life since I was young. Cole was the best, I
didn't care about that, but when Cole was free to run around with his mate and I
wasn't aloud even to look at her that was it! He had to feel the pain I felt. He
had to have his heart bleed until he could take no more. Like me, like I did all
those days.

I had enough of their questions and their pitiful looks. I was in no place for
pity. I had the upper hand now. "Now, let's get down to business" I said to them,
"What do you want from us?" Miranda asked, Derek wrapped his arms around her,
showing me that he was there and he was ready to protect his mate if he had to.

"It's not difficult my dear Miranda, I want what any man in my place would.
Revenge. From the Specials for always been treated differently, from the King who
because of his mate mine is dead. I want to see you all suffering, the Black
Mooners were right. Samantha should not even exist", I said explaining them the
reasons behind my actions.

My dear brother looked dumbfounded. I gave him some time, so my words could really
sink into his brain and then... I let my magic run through everyone. With one
single image in my head a thousand of black shadows appeared, helping the Black
Mooners who apparently weren't that strong or ready to face the kingdom's soldiers.

"STOP THIS INSANITY" Cole screamed while pushing Samantha behind him and taking a
defensive position. His words had no power to me, I was basically an outsider now.
I didn't follow his orders, his annoying commands. "Insanity? That's what you see
it? No, my brother. This is not insanity, this is old fashion revenge." Those were
my last words.

Because then I disappeared and let all the others do their part.

Svetlana's POV

I had seen him before and yet I felt nothing.

Now, I was locked up into his room while he was out there fighting and taking the
revenge I craved so much.

Jake. Samantha's friend, her Alpha, the person I had seen so many times before and
never saw his eyes. Never felt his wolf.

Suddenly the door opened and Jake came in, he was wearing his tuxedo and let me
tell you he looked sexy as hell. "How are you?" he asked me, I threw him a glare,
he knew I wanted to be there. But according to him, I couldn't, not just yet.

"Baby, you know you can't be there. Not yet at least. We are really close,
everything has started, and the ceremony has ended" he said.

"What are we waiting for now?" I asked him impatiently. He came and sat on the bed
I was laying, he took me onto his lap and started talking.

"Prince Aiden to give us the ok sign" he explained, "And then?" I asked again.
"And then, our soldiers get in and take the prisoners." He said normally.

Jake was talking so calmly, like he had everything under control, but I wasn't so
sure. Cole would never let his kingdom fall and especially at his mates coronation
day.

I didn't bother telling Jake. What I wanted to know is why he was with the Black
Mooners, what had the kingdom done to him that he wanted revenge and made an
alliance with a pack that wanted the royal family and especially the new Queen
dead.

Is it something about him? Or is it something about Samantha?

Samantha's POV

When Aiden disappeared I took a moment and looked around me.

Wolves were lying on the floor, obviously dead and others were still fighting. I
couldn't believe what was going on, Aiden was now a traitor and I was his target.

"Let's go" I heard Cole say and immediately me and Miranda were pushed through
people. Derek and Cole were by our side, making sure no harm gets to us. I was
scared, but I also knew that I had my fire and I could easily take anybody down.

"Argh!" I heard someone screaming from beside me and I saw Cole killing a dog. His
chest was bleeding, but the look in his eyes made it clear for anyone, that he
wanted me safe more. "Cole, are you okay?" I said, my voice cracking at the end. He
didn't reply, he ushered me out of the ball room and into another room three floors
up.

Black Mooners were trying to attack us, but soldiers immediately surrounded us,
making it impossible for them to come forward. When we got into the room I run to
the bathroom and found the first aid kit. With that I tried to take care Cole's
wound as he was talking with Derek about the attack, trying to figure out what to
do.

"We have to get out of here" Derek said urgently, but Cole was hearing nothing.
"NO! We are going no where. Apart from the girls, we have to get them to safety
first" he said with a roaring voice. I raised my head and looked up at him,

"If you think for a moment I am going to leave you, you think again. I am the
Queen now, I am not leaving someone behind. If you want to fight, I'll fight with
you".

The determination in my voice was clear. Loud and clear for the three of them to
hear. My wolf was on edge, we had to help the people out there, make a plan and
then struck.

"The Luna is right. I have contacted the entire kingdom, at least those who live in
the borders, they all took some wolves out and they are hiding at the royal
shelters." He informed us, "And our parents?" I asked him, he nodded and said.

"Your parents and Queen Elizabeth are with the servants in one of the shelters,
they are safe".

I looked at Cole and noticed he was looking at me with proud in his eyes. "Now
what, my king?" I asked him,

"It's time we take them down" he said.

I don't know how, but within an hour we too, had found our way in one of the
shelters. We could hear the Black Mooners on the ground above us. Tearing people
and things apart, the sound was painful, I wish I could close my eyes and ears and
everything to be okay.

Many soldiers were at the shelter. It was kind of weird, someone could actually
think that they hadn't even fight.

The shelter was as big as a house. At least seventy people were down here. Man,
woman and kids. Like a good Queen I made sure all the injured were healed and all
the woman and the kids were feeling better, as the men were planning our attack.

Some of the woman actually wanted to help, and they pretty good with weapons.

My parents along with the Queen were also there, they helped me attending to
everyone and then they hugged the life out of me.
"Are you sure you are alright?" my mother asked me, "Yes, I am just fine" I told
her. Naturally I said the same thing to my father and Elizabeth too.

After all the hugging parts I went and stood next to Cole as he was explaining to
the men and soldiers the plan.

First, we had to get out of here. Since Aiden was with them they most likely knew
our all our hiding places. We had to separate and each of the two teams to get out
of the kingdom's borders. Then we would go into one of the safe houses the royal
family owned and from then everything were pretty easy.

It wasn't hard choosing the two teams.

Everyone knew the plan and the fact that some of the Specials were with us helped a
lot. Miranda and I had to be separated since we both had powers and important ones
we could help the two teams. Cole was with me of course and so were my parents and
Elizabeth, who according to Cole was now an Elder, something I will explain later.

The shelter had two get-a-ways, so each team got out from each one.

It was night, probably midnight from the place the moon was. I could see and smell
the Black Mooners, they had taken over the entire royal werewolf town.

We all followed Cole's lead.

We had to be careful and soundless. Clarissa one of the Specials somehow masked our
scents. That way, we were soundless and scentless, we practically didn't exist. Of
course we were still visible, so that was something we had to be careful about.

Cole was holding my hand tightly as we were moving slow and steady closer to the
forest. We were about to take last few steps, but we heard someone shouting
"THERE!" and with that said we run to the way of freedom.

