Subject: Application for a study permit, (Re-apply)

Applicant Name: XXXXXXXX

UCI: XXXXXXXX
Application No: XXXXXXXXXX

Respected Sir/Madam,

First of all, I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Canadian High Commission for
allowing me the opportunity to voice my opinion regarding the rejection of my student visa
application. I am XXXXXXXX, a Syrian citizen with a bachelor's degree in hospitality
management from Pokhara Lincoln International College, Pokhara, Nepal. I had applied for a
study visa at the High Commission so that I may study hospitality and tourism operations
management at Fanshawe College in Canada for my postgraduate degree.  Before I explain
my justifications, I'd like to draw your attention to the refusal statement that outlined the
rationales for denial and would appreciate it if you took the time to thoroughly review my
justification.

“Given the applicant's previous education and/or employment history, I am not satisfied
that the motivation to pursue this particular program at this point in time in Canada is
reasonable.”

I'd like to start by briefly outlining my scholarly background. I believe that having a
bachelor's degree was insufficient for me to pursue my professional goals because it was
earned in a nation with a subpar educational system and insignificant practical exposure.
Despite having mastered the fundamentals of hotel administration, I was not given the
opportunity to capture the necessary hands-on training, and I refuse to be satisfied with my
minimal level of understanding. I believe that I haven't reached my peak performance level
and yearn to master the complex subtleties required for managing hospitality enterprises
effectively. I see this postgraduate degree as a platform to build upon my existing academic
experience and boost my efficiency. I'm sure that earning this post-graduate degree from
Canada over the course of two years will greatly leverage my profile and give me the
opportunity to land a sought-after position in the Nepalese hospitality sector.

Additionally, the paucity of challenges in my position as a junior chef attendant at the Big
Pillow Inn prevented me from blossoming to my true potential. I was unaware of the
management and administrative procedures because I spent the majority of my time serving
food to the guests. In my opinion, the Nepalese industry has several significant issues that
need to be rectified right away, yet the stakeholders are either unable or reluctant to do so.
Additional initiatives that allow complementary services to work together should be put in
place in order to better serve the client needs and improve the status of hospitality businesses
in Nepal. Despite holding a modest position, this experience gave me an insight of the
challenges the Nepalese hospitality industry is currently dealing with. This motivated me to
enhance my academic competencies in the required areas so that I could contribute to the
holistic development of Nepalese hospitality industry.

I am confident that my proposed post-graduate studies will provide a solid platform for
my professional success. The most crucial lesson I’ve taken away from my experience thus
far is that, while teamwork is important in any pursuit, it is the most basic determinant of
success in hospitality. I understand that effective teams do not just happen, and through my
studies and research in the program, I intend to gain a high degree of expertise in forming and
sustaining successful teams. In terms of my protracted aspirations, I would return to my
homeland and work for a major hotel chain, gaining skills and knowledge in a wide range of
hotel operations, particularly in the areas of event planning, marketing, finance, and branding
strategy, and eventually applying my knowledge and experience as a Hotel Manager. It is my
ambition to work as a key role player in challenging and creative environment, to be
influential in organization’s advancement, to realize my prospects and explore myself in
productive manner and thus prove myself to be an asset for the Nepalese hospitality industry.

The moment has come for commercial hospitality businesses to collaborate with non-profit
organizations and launch a variety of hospitality initiatives to aid the disadvantaged, disabled,
and oppressed individuals. The impoverished can find motivation through hospitality
training, which can help them look past the horizon of poverty and drive down the path to
prosperity. I would devote my life to bringing about such changes and working for the greater
good of society. Finally, I believe that Fanshawe’s lively learning community will provide
me with a unique educational experience, and my excitement in being a part of these endless
possibilities will continue unabated. Thus, I'm excited about the opportunity to pursue my
graduate studies in Canada. I sincerely hope that you were convinced by my explanations,
and I eagerly anticipate that you will provide me a springboard to excel in my personal and
professional life.

Your Sincerely
