In today’s modern world of fast changing use of technology, teaching strategies in
education must involve the use of the different emerging innovations in teaching especially in the field of social science. Social Science teachers must develop different teaching innovations to respond effectively to the needs of the students. Teaching innovations in social science involves the presence of learning spaces where students are free to learn and enjoy with the use of new interactive technologies and digitalized teaching strategies that could surely improve their learning participation. Learning should not stop on the four corners of the classroom; learning must be a continuous process. Students nowadays were engaged to a variety of learning modalities especially online classes, where students could learn even they are at home, though there are some risk of lower interactive learning with the said learning modality but still it depends on the teaching innovations that was used by the teacher. The advancement of technology and information actuate the rapid changes and transformation in teaching method and the setting of the learning processes (Dunwill, 2016). In the study of Kozinski (2017), Gen Z students enjoy group discussions and highly interactive learning environment. For them, learning is without boundaries, they can learn anywhere and anytime and have unlimited access to new information. On top of that, the use of digital tools and online forums are recommended as they prefer them to be integrated in their learning process. Emerging innovations in teaching social science faces a great challenge for it is not easy to develop effective strategies to respond to the learning needs of the students. So as a social science teacher, it is in our hands how this innovations be worth it to the needs of our dear learners.
