ACTIVITY 1: Reflection

Vision

“A leading technology-driven university is responsive to the development needs of

changing societies”

The university's vision defines its purpose for the students. It also emphasizes
the shared values that have been given to future professionals in order to define their
beliefs and perspectives in life. Specifically, it focuses on what developmental needs
do the community and society needed. As time goes by, societies have changed and
adapted to new cultures, traditions, technologies, and learnings that is why, as we
continue developing new ideas, we can adapt easily and be flexible for the changing
world. The vision also states the type of university we have and what is the main
focus or target of our school. A technology-driven school that is adaptable to the
undeniable changing world as the future professionals dive right into it and adapt to
the changes happening in our world. As we are trained to be flexible, especially
adapting to new technologies, we can be as reliable as we can.

The vision statement emphasizes the future outcome of the school, as well as
the people who belong to it. It gives direction for us students, workers, and
professors to pursue what we have started and achieve our dreams with the
adaptation of new technologies. Each member of the university, student, professor,
head, and other workers are expected to give their best in doing tasks and activities
so that the people are productive and nurturing themselves to new possibilities,
skills, abilities, and knowledge that we have. From the aspects of the students, we
are required to help ourselves in focusing and training the skills that we have,
improve our character build-up and introduce our new selves into an innovative
changing world. As the professors and other heads of the university, they are also
expected to do their best in helping us students increase our knowledge and train
ourselves. While they are also helping themselves to be a better person.
 As I understand the meaning and purpose of the vision statement, it helped
me realize that we all have a purpose in life. We are living not only for others but also
for ourselves too. We need to practically help one another and help ourselves to
stand up and move forward as we adapt to the new changes in our world and adapt
the skills we aiming for. A technology-driven school that focuses mostly on
technologies can help us to change ourselves into better people and a well-trained
future professionals. I am happy for realizing this so much because all we know for
our lives is giving our best to people who are very important to us. Imagining after we
graduate and achieve our main goals in life, we will help our own family, as well as
the societies in adapting in the new world of technologies.

Mission

“To develop globally competitive and socially responsible professionals through

technology-driven instructions, innovative researches, sustainable extension
programs that will enhance the lives of people in the communities”

The concept of RTU's mission is to improve the skills and abilities of future
professionals that are remarkably identified with the use of innovative technologies
and processes, effective programs, and high-performing instructors that will help the
future professionals use it for the betterment of the community. This will include the
character, knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to maintain and improve excellent
performance for the chosen fields.

As I read the university mission, all I can say is, it deepens the perspectives
of students, as well as, the people who also read the university mission. RTU's
mission simply dictates what the university offer to the future professional that can be
used for their future career. In developing the skills and character, and improving the
knowledge and perception of each student, the community will be enhanced and
gain more satisfactory achievements as the students or future professionals achieve
their goals and objectives in life. We all know that the learners are the future hopes
of this country. That is why training them and nurturing them can be a great help to
achieve the dreams of students and also the aims of this community.

I am glad to say that I have chosen the right path because this school has a
dream for me. The dream of the school for every student is a strong foothold to
create my dreams for myself and for the country. I felt amazed and thankful because
RTU gives me an opportunity to enhance my skills and knowledge which I can use
for future plans and career. I also just realized that RTU has its own mission to help
me and encourage me that nothing is impossible if hard work is my first action in achieving
my goals in life.

RTU Goals

-Boost RTU as an academic institution

-Improve workforce management”

Setting goals is important, especially for the students who have so many tasks
and responsibilities. University’s Goal is to help future professionals to achieve the
dreams they want to be. And as the Rizal Technological University is a technology
based of academic programs, it can assure that students will improve and develop
skills in researching and innovating forms of ideas which will be used for the future
community. Implementing new ideas in order to build connections and partnerships
for the future opportunities is one of the goals that the school is trying to portray.

Having an improved workforce management which is the university’s staff and

other course professors has need to develop their skills in order to help the students
in learning and improving their own skills. A well skilled employees of the school can
nurture the future professionals up to the skills they have to a well performing
professionals. The school is categorized as a well-known state university but
boosting it up into one of the high performing academic institution, is remarkably
greatness for the school and its people in it. It was a great pleasure to know that the
university’s goals have to do with the future of the students.

As the school continue to improve and develop, the goals that have set will
surely attain. It will also help the future professionals to achieve their own dreams as
they continue to strive from the challenges they are facing. A technological school
which nurture the skills and abilities of every students is a well functional university.

RTU Objectives

“To help improve the quality of the life, reduce poverty incidence and sustain
development gains among community youths, the unemployed adults, marginalized,
underserved, and underprivileged. The RTU extension services will conduct relevant
and responsive extension and community outreach programs and activities

To provide educational services to the community and to equip them with

necessary knowledge, skills, and value for responsible participation in personal and
national development;

To provide leadership in the generation, verification, and maximization of

technology transfer for the benefit of the community and RTU; and

To institutionalize a meaningful interplay among instruction. research, and

extension functions through coordination of extension activities of the various
colleges, departments, and units of the university.”

The improved quality of life is a great way to reduce the number of poverty in our
country and help in creating new inventions that can be used for the future. Our
country waits for the future professionals who will lead our community. The university
offers an extensive program for the student which they will enhance their character,
skill attributes and knowledge to use it in helping other people, specifically, the
implementation of outreach programs, which the university also focuses in order to
help the people who is in need.

Educational services is another objectives of the school in which they will serve the
community by offering a high quality education for the young learners to train and
share the knowledge they have. With a well performing students, who are trained,
has values and integrity, knowledge, and abilities that can be used for the students
future career responsible with the personal and national development
It is remarkably outrageous that the university offers such programs in which we can
explore our skills, improve and develop new characteristics and values as we
attained the personal achievement. Students will be the university’s pride as we go
along and do our best to attain the objectives of the school but also, for our
objectives, too. As we develop the skills and knowledge we have, we are potentially
proven that we can be the future leaders of our country. We can attain what is the
goals and objectives of the country in which we can help and improve the economy
of the community and the country. As I go through the university’s objectives, I
realized that I’ve given a chance to prove to everyone that I can do anything just to
do my very best and believe what the university will do to us students. It is potentially
that we, future professionals and leaders can grow on ourselves with the help of the
university.
