like order receiving, sampling, purchase of raw materials, production of goods, shipment
and bills. As these works are done manually at the company at present it takes a lot of
time to complete the work. The Textile Management System is designed to allow the
industry to keep track of all employee details, textile details, product details, banquet
details and agent details. It keeps tracks of active employees as well as employees who
have left the textile industry. The Textile management System includes Front Office
Module, Back Office Module, Human Resource Management Module, and Accounts
Module. This will help authorized user to insert, delete, update or view the various records
related to employees, products and many more details. This makes the software flexible
to use. Textile management is now one of the most capital intensive industrial sectors.
The careful assessment of all factors involved in new projects thus becomes of ever
increasing importance. The higher the ratio of capital to labour, the more precise has to
be project planning and management. Textile project management describes the
technology, engineering and administrative procedures and techniques involved in
designing, constructing, procuring requisite machinery and equipping, organizing and
commissioning new textile factories.

Assumptions:

(i) Assume an attractive website is an effective website: I’m all for great design. Great
design alone can help sell a product, but an attractive website that doesn’t appeal,
navigate, or communicate the right message is not of much value.
(ii) Assume you know what your customers search: Business owners or anyone that has a
level of experience with an industry can become blinded with knowledge. You know
that the industry standard jargon for your widget is, “blah, blah, blah” but do your
prospectshave any idea that’s what it’s called?
(iii) Assume people will go to the contact page to find you Have you ever visited a site
with the primary goal of wanting to get a phone number or contact someone only to
have to hunt around for 20 minutes finding this one piece of data?
(iv) Assume people will come back because they like your site: Let’s hope every visitor
likes what they find when they drop by, but give them a valuable reason to come back – or
better yet, offer them something in exchange for their email address and permission to
sendthem updates.

Other
activities:

 Keeping record of raw material purchased.

 Gives and stores details of suppliers.
 Keeping record of stock available.
 Maintaining record of customers.
 Stores record of order placed by the customers.
 Gives details of orders to be processed.
 Gives information about orders that are completed.
 Gives information about uncompleted orders.
 Displays payment status of customers order like total amount to be paid advanced
paidby the customer,balance amount.
 Generates billing information.
 Stores employee information.

3
Success and Failure of the ERP system:

One very important factor is how innovative the textile industry is, together with the research
community serving it, and how innovative it is going to be in future. Historically, strong and
innovative materials, chemicals and machinery/component manufacturers have made vital
contributions towards helping the textile and clothing industry in their efforts to be
sustainable. The growth of the technical textiles sector in recent decades has been
remarkable. Innovation, mainly originating in the industrialized world, has benefited all
stages of the supply chain in textiles, especially advanced and technical textiles. In order to
make better use of the ideas generated in the research community of textile research institutes
and universities, the innovation-driven research and development work in these institutions
needs to be strongly prioritized. The transfer of knowledge to the industry should be made
much more effective than it is today; introducing the right environment in academic research
establishments would facilitate interaction with textile and clothing companies.

Problem statement:

 No Security has been provided to the data.

 As the work is manual it consumes lot of time and energy.
 Records of the customers and supplier are not maintained.
 Finding a specific record required searching of more then half of record.
 Since the system is manual report creation takes lots of time process.
 As the calculations are done manually there is possibility of incorrect calculation
resulting in incorrect information.
 Tasks like fee receipt, attendance management and salary generations are manually
carried out. In our system, attendance records once entered in maintained and retrieved
easily. As we see this reduces the manual work and manpower. Hence processing
becomes faster

Definition of problem statement:

 Maintaining detail: There are many more departments in the textile industry where all
the data maintaining in hand written register is too difficult at time of adding data or
retrieving data.
 Absence of validation: As the storage and exchange of date is achieved only by user of
registers, which lack validation problem.
 Inquire of available product: Checking status of the product was performed manually
looking in register which Is time consuming.
 No security facility: There is no security to handle the departmental data. Any one can
manipulate the data.
 Update problem: There is problem with updating or deleting of particular record. For
example they are not able to recollect the details of the previous customers, employees,
etc.

4
Importance:

 It integrates financial information.

 It integrates customer order information.
 It standardises and speed up manufacturing processes.
 It standardises Human Resources Information.
 It helps in increasing productivity and quality levels.
In simple terms an ERP system organises all the information of a company into one
centralised system. In India a large number of textile and garment companies are small in
size and falls under SME sector. Due to their size and facilities available the decentralised
and small companies confront five major challenges. They are:
 Adapting to changes in the multilateral trading system (price deterioration and the
need to cut cost). *Reviewing internal business processes to confront from market
forces.
 Understanding and adapting to retailer's business requirements (full package
system).
 Fast and frequent responses to product orders from retailers (quick response and
lean retailing.

