Ans: Mr. Ramesh was the owner of the toy shop. He was a gentle
and kind man, and was loved by all the people of the town because
of his good nature.

2. Why did the children like the special room in Mr. Sharma’s shop?
Ans: The children liked the special room in Mr. Sharma’s shop
because it was full of toys. They loved going to the little room to
gaze at all the colourful toys on the shelves.

3. Why was the umbrella feeling sad and lonely?


Ans: The umbrella was feeling sad and lonely because it had been
lying on the shelf for a long time and no one seemed to be interested
in it as it was covered with dust. It wanted to be loved by the
children like the other colourful toys.

4. Who came to the store one day?


Ans: A woman, holding her small child by her hand came to the store
one day.

5. How did the little umbrella realize that it was important?


Ans: The little umbrella felt a protective love when the mother and
the child were holding the umbrella. When it understood that it was
keeping the rain off, the umbrella felt proud. This instance made it
realize that it was important.