"RUN" Cole screamed to all of us.

The people behind us started transforming into wolves and running further into the
woods, following their King's order. Cole transformed into his magnificent wolf
next to me and suddenly I was on top of his wolf running away like anyone else.

You know I could just transform into my wolf too, I informed him through our mind
link.
Yes, but its better this way. After all I am faster and I rather like this
position, he said.

I let out a small laugh while my hand dived into his soft fur.

I heard him groan while my hand gave him shivers obviously pleasured ones.

Around me I noticed more wolves.

The two teams were now into one and they were running together.

The Black Mooners were right behind us. I was worried, they were coming closer and
closer.

Cole, what are we going to do? I asked him, my voice betraying my worry.

I can't believe I say this, but use your fire.

With that being said I did what Cole asked me to. I used my fire.

I turned my head around, spotted the evil creatures my eyes immediately turned red
and a red flaming wall came up. The wolves had no time to stop, they stepped into
the wall and that's how their lives ended.

Before I know it we had reached the safe house.

One thought traveled through my mind,

THIS IS WAR!!!

Chapter 25

Samantha's POV

The safe house had nothing to do with the palace.

It was so small, yet elegant. It had something comfy about it, it looked so much
like home.

When we got in we all were surprised to learn that the Queen herself had built and
decorated that home.

"It's something like a different family home. I spent many years here" Cole
admitted to me.

What I was surprised to find out later was that, even though it was kind of small,
it still had many secret passages and places for guns and other weapons. Cole and
the rest of his new found warriors were at his father's safe house office where
they were going to make up a plan and see if those weapons his father holds are
enough.

I on the other hand, was helping the women of the house. We had to clean it up a
little, make it a little less dusty. We didn't know if we were going to stay here
for long. The men had to make the plans and we were just going to follow. Well, not
me. I had to know, I am the Queen after all.
We were currently finishing the food.

Apparently, the Queen had some servants bring food here once a week. "I always knew
that this house was going to be useful" Elder Elizabeth said, as we were putting
the dishes in order at the two tables we had placed together.

"It is marvelous" my mother commended. They started talking about the house as I
was thinking about the state our kingdom was.

Our enemies had taken over the place.

Two strong arms wrapped around my waist. From the tingles I knew it was Cole, he
placed a kiss on my shoulder and I leaned my head back against his firm shoulder.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked me, "The kingdom" I replied.

He sighed, "I know, baby" he whispered. "What are we going to do?" I asked him, "We
are going to talk about this later" he said as he pulled a chair out for me.

We sat down and ate our dinner. Cole arm was around me constantly, his fingers
usually touching my skin, like he was making sure I was actually there.

There was a weird feeling in the air, I knew what it was. Worry, we were all
worried about our people.

Later, when we had done the dishes we all went to sleep. The house was not large
enough and some people had to sleep on the couches though, Cole and I had our own
room. The perks of being the King and Queen.

I was laying on my back, staring at the beige ceiling over me. Cole was in the
bathroom taking a much needed shower. Something inside me was telling me that this
was not going to end well.

This bad feeling was eating me inside and I didn't know if I should take it by
notice or if it was just me.

"Everything will be alright" Cole's voice pulled me out of thoughts; I took a good
look at him.

He had a towel wrapped around his lower half and he was bare chest. He looked like
a god. The perfect kind of god for me. "Having a good time?" he asked me teasingly
causing my face to turn red.

He chuckled sexily. I was so jealous of his way of feeling carefree, even with
those enemies over our head.
"Don't be so uptight. Calm down" he whispered, I shook my head showing him I
couldn't.

"Well, then I can help you" he said.

Sex scene on the "Private Chapter"

"That was-"I begun to say.

"Amazing" we both finished.

We were both breathing hard, his hand found mine and held it tight. I received it
as a gesture of his saying. Everything is going to be okay!

I smiled sweetly at him and snuggled closer to him.

"Everything's going to go back to where it was. Everything will be like before" he

whispered to me. I looked up at him, he was looking at the horizon, and the
determination in his eyes was crystal clear. His wolf and he wanted our peach and
quiet.

I wanted to talk about it, but I decided against it.

Maybe I should leave him be for a while and discuss everything tomorrow morning.

"Let's not talk about this right now" I told him.

"You are right, let's get lost on each other" he said and went for round two!!!
The next morning I woke up to an empty bed.

I looked around and saw an outfit on the chair near the bed. I smiled thinking Cole
probably put the clothes out. From where, though?

I took a shower and put my clothes on. I got downstairs; some people were at the
living room, other at the kitchen and other were sitting on the table talking. Cole
was nowhere to be found.

"Good morning" I said to the people in the kitchen, "Good morning, dear" my mother
and Elder Elizabeth said while the rest of the people said "Good morning, Luna".

I took a cup of peach tea, my favorite kind of tea.

"Where is Cole?" I asked them, "In the office down the hall" everyone replied, we
all burst in laugh realizing how synchronized they sounded. I walked down the hall
and knocked on the door, "Come in, baby" Cole's voice sounded.

I got in and saw him sipping from his cup while looking at some plans in front of
him. "Good morning" I told him while leaving my cup of tea on his desk and taking a
seat on his lap.

He chuckled and kissed the side of my neck. "Good morning, sweetheart" he said
sweetly.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

I took a good look at what was standing in front of him. I realized it was the
plans of the castle and the strategy we would follow in order to take our palace,
back.

"Preparing" he answered to me,

"Those are the plans?" I asked him, "Yes" he answered.

"Do I fit into them?" I asked him hopefully, "As much as I would love to tell you
no and make you stay on the safe house until everything is clear, we need you" he
said kind of moody.
"Good. When are we attacking?" I asked him, "In a month" he replied.

I turned to face him. Wasn't a month a little too much?

"Why in a month? Isn't it a little late?" I asked him.

He shook his head and circled my waist with his arms. "No, I have to get in touch
with some packs, make sure that friends are going to stick with me" he told me
sincerely.

I nodded. He was, as always, right. We needed more people with us; we needed allies
to help us. We couldn't make it on our own.

"When are you going to contact them?" I asked him, "Right now. I made some phone
calls; three packs are on our side. They are coming this way and are extra careful"
he replied. "Do they know about the situation?"

He smiled at me, "Baby, at your coronation the word was already out that you are
the new Queen. They are perfectly informed" he answered. "What about the Black
Mooners?" I asked him worriedly, his eyes turned black that means his wolf was in
need to get out.

