Forming your theater group

First of all, decide who are you going to work with. You can work with as many classmates as you
want. The important thing is that everyone has a clear and specific role participating in the play.

How to start
The first thing your group needs to start with is a deadline to get everything done by. The group has
to decide deadlines for every part of the play, until the day of the performance.

Adapting the play

Think of a story that you would like to adapt and perform. It can be a stage play that you already
developed in another subject or a whole new one, if you decide.
Then, think of an outline for the plot. Propose your ideas for the story, the characters, the costumes
and the stage design

Tercera Etapa: DESARROLLO DE LA HABILIDAD

Actividades Skill development
Preparing the dialogues, the script and deciding the roles
After deciding the play that you are going to perform and the members of your group, it is now time
to prepare the script and the dialogues. The main purpose here is that you as a group write a very
organized outline of the script, specifying also the role and the dialogues that each member of the
group is going to play out.
If you are going to translate the dialogues from Spanish pay attention if there are any expressions
that can’t be translated literally and also make sure that the dialogues make sense. When you have
everything ready show the script to your teacher to check out if it is necessary to make any corrections
before you start recording your play.

Practice, practice, practice

After deciding on the roles, it is important to make sure that everyone start working on their parts.
Take the time to prepare the play, being responsible with the deadlines that your group set.