Recommendation For the Software

 While coming to big industries it is not used, because large industries are aware of different
tools which are efficient than odoo tool.
 Large industries spend their budget on highly featured tools. Data accuracy also, one of the
problems in this Odoo tool. However, it offers free self-hosted plan but it takes a lot of pain
to install. While coming to table view of data, for example if we added customers and their data,
it shows outline of the customer in customer module.

 When we clicking somewhere not on the customer’s name, it starts hiding another customer’s
outline. It is also one of the draw back in this tool.Documentation needs to be comprehensive
and it should update. The underlying framework should be well documented for better
understanding on how to extend the platform. This also has problems with internet issues.
Sometimes it works slow when internet signals are low.

 With the rise of new technologies, odoo toolis imperative that businesses are able to adapt
quickly in order to compete in the ever changing market. And with more inbuilt apps available,
Odoo has the power to cover all our unique requirements in one single solution. This will make
our textile manufacturing process easier than ever before to fully customize and automate our
business processes. These days, many companies/industries use different software systems to
manage different aspects of their business.

5
Success:

 Multiuser environment is provided. In this when one user is updating a form the
other user cannot open the same form to avoid conflicts.
 Security to the data is provided by means of Login Form. Only authorized users
can have access to the system.
 The system allows users to maintain records of customers, suppliers, their orders,
raw materials, stock availability as well as bill generation.
 This system also allows users to generate Customer reports, Supplier reports, sales
and purchase reports as well as raw material’s reports in the form of crystal reports.
 The proposed system is developed to create a simple, user friendly and to use
software that avoids the tedious task done by the existing system. The proposed
system is accessible only to authenticated user of the system wherein all users of
the system contain their valid user id and password.
 The proposed system handles the various requirements of the textile. The
administrator of the system has been assigned to make their settings of the system.
He also has the right to see the login details.
 The proposed system handles the various requirements of the textile. The
administrator of the system has been assigned to make their settings of the system.
He also has the right to see the login details.
 The main requirement of this project is to make the task of inserting the employee
related details, product related details and maintain them very simple and time
saving. After inserting the details it must be retrieved whenever necessary by
search criteria which will give the actual information needed by the valid user.

 There are several reports that are generated based on the employees and room
which will show employee information, salary records and attendance. It will also
show room check in details and check out details. The Textile Management System
is end user application software.
 The textile system we are designing that helps the textile company to handle those
task that had been handled manually.

6
Failures:

One of the major disadvantages of Odoo is its complicated set-up structure. You might find it challenging
to implement the first time in your organization. We have noticed that some companies found it difficult to
implement in their environment due to the slow installation structure.

 LIMITED SUPPORT
With several support channels, Odoo has a limitation that it cannot provide seamless customer
support to all the clients due to limited resources. Some of the clients aren’t satisfied because
their problems were not resolved in the first incident. Also, the pricing of Odoo training is a little
bit higher for a Small scale organization.
 MAINTENANCE ISSUES
To operate the community version of Odoo, some clients briefed us that they required a high
level of IT support that wasn’t possible because they were in the initial phase of the business. If
you are looking for affordable Odoo support services, you can contact the Ksolves team
at sales@ksolves.com, and we promise you to provide customized solutions according to your
requirements.
 PRICING PLANS
The most common complaint of the Odoo users is complicated pricing. Odoo’s pricing is good
until the user uses a single module; as soon as you switch to one extra app, $30/month per user
will be billed along with the application’s cost. This creates confusion in the billing, and the cost
of applications increases subsequently. To mitigate this, Odoo has a pricing plan explained on
the pricing page to select the applications and check the billing plan.
 Final Verdict
Talking of the final verdict, Odoo is an emerging ERP that integrates multiple modules to better
the businesses. It’s been only 15 years, and Odoo is standing out tall for SMEs’ betterment, and
it is doing it without any miss. However, some disadvantages can be overcome with the best
Odoo service providers’ services helping every scale business according to their requirements.
If you are looking for flawless Odoo services, Odoo apps, and themes, contact us at

Abstract: In examining the industrialisation process in Swaziland, it is necessary to consider
the industrialists and the politico-economic context in which they operate. This involves some
cognisance of the machinations of the global textile industry. In this chapter, the priorities of
managers and owners will be considered as well as the role of women, aspects of the labour

Abstract: The textile industry in Europe consists mainly of small and medium enterprises
(SME), which are a vital part of the European Union economy. The SMEs are pressured by a
challenging financial situation and must become more efficient to stay competitive. Many
textile SMEs have, however, not adopted new quality management concepts for efficiency; this
represents an interesting research gap.
