STUDENT INFORMATION SHEET

1. Assembly time every Friday is 1500H. Only a 5-minute grace period is given to
cadets to join before they are considered late. Class A demerits will be given if no
valid reason is presented to the company commander.
2. Cadets must always have their SOP Kit consisting of a black notebook, black
ballpen, red ballpen, and rosary.
3. The cadets must always wear a plain white shirt that is tucked in maong pants every
training day. Male cadets must have a proper 2x3 haircut and female cadets must
have their hair in a french braid. Unnatural hair color and make-up are not allowed,
appropriate demerits will be given.
4. When contacting the officers for CAT-related concerns, always start and end your
message with a sir or ma’am. Refrain from contacting the officers after 1800H.
5. All announcements will be posted either in MS Teams, Facebook, or Messenger.
ALWAYS be updated.
6. A cadet can only have 7 UNEXCUSED absences for the whole school year. Once a
cadet exceeds this number, he/she is automatically DROPPED from the list of active
cadets and will receive a 70% or FAILED remark.
7. Cadets must submit their excuse letters 3 DAYS BEFORE the training day to their
respective platoon leaders. It must be signed by the prefect of discipline, class
adviser, and parent. If there are emergency or unanticipated situations, present your
excuse letter A DAY AFTER. Platoon leaders will not accept any excuse letters
presented DURING the meeting unless signed by the JHS Principal.
8. If a cadet is late, he/she must report or chat to their respective company commander
about their reason before joining their platoon.
9. Make-up training can be done for cadets who miss a specific training day. But, this is
not guaranteed because of the schedules of officers.
10. Every cadet is given 25 merits per quarter. For every breach of conduct, appropriate
demerits will be given that will be subtracted from the merits per quarter.
11. PCC CAT-U Grading System: Attendance-30%, Military Aptitude 30%, and Subject
Proficiency-40%
12. Attendance: Attendance of the cadet every training day
13. Military Aptitude: merits and demerits every quarter
14. Subject Proficiency: Quizzes, ELAS, Recitation, Activity Sheets, Practical Test, and
Written Exam
15. For the exemption from the training, present your valid proof to your platoon leader.
Foreign Citizen: passport or birth certificate, Boy Scout: certificate with your rank, Girl
Scout: badges and certificate
16. This is a REQUIRED course for all Grade 10 students, cadets cannot graduate
without completing and passing this course.
17. DEMERITS
A. Class A
● Having discourse with the Commandant
● Assaulting or guising a cadet officer
● Forgery of a parent’s or cadet officer’s signature
● Recording or photographing a cadet officer without their consent
● Threatening, provoking, or forcing any cadet officer
● Unexcused absences and malingering
● Cheating
● Violation of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), Instruction
● Tardiness
● Plagiarism
● Committing similar conduct from the aforementioned offenses of this
category
B. Class B
● Disrespecting or being ill-mannered toward a cadet officer or fellow
cadets
● Talking back to a cadet officer in a disrespectful manner
● Being dishonest to a cadet officer
● Unnecessary actions during training
● Disruption of classes
● Violation of dress code
● Failure of submitting written works and other CAT-related documents
on or before the deadline
● Committing a similar act from the aforementioned offenses in this
category
C. Class C
● Improper bearing
● Inattentiveness in classes
● Improper address to cadet officers
● Off camera (exemption for students with excuse letters)
● Irrelevant messages in the meeting chat
● Being unresponsive to a cadet officer
● Committing a similar act from the aforementioned offenses in the
category
