2 Operating louver in pump room appear operational
3 Pump suction, discharge, and bypass valves are open
4 No leaks in piping or hoses
5 Fire pump leaking one drop of water per second at seals

8 Wet pit suction screens are unobstructed and in place

10 Water flow test valves are in the closed position
11 Controller pilot light (power on) is illuminated
12 Transfer switch normal, power lights illuminated

4 Check exhaust system clearance to combustibles to prevent fire hazards.
5 Check battery terminals to ensure they are clean and tight.
6 Check electrical wiring for chafing where subject to movement.
7 Check operation of safety devices and alarms.

1 Inspect flexible exhaust section of diesel exhaust piping.
2 Examine wire insulation for breaks, cracks or chafing.
TESTING
1 Test antifreeze level. (if applicable)
2 Test all safeties and alarms for proper operation.
3 Operate manual starting means.
4 Operate safety devices and alarms.
MAINTENANCE
1 Clean boxes, panels and cabinets.
2 Clean strainer.
3 Clean dirt leg.
4 Clean crankcase breather.
5 Clean and tighten battery terminals.
6 Clean water strainer of cooling system.