"Yes, they know everything. Still, they have faith in their King and Queen" he said
proudly. I kissed his cheek and rested onto his body.

After a while he started making phone calls. Pack after pack was agreeing on going
into war with the Black Mooners. From what I heard, some of the packs were even
aware of their existent and their purpose. Those packs were the one who said they
were willing to fight until death for the royal couple. Meaning me and Cole.

After three hours of phone calls and taking the number of the fighters, Cole was
satisfied enough with his doing. He had thirty-thousand fighters, without ours in.
A pretty good number, if you ask me.

"I think we did well" he said proudly.

I smiled at him, but then something turned around deep inside of me, causing an un-
easing feeling to run through me. I run upstairs to our personal bathroom with Cole
on my tail.

I vomited and I had nothing for breakfast yet. I felt bad, I touched my forehead,
but I had no fever.

"What's wrong, are you sick?" Cole asked me touching my face.

I shook my head afraid of opening my mouth. "Lay down" he instructed me and I did
as he ordered. I was in no mood to argue.

He brought me some water and I sipped a little, I was feeling slightly better. "Are
alright now?" he asked me. I nodded again.

Cole being the whipped guy that he is called the older woman to check on me, since
we didn't have a doctor with us and he went call at one of the packs that were
going to follow us, and request a pack doctor.

"How are you feeling, honey?" my mother asked me taking a seat beside me. "Alright"
I replied, she too put a hand on my forehead, when she realized I didn't have fever
her eyes narrowed and looked at the Elder Elizabeth. She was looking at my mother
with and annoying knowing look.

"What?" I asked the alarmed, I have never seen that look shared by my mother and
Elder Elizabeth, though I have seen it between my mother and my father. It was the
look that said I-know-something-that-you-don't. It was a scary look, which could
easily bring a criminal to his knees.

"Nothing, dear" they both said at the same time, increasing suspicion.

"I am not buying it. Tell me, now" I order them more than told them. My mother
flinches, but Elder Elizabeth stayed and continue looking at me without as much
blink. "Well, we think that you might be" my mother started.

"Pregnant" Elder Elizabeth, my mother and Cole said at the same time. Cole was
standing at the door looking at me shocked yet with a hint of happiness. Elder
Elizabeth and my mother looked at him and nodded.

"I guess you need some time" my mother said and she and Elder Elizabeth left our
room. Cole continues standing there looking at my knotted hands on my belly.

"A baby" he whispers, "A pup" he whispers again. "My pup, our pup, our baby" he
says louder this time at me. I look at him not saying a word; the truth is I don't
know what to say and how. I want to say something, but words fail me.
He takes a few steps closer to me, his eyes never leaving my covered belly. He sits
next to me, and puts his hand on my tummy. I freeze, I don't know why but I do.
There is a moment of silence; the only thing we could hear was our hearts. "This is
our baby, in there" he says again looking at me this time.

I don't know how, but something inside me clicked. My wolf started jumping up and
down full of joy, from our link I could feel Cole's wolf full of happiness talking
to Cole.

I cannot make what he is saying to him, but I can make out a few words.

Our mate... pregnant...our pup...dad...responsible...joy... hug her.!

What are you waiting for? My wolf tells me.

I-I don't know. Now? The baby came now? I asked her alarmed and worried.

It was bound to come one day. It just came sooner, hug your mate, be happy with
him.

I thought about it and she was right.

This baby will bring us joy in these hard times, but will it be safe? Will it be
okay through everything?

I asked myself.

"Samantha?" Cole summoned me, "We are going to have a family" he said with a huge
grin on his handsome face.

I smiled at him and threw myself in his arms.

I was determined. Whatever was bound to happen, it would happen. I will just be
strong enough for all of us. I was going to be a mother after all.

That is what a mother does.

She is strong for her family!!

One month later

A month passed in a blur, but so many things happened.

I never thought that so many things could happen in only thirty days. Cole is over
excited, along with every 'survivor' that lives with us in the little house, about
the little prince who would come to this world in only a few months.

Naturally, our mothers were watching me like a hawk. They didn't let me get tired,
though I didn't complain. Cole wanted me near him the whole time, apart from the
times he would lock himself in his office along with the rest of the Alphas.

That is another matter. The Alphas. It's times like this when you are truly proud
about your kingdom. Around 5 of the mightiest and strongest Alphas came to our
support; thankfully we had no problems with our enemies.

There were times when I would catch Elder Elizabeth looking into space; I knew what
she was thinking about. Her son, Aiden. For a mother, betrayal is a heavy baggage,
I wouldn't understand it if I didn't get pregnant and think myself in her shoes.

I wanted to comfort her, but what could I possibly say?

I was worried about the people back to the palace. The good news is that some of
them escaped and managed to find us. They now have a place in the house.

The men who could not fight built another section for the house, making it bigger
so more people could fit in.

The sad thing is hearing about the rest of the people back to the palace. Some of
them died, children were left alone. Thankfully the people who escaped helped some
of the children and brought them here.

Hearing about murders and tortures was something I cannot describe. The people who
came described the scenes so well it was repulsive and made me puke.

The Specials who managed to come with us, well, all of them actually, were
practicing and making sure they were in perfect shape.
Miranda didn't let me practice on my own; every time we did we would
remember...Jake.

It was still hard for us to admit to ourselves that our ex Alpha and friend
betrayed us.

I was currently sitting in the kitchen eating a bowl full of fruits. It's good for
the pup, everyone keeps saying. One of the little orphans, my greatest weakness,
Chloe, a 4 year old girl came into the kitchen and took a seat next to me.

I smiled down at her, "Hi Chloe" I said. She smiled back at me, with her bright
smile that still was able to blind the whole world even though her two front teeth
were missing.

"Hi, your Highness" she greet me, I frowned at her, "How many times I told you to
call me Sam?" I asked her teasingly. "Many, but it's hard to get used to it" she
said sounding like a grown woman.

I laughed, "Do you want some fruit?" I asked her. She nodded and I offered her
some, she took it gladly and started chewing.

"Samantha?" she summoned me with my full name. I never heard her calling me like
that so I turned my full attention at her. "Yes, dear?"

"Why can't we go home?" she asked me. I figured this question was bound to come,
she has been living with us for weeks now and she hadn't made that question yet.
"Because it's dangerous right now" I smartly replied, she kept looking at me with
those big brown eyes. "Why?" she asked again, "Is it because of those mean people
that killed my mama and dada?" she continued asking.

"Yes, honey. But don't worry because Cole will fix it" I told her reassuringly; "I
know, he will always protect us" she said and took another bite from her apple.

