When approach to stall stop to exist slat moves from FULL EXT to MID SEALED position
2 independent stall warn sys gives input to auto slat, stick shaker, stall warn and stick pusher
STICK PUSHER activates 6sec after stall light and horn only when slat in MID SEALED or FULL EXT position.
STICK SHAKER activates 10% above V stall
3000 psi HYD power for augmentation Active when control tab displaced >10° A/C nose down relative to elevator
When spoiler lever in stowed position & spoiler deployed >10° on ground, SPOILER DEPLOYED light illuminates
Takeoff warning when:
 Throttles advanced for T/O and flap/slat handle in agreement with flap value window or
 Horizontal stabilizer not set within green band for long trim indicator or
 The slats not extended or
 Spoiler handle not in retract detent or
 Parking brake set
Runaway stabilizer when A/P moves stabilizer 2° or more in less than 30 sec

 Yaw damper in OFF = engaged when autopilot engaged

 Nose and engine strakes provide longitudinal control

 Slat self test on ground. MID-EXT-MID

 Air supply switch (OFF-HP BLEED OFF 8th-AUTO) controls:
o Augmentation valve
o Aircon press regulating valve
o Aircon flow regulation vale MAX FL with one press system inop is FL 250
 Augmentation operates by signals from:
o Pressure sensor for air conditioning
o Temp sensor for anti ice system
 Air cond colder position chosen when supply not sufficient
 OAT <24°C = APU air set to ON (only one pack can be used)
 OAT>24°C = APU air set to AIR COND COLDER (both packs can be used)
 Cabin Temp regulated by temp control valve
 Cabin air recycled in AIR. On ground Fan will not be operative
 Butterfly (big changes. operative on ground only) & nozzle outflow valve (small changes) mechanically connected.
 FLOW light on when no sufficient aircon flow available or cabin leak
 RAM AIR VALVE can bet switched ON if both packs unserviceable for air-conditioning
 If pressurized after landing GROUND CONTROL RELAY sends a signal for controlled depressurization for 20 sec

10. Ice & Rain


Ice protection pressure regulator valve regulates pressure from pneumatic manifold to 21psi
Airfoil anti ice only operational ground control relay in flight mode
Tail de-ice cycle for 2.5min (150sec)
ICE PROT TEMP LOW when no sufficient temp for anti ice system
ICE PROT TEMP HIGH + Master warn when temp to high for anti ice system
ANTI ICE SUPPLY HIGH + Master warn when to high press feed into anti ice pneumatic system
AIRFL ICE PRESS ABNML + Master warn
8ththstage bleed for nose bullet, PT2and inlet guide vanes
13 stage bleed for inlet cowlings (jet pump mixes hot air with air for overheat protection)
ENG VALVE ON during valve movement
In case of elect failure valves stays in last selected position
Airfoil anti ice must be ON when flying in <6°C RAT. No airfoil anti ice >10ºC OAT
Wing heaters divided into 3 zones and operational on ground only
WING HEAT ON indicates operation of wing heaters (12kw for operation)(galley power auto turned off)
ICE FOD ALERT & ICE FOD INOP operative 20sec after land, Self testing for 2.5min and lights flash 6 times
MAX 315 knots bellow 10.000 feet if one windshield heat inoperative

EPR sync in operation when: VOR TRK if within ±2 dots
 A/T engaged (≥1.4 EPR or 80% N2) If not a new VOR set after the
 ENG sync switch in OFF position cone of confusion within 3 min
 EPR > 1.1 basic HDG HLD mode will engage
