 - All-staff in-service begins the week of August 8th. After staff members have become familiar with their campus, a two-hour long
training session will take place with the Student Resource Officer on campus regarding school safety information/protocol.
- The first fire drill will take place on Monday the 29th during 1st hour. Every subsequent fire drill will take place during a different
August class period, so teachers and students experience variance in the evacuations. The drills will also take place with 20 minutes left of
class, so teachers are not having their instruction time split.
2022 - Drill debriefs will take place between administration and the Student Resource Officer each morning at 7:00am following a drill.
Topics of conversation will include completion time and areas of concern. All adjustments/positives will be
communicated with staff through an email the day after the drill.

 - All staff will be trained, along with the transportation department employees, on how to conduct a full school
evacuation to an off-site assembly area. Principal and Student Resource Officer will be leading this training, discussing
September roles and responsibilities of staff members, pick-up locations, off-site locations, routes, and parental contact procedures.
This drill will take place early in the school year so students are knowledgeable of safety protocol throughout the entire
2022 year.
- This month’s fire drill will take place during 2nd hour. Staff will stand in the doorways of the cafeteria simulating a fire
in that area. Students and staff will have to avoid this area during evacuation.

 - This month’s fire drill will take place during 3rd hour, right before first lunch. This fire drill will simulate the portables
October in the back of the school being on fire. This eliminates several evacuation locations for teachers and students.
- This month will contain the first quarterly lockdown drill for the year. This will be a “soft” lockdown drill in which
2022 there is not an active shooter on campus, but one has been reported in the surrounding area.

 - The fire drill on the 21st will be taking place while lunch A is in progress. These students will be evacuating the building
November from the lunchroom, a new experience for most students. This will be towards the end of lunch, so students will have
already eaten and disposed of their garbage.
2022 - The 2nd lockdown drill of the year will be taking place during passing time. The scenario places a potential active
shooter in the parking lot, and students are not organized into classes at the moment.

 December - This month’s fire drill will be taking place earlier in the month to avoid interrupting final exam review and the exams
themselves which take place during the week of the 19th. This will also be taking place during 4th hour, but this time
2022 during lunch B so the remaining student population will gain experience evacuating from the lunchroom.

 January - This month’s fire drill will be taking place during passing time instead of while students are in a class. Teachers will be
aware so they can help guide traffic and organize students. Students will also be aware of this first drill so that their
2023 first experience with this type of evacuation is relatively organized and they will know where to go.

March drill should have trained students to find their homeroom teacher at a designated location if they are not currently in a
class.
2023 - The 3rd lockdown drill of the year will be taking place during first hour. A disgruntled parent is approaching the office,
claiming to be armed, and they want to confront a student who is supposedly bullying their child.

 - This month’s fire drill will be taking place during the last hour of the school day. After this drill, all students will have
April completed a fire drill from each of their class periods. The drill will also take place at the start of this hour so students
do not try to leave campus during the drill to end their day early.
2023 - This final lockdown drill will simulate an active shooter inside the school, roaming the hallways. Staff will go through
the halls, attempting to open doors/persuade students or staff members to let them in.

 May - This month’s fire drill will be completed during a spring sports pep assembly. Throughout the year, students
participate in pep-assembly for sports, so this is a relevant event for students to have experience with regarding an