Cole was kind fond of Chloe. I had never seen him smiling that much to a little
kid. Whenever he had free time he would take me and Chloe to the nearest and safest
tree and we would have pick nick under it. At those times we mostly talked. Cole
and I loved learning new things about Chloe; I guess our parental instinct was
starting to kick in.

Chloe too was fond of us. Whenever she had nightmares she would run at our room and
demanding to sleep with us. I saw it as practice for the future, but there were
times when I would wish Chloe was our child.
"What are my two women doing here" Coles voice snapped me out of my train of
thoughts. "We are eating fruit. I am eating an apple as Sam is eating a banana" she
said smiling at Cole. He smiled back at her and kissed her hair and then kissed me
on my lips.

"How are you?" he asked me placing his hands on my stomach. "We are good too" I
said pecking his cheek.

"Sit with us Cole" Chloe said smiling at him. He took a seat next to her and took a
slice of apple from my bowl.

We started chatting only the three of us, soon Miranda and Derek joined us and then
the Alphas with some warriors. In the end the entire house was sitting with us.

It was a pleasant commotion; we were like a big family.

"Cole, when are we going home?" Chloe asked Cole making the entire room fall
silent. We were all waiting for Cole to answer. He turned to Derek, from their
faces you could see they were talking through their mind link.

A few minutes later Cole rose from his seat. "I have an announcement to make, since
little Chloe asked me I find it the perfect time to say this out loud. Taking
advantage of the fact you are all here, I am to inform you, that we set a day for
the attack" he said.

Whispers started, but Cole voice shushed them. "Silence! The date is set and our
warriors are ready. We are lucky to have the Specials by our side and warriors who
are able to support us fully. Children, women who cannot fight, or pregnant women
are going to stay behind" he said the last part rather slowly looking at me.

I wanted to fight, but something inside me stopped me. "In only three days, we will
have, hopefully, our homes back!" he finished.

People started clapping, but I could move. I needed to fight for my home, for my
family. Why couldn't women fight? I asked myself,

I am not saying women cannot fight. Some of our warriors and our Specials are
women. I just think that you and our family should stay behind taking care of the
house and the children. Cole's voice boomed in my mind. He was right!

I looked down at my small bump and then at Chloe she was looking around terrified
and sad. "Honey?" I summoned her; she turned her big brown eyes and looked at me. I
took her in my arms and kissed and head as she laid it on my shoulder. "Everything
will be alright, sweetheart. I will let nothing hurt you" I told her.
Cole's arms circled us both.

I felt like we were family, and we were.

BACK AT THE PALACE!

THE BLACK MOONERS

JACK'S POV

I finally found my true mate.

Even though Svetlana doesn't have the best reputation, she is warm and kind to me.
Though she also is a little suspicious, I can't blame her, I mean I betrayed my
King. Why would I do that?

In the beginning the entire reason was Samantha. I always had a secret crush on
her, but now, I felt nothing. I did though wanted revenge. For my mate been kicked
out of the palace, for Cole getting Samantha before I found Svetlana and most of
all, I crave the revenge my grandfather wasn't able to get after he was killed by
no other than the previous King. The royal family was no innocent, and it is time
for them to pay.

The Black Mooners appeared the perfect moment. Gerard understood my reasons for
wanting revenge, and he helped me. I wish my father shared the same thoughts, when
I informed him of my plans and actions he was against it all. That was when I
realized I was on my own.

I didn't do badly for my own, I played my part well and I won. Kind of, I still
haven't killed the royal couple. That is actually the problem; we have no idea
where they are. Gerard keeps pacing in his new office, Cole's office, trying to
find them. He has sent men outside looking for them and he has makes sure everyone
knows that the palace has been taken over by the Black Mooners.

No one believed them; actually some Alphas came to see with their own eyes if that
is true. They are now locked up in their cells.

I was currently cuddling in bed with Svetlana. We had finally mated; I would have
enjoyed it if it wasn't for the triggering thoughts invading my mind.

"Jack?" she called me, "Yes, my love?" I replied.

"What are we going to do now?" she asked me. I looked at her confusedly. "What do
you mean, love?" I asked her while playing with her blonde hair.

"I mean what now? The Black Mooners have taken over the palace; you are helping
them for unknown reasons. What about us? "She asked me.

I shook my head, "Honey, don't think about that now. Right now we need to put an
end to our enemies and then, as I talked with Gerard we will take a house outside
the palace. We are going to live there" I told her.

I had thought about it. I was too wondering what will happen next, so I made sure I
had a plan. Not only for me, but for her too. I was going to be the best mate, for
her.

"We are going to live together?" she asked me, raising her body and resting on her
elbows. I nodded my head, "In our own house?" she asked again. I nodded once more;
she shrieked and fell on me showering me with kisses as we hit it off for round 3.

Gerard POV

Where could they be?

I have sent so many men out there looking for them. For all of them. The
abomination, the filthy King, the Elder, everyone else who managed to escape.
But they are no where to be found. It's like they vanished from the face of earth.

I didn't care though; I was going to find them no matter what. I grew up knowing
the prophecy, knowing that my destiny is to kill the royal couple, before they kill
us. I was going to succeed, without a doubt.

A knock on the door brought me back to this world, a young man came in. Simon, one
of my men who were out there searching for them. "Any luck?" I asked him.

"Nothing, sir, they are nowhere to be found. We searched even two miles away from
here but nothing" he replied.

I knocked a lamp down, effectively startling Simon. How is this possible? Where are
they? "Keep looking. They can't be far, maybe they are hiding underground. Keep
looking for them" I ordered him.

I was going to keep looking; maybe if I made every member of the pack looking for
them, then maybe I would find them sooner.

Yes, that is was I was going to do.

Samantha's POV

3 days later...

We were all ready.

Warriors. Specials. Fighters. Each and every one of them was prepared for the
battle, because they were going to be a battle, no doubt.

I was scared though, I was bound to stay home, protect the people in here and make
sure no one runs or freaks out. I didn't know what to say to make them feel better,
but I guess my queen side knew exactly what to say.
Before they go their way, I made a small speech. Nothing fancy, just a few words to
give them some mental power. I could feel Cole's pride as I was talking.

I said:

Men, women. Today you are going to fight, not only for your palace, but for your
families and yourself. You should be proud that you are given an opportunity to
prove yourself to all of us. As a queen, I am already proud of you. Whatever
happens during the fight, just remember that you are doing something right,
something for your future. For our future.

For myself, that wad just an average speech, but for the others and Cole, it was a
speech appropriate for a Queen.

