1. What do you mean honesty in a relationship?

Honesty is the quality of always speaking the truth and being totally authentic, straightforward,
and transparent in our words and actions. It involves a few key practices: never lying, never
hiding the truth, and never purposefully omitting or misdirecting people from the truth. Honesty
is the foundation for trust in a relationship, and trust is necessary for a relationship to function
and thrive. When you’re always honest with someone, it tells them that they can trust you and
the things you say. It helps them know they can believe your promises and commitments.

2. Why honesty is important in a RELATIONSHIP?

Being honest with your partner also facilitates healthy communication, which is also necessary
for a functional relationship. Couples need to be able to talk to each openly and be real with each
other; that’s what true connection is all about. That commitment to being honest also means that
both people will be proactive about addressing any tension, conflicts, or issues in the
relationship, bringing them up to their partner for discussion.

3. Is honesty is always as the best policy?

Yes, nobody wants someone on their life who chooses to be dishonest. Rather, we all want
someone we can trust, whether it’s with minor things or significant things. Honesty is the best
policy for the reason that without honesty, people wouldn’t be able to rely on you. The aspect
that builds trustworthy and reliable relationships has everything to do with honesty.
4. How to build more trust and honesty in a Relationship? Cite two examples for this
question?
 Value the relationships that you have and don’t take them for granted

Trust often results from consistency. We tend to have the most trust in people who are there for
us consistently through good times and bad. Regularly showing someone that you’re there for
them is an effective way to build trust.

 Always be honest

The message you convey should always, always be the truth. If you are caught telling a lie, no
matter how small, your trustworthiness will be diminished.

5. How to solve a relationship with unbroken promise?

 Talk it through

Without a doubt, the best way you can deal with broken promises between you and your partner
is to talk it through. Both of you need to have their opinions heard so that you can both know
each side of the story. It may be a tough conversation to have, but you both need to be aware of
your feelings so that you can come up with a proactive resolution to move forward.

 Forgive and forget

 People make mistakes during relationships, so it is important that you can forgive and
forget if your partner has made a promise that he or she has gone on to break. People who
are happiest in relationships are ones that have managed to let go of any ill will or
resentment that has built up in the past due to mistakes made by a partner.
 Have time apart

To help you forgive and forget, it can be helpful to have some time apart from one another. This
will not work for all couples, but for some people having time apart provides perspective on the
partnership as well as broken promises.

 Focus on spending time together

To make this tactic work, ensure that the time you are spending together is quality time. Switch
your phone off and don’t just watch TV. Really try to enjoy one another’s company.
