It is to bring to your kind notice that in the above-referred meeting we had a discussion about site
constraints in implementing a few of the provisions of CA and additional provisions required as per
site conditions. Details of the same is described below:
As per CA, between km 214 and km 216 service road and reinforced earth (RE) wall are provided as
under:
Merging of slip road (Exit arrangement) at main carriageway Km 213+890 observed with an
embankment depth of around 6.0m as per the vertical design requirement of minor bridge Km
213+855, where the available space is around 1.5m between available ROW and main carriageway
shoulder edge. Moreover, the proposed alignment is best fitted within the available ROW as per CA
proposed design speed of 100Kmph.
At this location, additional land of 10.5m considering an embankment slope of 1v:2h for a length of
210m (Km 213+890 to Km 214+100). alternatively, a retaining wall/reinforced wall is proposed to
restrict the earthwork within the available ROW and additional land shall be avoided.
As per CA clause 2.11, the provision for RE wall/ retaining wall between Km 213+890 and Km
214+100 is not considered, even though the embankment depth based on CA profile at this location
is similar to the proposed profile. Hence, we request to consider the proposed reinforced wall at the
location between Km 213+890 to Km 214+100 (Length=210m) as a change of scope.