I had said a rather warm fare well to Cole. I spend the previous day at bed with
him, after all. Little Chloe hugged him tightly before he left with his newfound
army too. It was a really touching image, both of them hugging saying "come back"
and "I will" to each other.

I was holding Chloe's little hand tightly as we were watching our army disappearing
into the dark forest. "Now we just wait?" Chloe asked me, "Yes, honey. Come on lets
get inside" I said.

The only thing we could do is...wait!

I know I have not posted for quite some time. That is because I had no internet
connection, therefore logging into Wattpad was not possible.

During my time away from the website, I found time to write more chapters. So, you
will be happy to know that there will be problems with the uploading part. There is
also a slight chance I will finish the book, sooner. Meaning, I am currently
writing more and more chapters so the final chapter will be ready.
Also, school is starting in a few days. Maybe by the time school starts I will have
finish all my chapters and all I have to do is upload them. I wish! *fingers
crossed*

I have a few ideas for possible books. I have many ideas for stories about
werewolves, normal couples, other supernatural species and more. But, lately I have
been thinking about a story involving an assistant and her boss. I will probably
name it "The Older Guy".... Stick around and wait for updates.

Chapter 27

Cole's POV

Determined

That is the word that describes what I am, right this moment. I am determined to
erase that pack, not only from the earth, but from the planet as well.

My small army was enough to take them down, I hope. The Alphas by my side had
brought many capable men, but my people too were strong enough. We had been
training for a whole month. I hope all that training pays of.

Leaving Samantha was hard. But it was something that needed to be done. She will be
safe in that house, along with our baby and little Chloe. I have no idea why, but I
feel closer to that little girl. I guess, my paternal instinct guides me.

We all let our wolves take charge for a while, but keeping touch with our human
part. We most sertenly didn't want our wolves to kill everyone in the palace and
around the town. The mind link was open to me and my...army? I was able to
communicate them any time.
We reached the boarders of the palace.

Guards were guarding the gate, but they were not my guards. They were Black
Mooners. Four man. Two at both sides of the gates and other two a few steps away.

I want four wolves attacking each one of them.

I gave them my first order. Immediately four wolves took over the task and attacked
our first four enemies. They didn't even had time to say 'Stop', my fighters
knocked them down and shred them to pieces. We couldn't let anyone live.

After the guards were dead, we had to get into the town. I divided them in two
groups. One group was going to attack the people in the palace and the other the
people in the town.

I was in the group which was going to attack the palace. I left Derek in charge of
the other group and with a 'good luck' we moved on.

Two men were sitting by the doors of the grand palace, my hope. We killed them in
no time, I had a feeling things could get messy around here. Inside were some
servants, my people, looking sad and lonely. Tears had dried on their faces and
bruises were visible on them. When they saw us, their face lit up. I shook my wolf-
like head telling them, screaming out of joy was not a good idea.

One of our men took charge to keep all of the servants and our people safe during
the fight.

After that was established we walked further into the house. Some of my men went on
the upstairs floor while me and the rest of them walked to the kitchen, the living
room, the ballroom and every other room which held the Black Mooners occupied.

Soon enough, hell broke free.

Wolves were fighting at every visible corner. Women were screaming while others
took everything they had in them and attacked us. I easily got rid every wolf who
made the wrong move coming against me. There were specific people I wanted to have
a... chat with.

I took the Specials with me. Actually, they decided to follow me. I gave them the
option to be in the other groups; two of them left me to help the others. The rest
of them stayed by their King.

My first stop was at my big office. Luckily for me they were all there, it was kind
of weird, but I knew that they were all waiting for me.

Aiden. Jack. Svetlana and Gerard.

I was a little taken back by the sight of Jack and Svetlana for two reasons. First,
Svetlana and Jack had betrayed us and second they were holding hands and their eyes
shined. They were mates.

"Hello, Cole" Gerard's voice called me. He was like the head of the little group
over there. I changed into my human form, never minding the fact that I was butt
naked.

"Gerard. I see you got comfortable at my office" I noted, he smiled a cold smile.
His eyes looking at me with disgust and betrayal? "Yes, you see I needed a place to
work. Your office was...well, appropriate for someone like me" he replied.

I looked over at Jack and Svetlana.

"Alpha Jack. You big, bad traitor" I mumbled shaking my head. He didn't smile he
just stared at me, after a moment he spoke. "Surprised Cole? I know you are, but
think about it, you should have seen it coming" he spoke like blaming me. For what?

"You know Jack; I would have never seen it. You were Samantha's Alpha and a friend.
How could someone so close to her, betray her like that? Want her dead?" I asked
him.

He shook his head, "You took her away from me. But don't worry, I hold no grudge,
after all I did met my mate" he said looking adoringly at Svetlana. "I guess I owe
you a bit, but then again your father was a lame King. I am proud for his death. I
am proud for being his killer" he said ruthless.

I wanted to attack. My wolf wanted to attack and the Specials behind me craved that
attack. "You. Killed. Him" I spoke mechanically. He grinned and nodded.

I turned to Lady Svetlana.

"And you? You, a Lady, an important friend of the royal family. Betraying the
people who made you who you are" I said to her. She scoffed, "You pushed me away,
darling. What did you expect. I admit I didn't know Jack was the King's killer, but
don't forget. There were times your father was our greatest enemy. Above all, you
threw me out, you asshole" he said.

I growled loudly at her causing her to cower back. Jack growled at me and the
Specials behind me growled back.

Aiden was silent the whole time. I took a good look at him. He looked awful. Tired,
hungry, alone. "Brother" I called him.

He looked at me with such pain in his eyes. "Why did you betray us? You from all
people?" I asked him, my heart clenching for my dear brother.

"Oh Cole! You don't know how it's like. You don't know how it feels, to see your
mate every day and not being able to touch her. Smell her hair or kiss her on the
lips. It's torture" he said, more like whispering.

"You could have come to me!" I told him. It's true, if he had come to me, I would
have seeked a way for him to be with his mate. I would have talked to dad about
him.

"To you? What would you have done? You were too busy looking dashing and being the
perfect son, to notice my misery. You got your mate without complains. I held her
once and then she was gone. YOUR MATE KILLED HER!" he screamed at me. I was taken
back, what was he talking about?

"Sam killed no one" I told him.

"Then why was she laying dead next to her bed?" he asked me. "Because she had
fought the Black Mooners who went against her Queen" I replied.

He looked at me again, never taking his eyes off me. He turned slightly his head as
if he could not understand what I was telling him.

