PRESENTATION MUST ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ABOVE FOR ABOUT 3-5 MINUTES ONLY.
Identify respiratory and or
circulatory diseases / disorders
and its risk factors.
Examples of circulatory diseases i have gathered are:
Atherosclerosis, Heart Attack, and Aortic Aneurysms, as well
as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),
asthma, occupational lung diseases, and pulmonary
hypertension for respiratory diseases.

The circulatory and respiratory systems are intertwined in

many illnesses. Smoking is also a major contributor to the
development of circulatory and respiratory illnesses.
Tobacco contains toxic chemicals that can constrict and
damage blood vessels, increasing the risk of blood clots
thus creating impaired circulation. Other risk factors
include air pollution, occupational chemicals and dust, and
recurrent illnesses of the lower respiratory tract in infancy.
Explain how one's lifestyle can
affect the functioning of the
respiratory and circulatory
system.
A healthy lifestyle can help our respiratory and circulatory
systems function properly and protect us from diseases,
whereas an unhealthy lifestyle can make us vulnerable to
respiratory and circulatory disorders, weakening our
bodies and even causing death.

Appreciate the importance of a

healthy lifestyle in avoiding such
diseases / disorders.
When you live a Healthy Lifestyle, your body remains
healthy, and your mind stays intuitive and fresh. As a
result, you will be protected from a variety of serious
diseases and will be able to enjoy a healthy life to the
fullest.
Define and differentiate healthy from
unhealthy lifestyle and give examples of
each.
Healthy lifestyle is a way of living where the state of physical, emotional and
mental health is well. It is where a person feels active, positive, and in great
shape by doing certain activities and disciplining one’s mind not to be tempted
to do anything that could harm the human body that could lead to an illness or
even death. Some examples of these activities are:

Exercising
Proper intake of vitamins
Eating a balanced diet containing carbs, vegetables, and fruits
Playing games which includes locomotor movement skills
Sleeping early
Avoiding junk foods, cigarette smoking, drinking liquors, lazing around ,too
much screen time which gives radiation, sleeping late, and skipping meals

Unhealthy lifestyle on the other hand, is the opposite. This way of living can risk
people’s lives. These activities are great factors why a person develops illness.
Some of these are:
Being sedentary (lacking of physical activities)
Unhealthy eating
Cigarette smoking, drinking, late sleep schedule, too much screen time,
lacking of vitamin intake for the body
Discuss the central
message of your IPT,
why is this message
important to you and
to others.
My IPT portrays the activities to do and
avoid to achieve a healthy lifestyle and
avoid an unhealthy lifestyle. In order to
spread the word on how to avoid
harming our human system, especially
the vital pair, the circulatory and
respiratory system. I am promoting
healthy behavior with this poster.

This message is important to me as

well as the others, because without it,
we wouldn’t be aware of our doings.
We wouldn’t have the motivation to
change our way of living and achieve
our goals. This reminds us to limit
ourselves, and avoid temptations
