4. How to join BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp
1. Preparation
Please prepare with your parents while reading “Zoom settings for BRIDGE Virtual Summer
Camp and Zoom Connecting Test Day”.
- Download “Zoom Client for Meetings” application on your PC that you are going to use for
BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp (BVSC).
(1) Open the Zoom desktop client (the Zoom application) and sign in.
Please DO NOT sign in Zoom from the Internet Browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, Internet
Explorer, etc.)You CANNOT join in BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp via Internet Browser
even if you sign in Zoom correctly.

If you see this window, Please click “Sign in”.
*If you have several Zoom Accounts, Please make sure
to sign out from all the accounts first.

Please enter your sign-in e-mail address that you
submitted to APCC as your Zoom Account e-mail address.
Then, enter your password.

After sign in, click button “join”
and then enter the meeting ID
and your display name.

Please refer to the “Contents” page of this guidebook.
【Display Name】
Please enter your display name like below.
[ Group number – your first name or nickname (your country / region)]
(5) After entering the Zoom meeting, set up to “Mute” and “Start Video”. Recommend to
change the video layout from “Speaker view” to “Gallery view”.
(6) If you see the below window, your Zoom e-mail address
is not registered as a BVSC participant’s ID!!
Please go back to (3) and check if you enter the e-mail
address you informed APCC.
If you cannot join in the meeting room despite you are doing
everything in the right way, please contact with your Chaperon!
Notes
・Please do not use “Virtual Backgrounds (including Blur)” for operational issues.
・If you have any technical problems with your speakers or microphones, please consult with
your parents / guardians on how to solve it.
・If you can’t join the Zoom meeting on Day 2-4, please contact your Chaperon.
・Sometimes the screen may freeze or you may automatically sign out (the Zoom meeting screen
might shut down). When that happens, please sign in again from the first step and rejoin the
Zoom Meeting.

5. About Doors+ (APCC’s Original Online Database)
*When you get message or friend request in Doors, you will receive a notification email to your
Door+ registered email address. So please check it regularly
You can see how much time you have spent for APCC/BC(=BRIDGE CLUB) activities as
“OMOIYARI Point” (1minute = 1 OMOIYARI Point). You can gain points by taking part in official
APCC program, registered volunteer meeting, registered BC event etc. And only you can see
details of your own OMOIYARI points. The total points of everyone’s OMOIYARI point is displayed
in the front page of Doors+. You can get OMOIYARI point for BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp
after all of the programs. (And, you must have a lot of OMOIYARI points to be a Peace
Ambassador or BCIO member in the future.)

you don’t know your friend’s name spell
4. You will see the names of people who meet all of the conditions. Find the name which
you want to be friend, and then click “Request Friend”.
5. After the friend accept your request, you can exchange messages each other
This year, All JAs and FUKUOKA KIDS of BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp are already
“Friends” on Door+ for some communication activities in the program, so they can send a
text message each other without sending or accepting “Friend Request”.

Important Note
・You CANNOT delete a message or a file once you send it to the chat page. Please check
them carefully before you send them.
・You can send a file of photos, images, videos, documents (word, excel, PowerPoint) as well.
・Do NOT write your personal information in detail.
・Do NOT write any words which make other people feel bad or uncomfortable.

6. Communication Activity “TSUNAGARU”
“TSUNAGARU” is one of the activities that JAs and FUKUOKA KIDS will do in BRIDGE Virtual
Summer Camp. The word “TSUNAGARU” means “To be connected” in Japanese language.
This activity aims to get JAs and FUKUOKA KIDS to connect with other participants who join
BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp and enjoy communicating with them.
Please try to connect with other participants of BRIDGE Virtual Summer Camp and communicate
with them. If you have no idea what to ask your friends, we have some tasks for the participants.
When you join in “TSUNAGARU” activity, please keep the following rules.
・When you try “TSUNAGARU” with Doors+, please do not spend too much time for the Internet.
・”TSUNAGARU” is not a competition. Please do not put pressure on your friends to send a reply.
・You do not have to send a reply all of your friends if you receive so many messages. Please
don't push yourself too hard!
・Please understand some friends may be too busy to send a reply. Please do not expect too
much and take it easy!