"Aiden, your mate died while trying to prevent the Black Mooners to kill Samantha"
I explained him. "No, Sam killed her. The Black Mooners saw it all" he said again
and again.

He was going crazy.

"Listen to me Aiden, they lied to you. They killed her, they are to blame" I told
her as calm as I could.
Aiden was shaking with anger, Jack pulled Svetlana behind him and away from my
angry brother.

Aiden stopped shaking and turned to Gerard who had an impassive face on. "Is it
true?" he asked him, Gerard kept looking at him with his sickening impassive face,
suddenly his expression changed and his thin lips turned into an evil smirk. "Oh
Aiden, I am so sorry. But you see, we had to get you by our side. Even if that
meant we had to kill your beloved mate" he said.

"YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN ME BY TELLING ME ABOUT REVENGING MY FATHER. YOU COULD HAVE
LET MY MATE LIVE." He screamed loud enough for a whole world to hear.

"But then your powers could benefit us completely, could they?" he asked ignoring
the fact that he did an evil action.

Aiden's face changed into one of pure hatred and dark. He looks at Gerard and in
one second he is by my side. "You are going to regret killing my mate" he said.
Black shadows, illusions, surrounded us, all looking at Gerard. The ground started
shaking and air blew through the windows. A right hell.

The dark shadows attacked Gerard. They got into him and started torturing him from
inside. His eyes turned red, and he started screaming and begging Aiden to stop.
But he didn't with one word Gerard's body burst into black flames.

"Goodbye" was Aiden's word. The last word Gerard heard, before he burst into black
flames and then the flames fade away.

And then silence...

Samantha's POV

They were gone for over an hour.

I was trying to be strong for the woman and children they left behind. I took care
each and every one of them, telling them everything would be alright and that we
should cook something for them.
I ate almost five banana's from my anticipation. At some point little Chloe had
take my hand and made me play with her at the living room where all the children
and women were sitting.

I was so caught up with the games, that the sudden noise from outside startled me.
Everyone kept still, not moving, barely breathing and looking terrified.

I instructed everyone to stay inside while I went to see who was out there.

My father along with Elder Elizabeth and some unknown people were throwing stones
at the house. "Dad, Elder Elizabeth what the hell are you doing?" I asked them at
the same time my mother came by my side.

She saw them and started shaking her head at my father, "Why? No! You said you were
against them, that they weren't going to hurt your child" my mother screamed at my
father. He looked at her sadly, "I was raised like this, honey. I cannot fight it,
come here and you will be safe. Let me bring solace to the world" he says to her
gently.

I understand nothing.

I have no idea what they are talking about. I turn to my mother, asking for some
explaination. "Get inside, baby. Protect your family" she says, "No, what is going
on?" I ask her.

"Let me finish the job!" my father screams at my mother and throws a stone at me.
My instincts all kick in at the same time,

Protect yourself.

Protect your family.

Protect your baby.

A huge wall of fire comes around the house, blocking my father and Elder Elizabeth
along with their group out. I turn to my mother once more.

The words that comes out of her mouth was definitely not expected.

"Your father is one of the Black Mooners."

Chapter 28

Samantha's POV

How do you react, when your mother tells you that your father, the person who
raised you and chased the boys away, is part of the pack that wants you dead? Can
you run? Should you run? What about the others? What about your mother? Do you
stay? And for what?

Also, what about your...I guess mother-in-law? The person who gave birth to the man
of your dreams and heart, is the person who wants you dead too. The crazy part is
you had no idea, it came out of no where and left you standing there.

"Mom, what did you just say?" I ask her again, trying hard to make sense on her
words. She sighs and repeats herself, "Your father is one of the Black Mooners".

The same sentence goes around my head. Again and again and again. "No, you are
lying" I say suddenly feeling nauseous. "Sweetheart, listen to me. You have to keep
your fire up and get inside. This is important" she speaks with her motherly tone.
The one tone I always felt safe with.

A part of me takes charge of the fire wall, keeping it up and steady so no one can
come in. Another part of me obeys my mother, even though my queen kind nature says
otherwise, and let her lead me into the kitchen.

I hear my mother telling everyone to stay indoors and keep the children safe. She
leads me to the kitchen and puts me down on one of the chairs. The shock is still
great and painful on my shoulders.

"Tell me everything" I say, surprising her and myself.

"Your father comes from their pack. I met him when he came to our territory,
claiming he was a rogue and that he wanted a place to stay. Our Alpha let him and I
met him and mated with him. Some time later he told me the whole truth. He knew
about the prophecy, actually a prophecy was made for him as well. That he will give
life to the abomination" she says while sniffing, trying to keep her eyes dry but
failing.

"I didn't know what to do. I was familiar with the name of the pack, they were
supposed to be extinct, but I guess I was wrong. I never paid much attention, to be
true I completely forgot about it until you were born. When we realized you were
Special, I was terrified, but he showed me he was changed. That he loved you and
wanted you safe not dead, he is your father after all." Mom's voice was breaking
little by little.

"When we came here, I saw him talking to Elder Elizabeth. In the beginning I was
utterly jealous, after all she is an amazing woman. I thought she had her paws on
my husband. How wrong was I? She, too, is from that pack. Your father told me a few
days ago, I asked him if she was like him. If she didn't believe what her previous
pack did. He didn't reply, I should have known then, but my wolf was not believing
it. She was refusing to believe that her beloved mate.. wanted their pup dead.My
human part didn't know what to think, the evidence were all there, but I was too
blind. Too ignorant. When we found out you were pregnant, I was both happy and
scared. Now that another King was in line, what would they do?".

After a moment it was like she was telling the story to herself.

"You know, I kept asking myself if they ever loved their mates and their family.
They both knew that their heirs were the ones they must kill, was that their plan?
Have their pups and then kill them? That is unheard of. You must know Sammy, the
greatest love a werewolf has, is not her mate. Is the love about its pup. A mother
protects her pup no matter what. I am sure that Elder Elizabeth prefers you dead,
rather than her own son. It's just the way it is. You will see it, when your baby
is born. Another bond, stronger, will form between you two and I wish you both live
to feel it" he whispered the last part.

"Did he ever loved me?" I asked her, the desperation clear in my voice. She nodded,
"A part of his loves you more than anything. But he was raised with the belief you
are not to live. For years before you were born and after I found out about the
prophecy, I tried to change his mind. Make him quit whatever they told him, but it
was a lost cause in the end.

Now, listen carefully. My wolf hurts for the betrayal of her mate, but our pup is
more important than our own life. I am going to help you keep them away from
here... Even if that means I have to die or kill them" she said.
I wiped a tear that had managed to escape from my eyes. "The people outside heard
the story, they will fight with us" she whispered.

