Teaching Points:-
 Appreciate the beauty of nature.
 Understand the difference between different kinds of birds (shapes, sizes,
colors, beaks and the sounds they make).
 Understand differences and disabilities existing in nature.

Objectives:-
Cognitive
 To recite the poem with proper pause, pronunciation and voice
modulation.
 To describe various kinds of birds.
Affective
 To appreciate the importance of creatures in nature.
 To develop a sense of care and love for birds and nature.
Psychomotor
 To be able to locate the dwelling places of birds.

Previous knowledge
 Students are familiar with the sounds of various animals like dog, cow and lion
etc.
 Students can read and write simple sentences.
 They know about rhyming words.
Suggestive Teaching Learning process/Approach
 Recitation of the poem by the teacher with proper intonation,expressions and
voice modulation.
 Group and then individual recitation by students using finger puppets of birds.
 Making sounds of birds and identify their names.

 Field trip to sensitize students towards birds by taking them to school garden
or nearby park.
 Observation Method- observing and listening to different sounds of birds.
