Each session had four major components: a lecture, a demonstration, a hands-on activity for
participants, and a question and answer segment. During the lecture, the trainers show their
PowerPoint presentation so that participants can visualize and follow the discussion. The
demonstration phase occurs when the trainers demonstrate in real-time how their respective
topics, such as improving students' critical and analytical skills, work in practice.

Participants are then divided into groups to develop a short syllabus that will help engage
students in critical thinking. Participants are then asked to present their output to the plenary and
share their task-completion experiences, learning insights, and challenges. Furthermore, during
this time, participants sought clarification on new concepts introduced to them as well as advice
on what-if scenarios or situations that they might face in actual practice.

The technical issues that occurred on the first day were caused by a problem with the
microphone cable and inconsistent sound produced by the sound system, but the AdZU ForTe
Tech Support Team ensured that it would not happen again in the following days of the Inset and
that the sessions are well documented to allow participants to evaluate the sessions posted on the
AdZu Forte page that is only accessible by faculty members of the Ateneo.

The trainers also share the presentation slides and other materials, which are collected in a
Google drive that participants can access for reference. Furthermore, it has been agreed that the
various departments will function as professional learning communities (PLC) to support,
enhance, and sustain the application of the pedagogical and technological concepts and processes
learned during the various training sessions with the default PLC leaders with the department
chairs.
