ROLE OF ‘Sr.

Manager/AGM’ PEOPLE MANAGEMENT – FACTORY

Sr. Manager (PM)/AGM is the senior most official from the PM department who will report
directly to the office of Vice President People management, Corporate Office. AGM PM
would be responsible to head, guide and support the PM organization in the factory. The
broad line of responsibilities is as under:-

Systematic functioning of Time Office activities

- Registration of biometric

- Preparation of personal file with necessary documents.

- Issue of ID cards

- Obtain medical certificate wherever necessary

- Issue of appointment order

- Opening of bank account/PAN details

- Ensure that all communications to employee is maintained in his personal file

- Update payroll software as and when deemed necessary

- To review and recycle the documents to optimize the space and time

Payroll

- Ensure that all payroll inputs are updated and reach the concerned as per the salary
schedule for processing

- Ensure that the inputs are audited prior to processing of salary

- Ensure that the pay slip and the salary is being distributed on time.

- Ensure that the clerical errors in payroll are minimized / nullified.

- Ensure that the settlement of employees are made in time

- Update and maintain the ERP with appropriate employee details

- Update on revision of minimum wage, amendments if any

- Keep track of employees due for revision of salary based on probation/confirmation

- Interaction with accounts for loan, advance, change in title for various statutes

Statutory Compliances
- To ensure for the coverage of employees from first day under various statute
without fail

- To ensure that the contribution towards PF, ESI etc. is made on time

- Ensure obtaining statutory clearances and amendments on time (Factory license,


Boiler, Compressor, PCB, Fire, S & C Est)

- To submit returns under various statute on time.

- Coordinate in fulfillment of audit observations and liaison with third party/buyer


auditor

- Liaison with various statutory authorities and maintain amicable relation with them

Welfare Related

- Assist employee in health issues and liaison with ESI/Medical claim authorities

- Handle medical claim insurance coverage and employee claim for reimbursement

- Liaison with PF authorities in addressing PF claims

- Coordinate with consultant in respect of conciliation, employee related legal issues

- Coordinate with the lunch supply provider for quantity and quality concerns

MIS

- Daily manpower report/manpower ratio

- Monthly attrition/absenteeism report

- Monthly payroll variation report
