DRAW 10W – Technical Drawing

Drafting Rules:
1. Use drawing tables properly and avoid writing unnecessary marks and vandals on the drawing tables.
2. Throw trash on the garbage bins.
3. FOOD and DRINKS are not allowed inside the laboratory during class hours.
4. Leave working place in proper order after use and before leaving the class.
5. No one is allowed to enter the room except for students enrolled in the class.

Class Rules:
1. Lecture and Drafting will start promptly 15 minutes from the required time to give students time to prepare for their materials.
2. Attendance will be checked twice during the rest of the period
ABSENCES: As per CHED regulation, a student having more than (20%) 2 absences will automatically get a grade of 5.00.
It should be noted that three (3) late means an equivalent of 1 absence.
“Make Up” is allowed for student who are absent provided he/she will present valid excuse letter (signed by
parent, guardian or school authorities) and valid medical certificate (for those who were sick).He then will submit
missed requirement 3 copies in the following meeting.
3. Schedule of submission shall be announced within the period and shall be followed accordingly. Any late submittals shall be
repeated 3 times.
4. Follow standard procedures and requirements for all laboratory activities.
5. GAME GADGETS are not allowed inside the laboratory during class hours otherwise it will be confiscated and shall be
returned after class.
6. Turn mobile phones in silent mode while inside the classroom.
7. All requirements shall be submitted 1 week before evaluation of grade. Late submittals will not be honored.
8. All portfolios shall be collected and submitted on date of evaluation of grade and 1 week before finals week.
Rules and Regulations:
Any Violations of the following rules and regulations is sufficient cause to CANCEL the plate concerned. Cancelled plates can be
repeated, but NO EXTENSIONS on the specified submission date can be given.
a. All plates shall be done inside the classroom.
b. The drawing paper must be signed by the instructor before the drawing is started.
Any violation of the following rules and regulations is sufficient cause to DISQUALIFIY a plate. Disqualified plates cannot be
repeated. The student shall get an automatic ZERO (0) for the plates concerned.
a. All plates are to be worked on in the school and at the designated room.
b. All problems to be solved directly on the designated drawing plate.
c. Each student shall work independently in solving the given problems and exercises.

GRADING SYTEM
The Plates are graded based on the following:
1. Workmanship covers 50% of the total grade. It is divided into the following
Quality 20% refers to the student’s proficiency in applying the principles of drafting to the given exercises
and problems. Line weight, geometric curves, engineering drawing symbols, etc will be reviewed.
Presentation 15% refers to the orderliness, neatness and cleanliness of the drawing plate.
Lettering 15% refers to the legibility, general proportions, stability and order of the text on a given plate.
Precision covers 40% of the grade. This refers to the accuracy of the student’s solution to a given drawing problem.
2. Efficiency covers 10% of the total grade. This refers to the student’s ability to accomplish within a given number of
meetings. There will be no make-up sessions for unexcused absences. Late and missed plates are given proper
deductions. Missed requirement shall be deducted with 2.5 percent per page of the total grade.
The Final Grade of the student is based on the following:
Homework/Research/Exercises/Project/ETC 30%
PLATES 70%
TOTAL 100% PASSING : 70%
