Please take note that the amount being demanded by my client may change in the
future depending on your child’s needs.
I would also like to inform you that an unreasonable deprivation of your child’s
basic needs is a criminal act. It is considered as an act of child abuse as defined under
Sec. 3. b(3) of R.A. 7610, also known as Special Protection of Children Against Child
Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. It states:
"(b) "Child abuse" refers to the maltreatment, whether habitual or not, of the child
which includes any of the following:
(1) xxx

(3) Unreasonable deprivation of his basic needs for survival, such as food and
shelter;".
