there is no voltage, replace DCPS2 (p\nA03U M402 01).

C-2451, C-2452, C-2453 or C-2454.

The toner density sensor is defective or not working properly. SOLUTION:

Swap the problematic developing unit with another one (make sure the toner supply opening is
covered with tape beforehand, or leave the toner supply unit open to prevent toner from mixing
with another color.) and turn on the machine. If the error code changes to another, then the TDS
sensor (p / n A03UM50801) is probably defective.

For control, check the sensor readings in Service mode => Process adjustment => Sensor output
check => TCR sensors. The sensor reading should be around 130. Higher readings indicate that
the toner concentration in the developing unit is insufficient. Lower values ​mean that the toner
concentration in the developing unit is too high.

If the concentration is too high, try lowering the toner content by printing test pattern #53 at 255
density (leave the toner hopper unit open to prevent toner from being fed into the developing unit).
Adjust the sensor reading to 130. If the concentration is too low, increase the toner content. From
I/O mode (54-4 for Yellow, 54-5 for Magenta, 54-6 for Cyan and 54-7 for Black) control the sensor
reading to reach 130.

C-2421, C-2422, C-2423, C-2424 after the change of the developer. Perform the Toner Density
Sensor Initial setting.

1. HV2 unit failure (p/n A03UM40400).

2. Bad contact. Check electrode contact in separation discharge section.

Note : The error does not appear immediately after printing starts, but occurs when the paper
stops in the separation section.

Poor contact between Powering Block Assembly (p/n 65AAR74600) and Powering Block 1
Assembly (p/n 65AA R72700) or Separation Wire (p/n 65AA90250).

C-2840 at startup.

The PGC sensor is not working properly. SOLUTION:

Set the default Service mode=>Process Adjustment=>Recall Standard Data

C-3102 (may be accompanied by abnormal noise) PROBABLE CAUSES:

1. One of the locking gears is damaged.

1. The machine cannot return the separation cam to its original position. Check the following
parts: PS16 sensor (p/n 08AA 8551 2) and Release Actuator flag (p/n A03U724400). Check
sensor contact. Check the gear associated with the M30 (p/n 27LA8003 0).
1. Gear slipping (p/n A03U 8093 00)
1. Damaged fixing limiter.

Replace fixing limiter (p/n 65AA53651).

Damaged ICP14 on Conveyance Drive Board.

Replace Conveyance Drive Board (p/n A03U H050 04).

C-3912 When the machine is turned on or the message "Machine warming up please wait" is
displayed

1. Faulty ACDB (p/n A03UH52002).

Note : Before replacing the ACDB, make sure the TH3 temperature sensor is working properly.

Heating lamp defective. Check bulbs L2, L3 or L4 and replace faulty ones.

If the error appears when the power is turned on.

A partial overlap of 10 pixels of Color registration was detected when compared to a previous
Color registration run.

SOLUTION:

1. Install firmware version v.60

2. DIPSW 23-1

0 : SC detected condition 10 pixels (Default) 1 : SC detected condition 60 pixels

Switching the DIP switch can reduce the possibility of an error, but does not fix the problem with
Color registration.

If the error is accompanied by faint prints, lines, or wrinkles, it may be due to the transfer belt slip-
ping from side to side.

SOLUTION:

1. Remove and invert the front bearing (p/n 540076050 page 32, item 5 in the Parts Manual)

this will allow more pressure to be applied to it.

Idler pulley in Intermediate Transfer Assembly has shifted, which allows you to "walk"

transfer belt, or the upper and lower idler rollers are not aligned correctly.

Install extra washers on both sides of the idler pulley to prevent the pulley from coming loose from
the bracket. Adjust the lower tension roller in the same way.

After those. service there is a gap between Tension Plate Rear Caulking (p/n 65AA-2730) and
Plate/Rear (p/n 65AA26250E).

Install the Tension Plate Rear Caulking in such a way that there is no gap and fix it firmly with the
screw. Perform the Color registration setting.

If an error occurs during the execution of Color registration. This may be due to a malfunction of
the PS8 or PS9 sensors. SOLUTION:

Clean or replace PS8 or PS9 sensors, replace color registration assembly

If an error occurs after performing Color registration. The Color Registration setup is not done
properly. SOLUTION:

Retry Color registration.

Service Mode => Machine Adjustment => Printer Adjustment => Color Registration Adjustment

If the error appears in conjunction with C-2714 (no visible image on the transfer belt).

The spring of the connecting gear of the M19 engine is overloaded, and can get into the reverse
position.

If the error appears in conjunction with C-4501, C-4502, C-4503 and C-4504.

SOLUTION:

1. Check fuses ICP17, ICP20, and ICP21 on the Printer Control Board (PRCB). Check for 24V on
each fuse leg. Availability

voltage on only one of the legs indicates that the fuse is broken and the board

(p/n A03U R759 00) needs to be replaced.

If [09 Writing Init. Pos. Memory], the adjustment edges can be reduced.

If the laser unit has been replaced, make adjustments in the following order.

The ICP17 fuse on the Printer Control Board is broken. The wire between the Printer Control
Board and the hardware counters may be pinched. If the wire is shorted to ground, the ICP17 fuse
will blow, resulting in an error. If the wire is damaged, but there is no short circuit, the machine will
function, but the meter will not work.

SOLUTION: Check the connection between PRCB and Total Counter. If a short circuit is found, re-
place the PRCB (p/n A03U R759 00).

C-4521 color registration error code.

It is possible that toner or dust deposits have formed between the PS8 ,PS9 sensors and their pro-
tective bar. Simply wiping will not solve this problem.

SOLUTION:

Remove the color registration assembly (p/n A03UR79800) and inspect the sensors. If there are
deposits of toner or dust between the PS8 ,PS9 sensors and their protective strip, then the color
registration assembly must be replaced.

C-6101

Use I/O State Confirmation Mode to check if motor M1 (38-5 =home position search) and Home
Position Sensor PS1 (30-0 = 1) are working. Check fuses ICP1, ICP2, or ICP3 on the scanner
drive board. Replace SCDB board (p/n 65AA9071E) and M1 motor (p/n 65AA80131) if necessary

C-6708 when power on

1. After the power is turned on, the scanner lamp moves to the left to perform correction, but is not
lit. The lamp (p/n A03UM30101) or the Inverter board (p/n A03UM40500) may be defective.
2. Blown fuses ICP1 or ICP2 on CCD (p/n A03UA29000).
3. Blown fuse ICP2 on IFB (p/n A03UH10001).
4. Blown fuses ICP1 or ICP2 on IPB (p/n A03UH02015)
5. The CCD wires are damaged or have poor contact. Check the cable connecting CCD and IPB
and replace if necessary.

C-0213

1. Check and replace if necessary paper exit gear /2 (p/n A03U909800), paper exit gear /3 (p/n
A03U909701), paper exit gear /4 (p/n A03U909600), or paper exit gear /5 (p/ n A03U9095 02).
2. Clean or replace the PS10 photo sensor (p/n 08AA55120).
