Short Introduction: I am a Physical Education teacher, I also train students to become an athlete
especially in martial art. I’m a second degree black belt in taekwondo, and as of now I focus in
Pencak Silat martial art as a trainer and coach in our Division; Iligan City

Would you please tell us how your education and past work experience would benefit the
community?

Teachers truly are the backbone of society. They are role models to children, offer guidance and
dedication and give young people the power of education. Because of teachers, countries are able
to further develop socially and economically. The role of a PE teacher is to be responsible for
planning, teaching and guiding children in a school setting. They teach a range of different sports,
and provide young people with an opportunity to develop and improve their social and physical
skills.

What is your definition of recreation?

Recreation is an activity of leisure, leisure being discretionary time. The "need to do something for
recreation" is an essential element of human biology and psychology. Recreational activities are
often done for enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure and are considered to be "fun".

What do you do in your leisure time?

During my vacant time, I go to fitness gym or sometimes I go biking in uphill alone.

What kind of volunteer experience do you have?

There are time that I volunteer or participated in cleaning or community its call “PAHINA” or went
to mangrove plant in coastal area.

How would you help ensure that the community participate in recreation activities and recognizes
activities and recognizes their importance?
Education is the key, therefore educate is the community about the benefits of recreational
activities, and to ensure that the community will participate we need a good management in
handle such activities.

What would a successful community recreation program look like to you?

As a Physical Education teacher, Sports activities will I suggest. It is Fun and for sure it will sell out
to our client which is the youth.

Scenario: Your community experiences a high rate of youth vandalism and crime. With limited
funds, how would you provide quality programs for these youth to minimize their destructive
behavior?

Conduct a sport events in the community with guidelines and policies. Sports that will divert their
destructive behavior to a positive and productive attitude. In term of funds, conduct a fund raising
to support the financial aspect and tap some stake holders.
