1. What are the key roles of the restaurant manager?


Ans:

i. To provide outstanding quality in service and cleanliness.


ii. Maintaining their existing staff personnel because they are the most valuable asset
to managers, ensuring they are productive, and motivating them on a continuous
basis.
iii. Track employee performance, coach, and engage in personal development.
iv. Making them feel good about their work and what they're doing.
v. Giving them the resources they genuinely require to advance In order to guarantee
that their customers receive the best service possible, MacDonald's offers free
national qualification training and courses to all of its employees.
vi. As a restaurant manager, you have to make sure that the projects that come out of
your kitchen are of the highest quality and that your customers are satisfied. Ensure
that food delivered to consumers meets McDonald's quality and taste standards.
vii. Hiring the right people (as HR) identifies those people and identifies those traits in
passionate and real candidates that will attract people in the business category.
viii. Working with an organizational restructuring expert to understand the business and
improve areas that are often overlooked in day-to-day operations.

2. What are some of the Mintzberg's managerial roles that the restaurant manager
plays?
Ans:
i. Leader: The manager of McDonald's is a leader because he is involved in every
aspect of the business.
ii. Liaison: The manager manages the team very well, helps improve performance and
makes sure all employees feel comfortable in the work environment.
iii. Monitor: The manager keeps a systematic eye on the entire McDonald's store, pays
attention to even the smallest details, and ensures that quality is maintained.
iv. Spokesperson - As a manager, you communicate internal issues with managing the
store to higher authorities and to your team back and forth. You also inform your
customers of your goals for them in the near future.
v. Entrepreneur - He makes the necessary decisions regarding his personnel or
products, and the management decides how to put a strategy into action and come
up with fresh ideas.
vi. Disturbance handler - The manager deals with regular annoyances and finds
solutions, such as how to boost sales or cut down on customer wait times.
vii. Negotiator - He engages in negotiations with industry professionals and makes use of