I nodded and took a deep, much needed, breath. I got off the chair I was sitting
and headed for the door. I could see the shadows outside the wall, they were
throwing water and stones against us. I didn't know what to do, so I let my wolfy
part take over.

Mate. Traitor. Father... Your Mother.

Those words travelled from my mind to Cole's, informing him of the situation. Our
private mind link opened and I felt the feeling of betrayal running stronger
through me.

Eliminate threat. Protect pup. Protect family. Protect mate. Protect. Protect.
Protect...... I love you.

Cole's wolf knew what we should do, but the last part came from both of them. They
loved us, no matter what.

From within me I found my secret and safe place, I opened my eyes and I instantly
knew they were red like fire. I raised my palm, throwing the fire against them.
Burning them alive.

The screamed and screamed. I could feel my mother crying, feeling half, but I also
felt her giving me strength. Telling me to do what I had to, to protect my family.

Like she did with hers.

Cole's POV

Dread.

Sorrow.

Betrayal.

Three words that explain perfectly my state.

After seeing Aiden in action I knew why my father wanted him trained, smart and
loyal. He was powerful, probably more powerful than everyone else.

"Did you joined them only for your mate?" I ask him in the middle of the silence,
he looked at me and shook his head. "For many reasons, but my mate was the final
drop of water. I am sorry brother" he said.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

I turned to see Jack claping with an annoying smirk on his pathetic face. "What a
touching moment. Two brothers, finally finding peace with themselves. I am touched,
really. I am terribly sorry for not being able to let that wonderful moment take
her way, but you see, I have thing to do. People to kill. Revenge to take. Surely,
Aiden would know how that feel like" he said without replacing his smirk.

"I can let you live Jack" I told him. He burst into hysterical laughter, "No, no no
no. I don't think so, please don't go around telling people that is awful for a
King like yourself" he says to me.

I growl, my wolf not liking the direspect, that lame young Alpha was showing to us.

"Jack, be careful" Svetlana told him from behind. That's when it hit me, I would
take Svetlana by my side.

"Lady Svetlana. Is this approppriate for a Lady like yourself?" I ask her, she
shakes her blond head. "I am no Lady anymore. Or did you forget?" she spats. "I
know, as I know I can give your title back to you and your family" I say to her
keeping the eye connection. Jack get in front of her blcking my view of her and
starts growling.

"Don't address my mate" he growls.

"Are you jealous Jack? Jealous of what I took from you? Samantha? Or Svetlana? The
fact that they both crave me" I whisper to him trying to make him out of his mind.
He growls and attacks me, but he stops mid air, as water surround him out of no
where.

We all turn to see Miranda standing at the door, Derek and the others around her,
as she looks at Jack. Her eyes are blue, like the sea's color and gently she drowns
Jack. Svetlana is screaming at her to stop, for a minute she looks at me, asking
permission. I nodd and the water surrounds Svetlana as well.
That was it.

They are both dead.

Cole's POV

Miranda was standing on the door.

Jack and Svetlana's bodies were laying on the floor lifeless. No one was talking or
moving only breathing. Derek's hands circled slowly Miranda's waist as he whispered
something to her ear. She nodded, bowed to me and followed Derek outside.

We won. Eveybody's dead. Derek informed me from the mind link.

"WE WON" I screamed and everyone started screaming excited, gongratulating each
other.

Sam? I talked to Samantha from the mind link, I had to make sure she was alright
after her encounter with her father and my mother,

My mother, the traitor.

Cole? Are you alright? Her worried voice echoed through my head.

i am fine, baby. How are you? How's my son? I ask her, I can feel her smile.

We're both fine. Waiting for you, dady. She says sweetly, I laugh through the link,
but stop when I am ready to ask her the question.

Is mom- your dad...are they...

They are dead.

She says sadly.

I am coming to get you baby. I tell her and start ordeing people.

The place needed a good cleaning. Bodies and blood was everywhere, but
also...people. My people. When they saw me getting out of the palace they run to
me, hugging me, thanking me, praising my abilities.
I thanked them all and reassured about their safety and run to the safe house. I
needed to be with my beloved mate.

Samantha's POV

He was coming, finaly. My mate was coming to get me, that means we have won.

I got inside the house, my mother was sitting on a chair women around her trying to
comfort her. She saw me and looked at me expectanly, "Cole is coming, we won" I
told them.

Kids, women, men, they all started celebrating and making arrangements for a grand
feist. "He is an able King" my mother whispered to my ear while hugging me tightly.

"I am sorry mother. For everything" I say, she shakes her head and looks at me like
I am a fool. "You did you job, which is to protect your family and your people.
Just, your father was not the man we wanted him to be" she explained and put one
hand on my belly.

"This little guy though, he will be amazing" she said with pride. "Your first
grandsone" I tell her she smiles knowingly, "First of many" she says. I blush,
"Mom" I whine.

"What? Only one? There is no fun in that" she says. I hug her craving her soothing
touch. The touch of a troubled, but proud mother. "Will you help me, raise the
pup?" I ask her hoping for a positive answer.

"Are you joking? Where else would I go? Plus, I am not letting you alone, I want to
spoil that pup a little bit" she whispers the last part like its a secret.

The door opens and in gets Cole.

I run to him, his arms circle my waist spins me around as he kisses me lovignly.
"Everything alright?" I ask him, he nods. "Everything is perfect" he says.

"Hello, Cole" my mother says, Cole nods at her, "Are you alright?" he asks her. She
sighs, but nods with her head. "Yes, I am alright" she replies.

"Take your stuff everybody, we are going home" Cole says to everyone and with a bow
they all run around to take their stuff and get ready to go back home. Cole and I
go to our room and start packing. We don't have many things, since when we got here
we got nothing.

"We are finally going home" Cole says as he leaves a lingering kiss behind my ear.
"Hmm" I say unable to talk. Cole chuckles at my reply.

Suddenly a small person runs into our room and hugs our legs. We both look down to
see little Chloe looking at us happily. "Hello, sweetheart" Cole says and takes her
into his arms. "Hello, Cole" she says.

"Are we going home" she asks us and we nodd. "Come on, we have to get your shoes
on" I tell her and walk with her to the room where she and other orphans stay. As I
am puting her, her shoes on a thought crosses my mind. What if Chloe stayed with
us? Could we adobt her? Okay, those are more than one thought.

Chloe voices my thoughts, "Samantha? Where will I live from now on?" she asks me. I
look deep into her brown eyes, "I have an idea, let me talk to Cole and I will tell
you. Okay?" I say.

