Education in times of the pandemic is a style of education that is still developing or refining.
This is because currently there are still many details that must be improved so that
education in these times can be carried out efficiently, and that students have a better
learning process. But, what does this style or form of education consists? The answer is not
so simple, since education is being imparted differently in each country. However, the most
common in this style of education is the use of virtual classes; these consist of video calls
between the teacher and his students. The classes are like virtual conferences; the teacher
explains a topic briefly and clarifies the doubts of the students. On the other hand, the
distance education method is also used, this consists of a form of education without face-
to-face contact (or very little) between the teacher and the students. This form of distance
education arises as a solution for those students or teachers who don’t have an internet
connection or don’t have laptops or cellphones that allow them to make video calls. In this
form of education, what the teacher does is send study material to the students (guides, e-
books, links, etc.) and assign them the tasks they must carry out. These methods are that
used to impart education in Venezuela and other countries; on the other hand, in many
countries the face-to-face classes are already being resumed (taking the necessary
security measures). This teaches us that with organization and strict compliance of the
prevention rules, it's possible to recover some aspects of the lifestyle that we had before.

1) What is education in times of pandemic?

This is a form of non-face-to-face education, that is to say, teachers and students don’t hold
meetings. This form of education is done through video calls or group chats between the
teacher and the students.

2) How does this education work?

This form of education works through online platforms, social networks, calls or messages.
Teachers and students use various means to keep in touch. This style of education can be
taught in various ways, but the most common are: 1) through video conferences (online
classes) and 2) distance classes (without video calls). In the first, the classes are through a
video call where the students and the teacher participate. In the second, virtual classes are
not held, but a group chat is used for the teacher and students to interact.

3) What should the teacher do in this form of education?

The professors must give the students the program of the course, so that everyone knows
the due dates of the activities they must carry out. In addition, they must also prepare the
content that will be explained to the students in each unit. The teacher can also send
guides, e-books or any material that helps students with their activities.

4) What should the student do in this form of education?

The student must keep aware of all the activities to be carried out, being responsible and
trying to deliver everything on time is crucial. It is important that the student take his time to
review the study material that the teacher sent him. Another thing that the student must do
is participate in the virtual classes or interact in the chat groups, it is necessary that the
students take full advantage of the virtual classes and the support materials that the
teachers give them.
5) Is this form of education complete, or are there still areas to improve?
This form of education is not complete; there are still many things that need to be improved.
There are many details that make this form of education difficult, problems in internet
service or the lack of this service can greatly complicate education in these times. Many
aspects of this form of education must be analyzed if an efficient teaching-learning process
is to be achieved.

Linkin Park – New divide

I remember black skies

The lightning all around me
I remember each flash
As time began to blur
Like a startling sign
That fate had finally found me
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason
To fill this hole
Connect this space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies
Across this new divide

There was nothing inside

The memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide
The ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in
Between where we were standing
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross
The distance in your eyes
Across this new divide

In every loss in every lie

In every truth that you deny
And each regret and each goodbye
Was a mistake too great to hide
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason
To prove me wrong
To wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross
The distance in your eyes
Give me reason
To fill this hole
Connect this space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies
Across this new divide
Across this new divide
Across this new divide
