Moment of Panic

The squeezing, suffocating feeling, the moment of panic and fear that your about to lose
an important person you love…

I could only hear father’s voice. The loud noises were coming from the kitchen. He was
the one who’s screaming… It went on for more than an hour, it felt like it’s a violence irritating
and the sound of crashing sounds was in addition for this nightmare loop that kept on playing in
this house.

A day before that happened it started with a normal, repetitive Sunday morning. Mother
decided to dress up and go out with her old friends from school, because she don’t want to
decline the invitation this time, since she kept declining their invitation. She told the husband and
the daughter that she’s going out. The husband lying on the couch as always, didn’t seemed to be
too bothered about it, and the daughter was having a little relief that mother’s going out today so
she won’t be bugging her around this time and less noise would be caused.

But it is not how she thought the day would turn out…The day seem to past by really
quick, as sun goes down, the husband started to get anxious about his wife going out and not
coming home this late. Worrying if his wife’s cheating on him with another more reliable
wealthy man.
father had always been a irrational, hot headed and short tempered and an overreacted
man. He called the wife and ask if she’s staying there? Sarcastically, the wife replied “ no of
course not! I’m about to come home soon! I don’t want to be rude. Now then he waited and
waited til his patience goes low and it is his final straw. He called his wife again and told her
“hey don’t come home yet, I’m not doing so mad right now… again DON’T COME HOME
YET OR UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET HURT” Wife replied back with a laugh, thinking that
it was a joke and didn’t took it seriously, what are you?? MAD? “AUHAhaha” are you going
nuts or something?”.Husband furiously hangs up. And walked up the stairs, leaving the daughter
downstairs alone.

Time passes mother is back, she went the kitchen to cook something… a while later a
loud noise was coming from where mother was sitting. Daughter knew mother was gonna get
scold at anyway so she didn’t pay much attention and continue watching the TV. And suddenly
mother ran out the kitchen as the father kept hitting her. Mother was screaming and crying..for
her daughter’s help. The daughter was too stunned to speak, she could only break the fight.

Father threaten the wife to go to the dining table and SIT to “talk and clear things out”.
But the result wasn’t same as predicted. Mother got hit more, as horrified the scene was mother
got bruises on her face and she’s cried in desperate for help from ANYONE and gave the
daughter her phone. In the Moment of panic, the daughter quickly sprints out the house to call
for help from relatives. Sobbing but the abuses has no signs on stopping. Til then relatives had
arrived to help, then told the girl to go upstairs and rest.

The daughter cried during her shower time, was having a panic attack wether if it’s even
safe to stay in this household with this crazy person in the family… non stop tears kept running
down and still thinking about her father’s behaviors today. Then remembered something about it
“it is not that much of a surprised”…