"Okay" she says. I take her hand we go to the living room where eveyones waiting
for us. "Let's go people" Cole says and slowly we all made our way to the forest,
to the path that leads to the palace.

Cole's POV

As we were all making our way back to the palace certain questions popped into my
head.

What about Chloe?

She is so young.

Where will she live?

She is an orphan all alone.

Can we adobt her?

I knew those questions were not mine. They were Sam's, I look at her who was
walking next to me. Her hand was holding Chloe's tightly. She looked at me from the
side of her eye but quickly looked forward, so I wouldn't catch her looking.

"I think its a marvellous idea" I whisper to her, she turns her head and looks at
me wide eyed. "You mean it?" she asks me,

"Of course I do. After all she is like a daughter to us" I explain to her. She
smiles and pecks my lips. "I will show you how much I appreciate this, late" she
whispers to me.

Immediately my patient run out and I wanted to run to the palace and into our room.

She takes my hand and while holding Chloes she takes us a few steps away from the
people walking. Some look at us confusedly, other just walk their way.

"Where are we going?" little Chloe asks us, "I want to ask you something" Sam tells
her. She looks at her waiting for her to continue. "How would you like it, to come
stay at the Palace and me and Cole become your parents" she says trying to sound
mature yet childish for her to understand.

"You mean, you and Cole be my mama and dady?" she asks us, "That's right
sweetheart" I say. She pretends to think about it, but I can already see the answer
in her eyes. "YES" she screams and hugs us both.

"I am going to tell my friends" she says and runs of to the crowd.

"That went well" I say to Sam as I pull her into my arms.

"Yes, thankfuly" she says. My hands trail her back and down to her butt, "Cole" she
scolds. "What? No one is looking" I say and look around.

She just scoffs, and takes my hand leading my back home.

Samantha's POV

The palace was cleaner than ever.

I could smell the chlorine in the air, which made me nauseous.

"Was that dirty that you had to use tons of chlorine?" I asked Cole as we made our
way inside the palace. He made me lie down to one of the couches in the living
room. "Let's just say it was a bloody mess" he says. I nodd and a deep breathe
trying to keep calm and not vomit on the newly clean floor.

Miranda come inside the living room and runs to me.

"How are you feeling? Why are you laying down?" she asks me worried, "Chlorine.
Baby. Nauseous" three words and she understood completely. "Do you want some
chocolate cake to make you feel better?" she asks me and I nod like crazy.

When she leaves the room I see Cole looking at Derek with a weird look in his eyes.
"What is going on?" I ask them, Cole shakes his hand, "Tell me" I insist.

"Miranda killed Jack and Svetlana" Derek admited. "Oh my god. How is she?" I ask
Derek alarmed, "Relax, your highness. She is alright, I talked with her, we are
just a little worried" he admitted.

"Why?" I ask them. "Baby, don't think about it now" Cole says, "Cole, stop keeping
things frome me" I tell him.

"There is a possility her powers go crazy. She killed once, she can do it again" he
explained.

For some, the idea that if a Special kills he or she get addicted to it, it was
just a myth. For others, a belief. I killed do, does that mean I will go crazy and
crave blood? I voiced my worries to Cole and Derek, they both said that if that was
true, they would do anything to prevent it.

"Sam, cake" Miranda screamed at me.

I forgot everything about killings and went straight for the cake.

In the large kitchen Mirand and little Chloe, my daughter, were sitting on the
table eating a piece of chocolate cake. "Come mama, this is great" Chloe says,
Miranda freezes and looks at me, I'll explain later, I mouth to her and take a
piece.

Later at night, a huge feist was organized in honor of the fighters who saved us.

There was dance, food, jokes. It was fun, Miranda and I danced our favourite song.
The afternoon before the feist we had talked about Jack, his betrayal and false
reasons for it. Miranda did not blame me for the end of Jack and I did not blame
her for his death. His father was shattered, but he knew that his son was heading
the wrong way. We sent his body to the pack and Svetlanas to her family. Then her
body would join Jack's at the pack's grounds. After all, they were mates.

At the feist, we announced my pregnancy and the adoption of little Chloe. Mom was
excited, she had one grandchildren and one on the way. She was playing with little
Chloe right now, making jokes and being a good grandmother.

There were times I caught her sighing sadly, I knew it was because of my father,
but everytime she did that Chloe would hug her and she would smile again.

When Cole and I got into our room we spent a night full of passion.

We just left everyone and everything behind and made sweet passionate love. That's
what we needed, and craved. Cole was very careful with the way he was touching me,
he didn't want to disturb the baby, which was both sweet and annoying.

My life was perfect now. Everything was right...

I only hope they stay that way.

EPILOGUE

6 YEARS LATER....

Looks like my wish came true.

Everything did stay the way it was. Peaceful.

Now, let me tell you what happened after the feist. The day after, everyone was
back at their jobs. The servants, the builders, the women, the trainers. It was
like a normal day. Cole had many things to do, thank all the Alphas, find a way to
repay them, send them home and then he had to announce at the entire kingdom, using
a messanger, that the King was back to his place and that a Prince was on his way,
along with the adoption of liitle Chloe.

Who didn't want to go to school but went anyway.

Fast forward to now...

Today is my son's birthday. Austin is finaly 6 years old. Yes, years passed by. It
was only yesterday I was singing him to sleep.

Little Chloe was now 11 years old and very bright. She was protective over her
little brother and was always helping him and telling him he was going to be a
great King. It was cute to watch.

Miranda and Derek had twins a year ago. Stephanie and Brody, who are the cutest
babies ever. Miranda killed no one, even though she had a problem with her powers
she handles it well.

My mother is being a silly grandma and spoils her grandchildren none stop.

Aiden is gone.

After we came back from the safe house a letter was in our room, from Aiden.

I am sorry about every wrong I did. I guess, the pain blinded me. I hope you
understand, actually I don't. I wish both of you a happy life. Don't worry about
me, I need my time and space. I might come back one day, but for now I have other
things to do. If you ever need me, call my name in the wind and I will come to help
you.

Cole was happy for him. With the letter he basically said no more fights and I
liked that.

The Black Mooners were finally extinct. They were wiped out, harshly but fair.

No more problems, no more pain.

As for Cole and I...We live our happily ever after. There are times when we fight,
but every couple does. I trust him completely now. I have no doubt in my
mind...Finally.

I am learning something new about him everyday, it keeps me on my toes for more.

If life can get any better, then I have no objection.

But for now I am good....
