The purpose of this manual is to guide you through the registration procedure for Graduation 2018
and other information.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION

1. Log on to www.graduation.kct.ac.in

2. Enter your Roll No. and Date of Birth

3. Enter your contact address, mobile no., email ID

4. Limit to 2 guests, for extra passes contact Help Desk

FAQ’s

My name is spelled incorrectly, what should I do?

You can send a request mail to graduation@kct.ac.in or contact Graduation 2018 Help desk. We
will try our best to contact the University and do the needful.

What happens if I cannot attend the function on the specified date? Can I collect it later?

Graduation function is an ecstatic occasion to celebrate your academic accomplishments. So we


recommend all graduands to attend the graduation 2018 function. But due to unavoidable reasons,
if you cannot attend the graduation function, then the certificate can be collected from the office
of the CoE on any working day either by you or by your parents after producing an ID proof along
with an undertaking signed by you.

How do I book my registration pass?

Book your registration pass online at http://graduation.kct.ac.in and show the SMS received to
the registration counter. All graduands who have successfully applied for the pass should shortly
be receiving an email / SMS confirming their pass allocation, function date and time.

Is there a deadline for online registration?

Certainly, the deadline to apply for the pass for the Graduation 2018 Function is 11 July 2018
- 12noon.

How many guests are allowed?

You can bring two guests with your registration pass.

Can I bring extra guests?

Availability of extra tickets is determined by the number of graduands attending the function. The
number of people who can be accommodated in the auditorium is limited and cannot exceed its
capacity. However, the organizing team will do its best to ensure availability of extra tickets. For
details contact help desk.

I / My guests have special needs, how can they be accommodated?

If you or any of your guests have any special requirements that you feel we should be aware of,
please contact Graduation 2018 help desk at the earliest so that we can make the appropriate
arrangements for you.

Can I bring children to the function?

We do not recommend bringing young children to Graduation function as it is long and formal
occasion. However, separate seating is arranged outside the auditorium with audio & video facility.

Is parking available?

Yes. Separate parking facilitiy for the graduation function is arranged inside the campus.

Where will I be seated at the function? Are the seats allocated?

You will be ushered to your seats prior to the event by a staff member or a student representative.
The seats are allocated for the graduands.

Will I be seated with my guests?

No. Graduands will be seated in a designated area in front of the stage. After the academic
procession returns, you will be free to mingle with friends, family and staff and celebrate your
achievement.

Where do I collect robes?

You can collect your robe at the Registration Counter. A deposit of `500 will be collected of which
`60 will be the rent cost of the robe for UG and `90 for PG. On returning the robe, the remaining
amount will be repaid.

What should I wear for the function?

Graduation is a formal occasion and you are requested to be in a formal attire. For gents, we
suggest dark pant, light shirt, black shoes and for ladies saree or churidhar (avoid leggings).

Are cameras and video recorders allowed at the Graduation function?

No. Please avoid using your personal cameras and camcorders inside the auditorium. Professionals
will photograph and it will be updated in the social media and the individual photos of each student
receiving the degree will be sent to your personal mail id within 48 hours.

Will graduands be photographed as they cross the stage?

The contracted professional photographer will cover each student as they cross the stage and
receive the degree from the Chief Guest. After the graduation, the photo will be sent to your
email ID.

Can I opt for a studio photograph?

Yes. Studios for professional portrait settings are available in campus, either individually or together
with family members. You can avail this paid service after the graduation function.

How long is the function?

The actual function lasts for 5 hours which includes lunch.

Will there be a rehearsal?

Certainly. We appreciate your compulsory attendance for the rehearsal to ensure that the graduation
ceremony is conducted professionally.

What should you do first when you arrive college?

When you arrive please visit the registration counter. You can collect the robes and the kit containing
food pass, guest pass, etc., at the registration counter. Student representatives will guide you and
your guests to the respective seats.

What happens if I am late for my ceremony?

You must arrive at the mentioned time for your ceremony. Please note your ceremony will start at
the time indicated in the correspondence you receive. Remember, graduation is a formal ceremony
and so late comers cannot be admitted.

Can you recommend a hotel/travel agent/cab?

The list of hotels / travel related details are shared in the Gradutaion Day Procedure booklet through
mail or contact help desk.

Are refreshments arranged for the graduands and guests?

Yes. The graduation function is followed by lunch for graduands and guests. You can also avail
canteen and mess facilities on campus. For graduands receiving degree in session-2 lunch
precedes the graduation function.
