Good morning to the respected chief guest, principal, teachers, and my dear friends

who assembled here to celebrate Children's Day.

Children's Day is celebrated on October 1st in Sri Lanka and Universal Children's
Day is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness
and awareness among children worldwide.

Children's Day is very important to be celebrated every year to make people aware
of the importance of children in the country and the real situation, along with
improvement to make bright future of children as they are the future of the
country.
Children's Day celebration provides the opportunity for everyone, especially for
neglected children in the county.

This day is very important in the life of a child, who reminds the elders about
their duties and responsibilities towards children and makes them think about their
children's future.

One of the main reasons behind observing Children's Day is that people can also be
made aware of children's rights and good upbringing because they are the real
future of the country.
Therefore, everyone should understand their responsibility towards children, so
that the real meaning of Children's Day can be meaningful.

I am very happy to get this opportunity to speak a few words on this important
occasion.
