Dear Ms. Seraily:

IH Services, Inc. is pleased to provide this price proposal to perform a pre-alteration asbestos-
containing materials survey for Camelback Village Condominium located in Olney, Maryland (Site)
on behalf of Metropolis Condominium Management, Inc. (Client). The project includes the
assessment of the Site for suspect asbestos-containing materials at 3226 Spartan Road, Unit 49, 52,
and 55 along with 3210 Spartan Road, Unit 10 and 12.

PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK

Pre-alteration Survey for Hazardous & Regulated Materials


Asbestos: The pre-alteration survey will include an inspection and quantification of suspect,
accessible asbestos-containing materials and shall be performed by a United States Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA)-trained and Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE)-accredited
Asbestos Inspector. All accessible suspect friable and non-friable Asbestos-containing Materials
(ACMs) will be sampled in accordance with EPA recommended protocols. For budgeting purposes,
we have assumed no more than 50 asbestos samples (10 per unit) will be collected from the Site;
however, data gap analysis may result in the collection fewer samples. Collected bulk samples will
be analyzed using polarized light microscopy (PLM) methods (EPA 600/R-93/116). Sample results,
quantities, sample locations, and recommendations will be documented in the report. All asbestos
samples will be submitted to an independent, third-party laboratory actively participating in the
National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for asbestos content in bulk
materials.

ASSUMPTIONS

IH Services, Inc. has prepared the Scope of Work and cost estimate for this proposal based on the
following assumptions:
• IH Services will be provided with adequate access to the property during the scheduled
period of work to be performed.
• All asbestos samples will be analyzed on a standard turn-around-time (3- days).
• No remediation, abatement, or removal of any materials will be completed as part of this
assessment.

COST PROPOSAL
The above scope of work is proposed to be completed in accordance with the following unit rates on a
Time and Materials basis:
