To be able to locate the dwelling places of birds.
Previous knowledge
Students are familiar with the sounds of various animals like dog, cow and lion
etc.
Students can read and write simple sentences.
They know about rhyming words.
Suggestive Teaching Learning process/Approach
Recitation of the poem by the teacher with proper intonation,expressions and
voice modulation.
Group and then individual recitation by students using finger puppets of birds.
Making sounds of birds and identify their names.

Field trip to sensitize students towards birds by taking them to school garden
or nearby park.
