Introduction
This guideline is established based on safe work procedure of the Samsung OHSMS: 2015.
Projects shall comply with this guideline when installing and making plans for safety
facilities or equipment
In the event of a conflict between the provisions of this guideline and local & client
regulations, projects shall make adjustments in accordance to projects’ specific situation
This guideline will be periodically reviewed based on the latest development in safety
technology and result of benchmarking or best practices.

If the depth of excavation is > 1.5m and the soil condition is weak shoring shall be
provided to protect it from collapse.
If there is a wet ground condition, accumulated water, and a traffic road nearby
having risk of collapsing trench, a timber shoring shall be installed.
If safe slopping is impossible timber shoring shall be provided to protect the

If boards are used for shoring, the width the boards shall be 1/3 or more of its
total length.
Trenches shall be regularly inspected by the competent person for their stability.

Application All activities and jobs required temporary or permanent electrical supply
Before starting any arc welding operation, you should inspect all equipment
Keep electrode holder and cable insulation in good condition
Installation & Keep a fire extinguisher in the welding area
Maintenance If it is raining, stop the welding work which has no other protection method
available to keep the rain away and to remove the smoke.
