of colonialism – this time instead
of invading with armies, rich
countries invade with
multinationals. The outcome is the
same: The poor suffer, and the rich
get richer.
The only difference between
colonialism and globalisation is
that people have been
brainwashed by TV, news and
movies to believe being exploited is
a good thing…
Poor countries provide the source
of raw materials, the labour, the
markets, and the environments to
be polluted - but receive few of the
benefits of globalisation.
The accumulation
of wealth is a
pathological
condition.
Consumerism is a way of
brainwashing you into
buying the latest
products – so that big
business can make higher
profits…
Globalisation treats people
exactly like we treat their
products – like cheap and
disposable soulless things.
All in the name of making a
profit.
Because of subsidies,
trade quotas and unfair
trade, poor countries will
never benefit from
globalised world trade.
Consumers are being
brainwashed from an
early age to be good little
consumers.
The easiest way to make a
profit is to locate a factory
In a country where
environment laws are lax.
You can then make a huge
profit and leave them with
the problem.
