Techniques Explained
Crochet Braid- Unravel the 2 stitches designated for the large braid all
the way down to the stitch marker holding the 2 stitches at the rib. With a
crochet hook, pick up the 2 stitches as 1 large knit stitch, picking up 3
strands at a time and pulling all 3 strands through the stitch on the
crochet hook. Make sure your tension is neutral- don't pull the braid too
much and squinch up your work. Once picked up, place the single large stitch
onto the left needle to be worked as 1 regular knit stitch.
Pro tip: This technique is like picking up a dropped stitch! (Except your
picking up 2 stitches as 1!)

K4B (Bubble Stitch)- In the stitch you wish to knit below, intentionally
drop 4 stitches. There should be 4 yarn ladders, and below these ladders is
your dropped stitch. Insert your right needle through the dropped stitch,
wrap your working yarn around as if to knit and pull through.

Intarsia Color Switch- Work color A in pattern up until color B yarn

switch. Knit this color change as if it occurred at the end or beginning
of the row (leave a long enough tail to weave in ends later), except bring yarn
B underneath yarn A so it is twisted and joined together.
Pro tip: Make sure as you change colors, the yarn tension is tighter,
especially the color you are switching from.
A purl color switch is the same; bring color B underneath color A and
continue in pattern, joining both works of color together.
Pro tip: When you change rows, make sure the three working yarns that face
you, go over the work, and hang out behind your knitting. It will be almost
impossible not to tangle all skeins at least once during the front
construction!

SL2tog, K1, p2sso- A center double decrease that decreases 3 stitches to 1

in a symmetrical way. Work up to one stitch before the stitch you wish to
decrease. Slip both stitches knit-wise onto your right needle, knit (or
purl if in pattern) 1 stitch on your left needle, then pass the 2 stitches
(that were slipped) over the worked stitch that is now on your right
needle.
Pro tip: It's important to slip both stitches together, as well as passing
them over the worked stitch together, and not 1 after the other.

SSK- Slip your first stitch knit-wise onto the left needle, and slip your
second stitch purl-wise onto the left needle. Place both stitches back to
the main needle and K2tog (left-leaning knit decrease).

SSP- Slip your first and second stitch knit-wise onto the right needle,
then place both stitches back to the main needle and purl them together
(left- leaning purl decrease).

V-neck Collar:

With color A, pick up an even number of

sts around the neckline, 1 row in from

Starting at the nape of the neck, the number

of sts you pick up is up to you, as long as I would suggest picking up
sts on the lower end of the spectrum
it is an even number. (Between 50-56 sts
would be a good place to start). As you pick up
sts around the neckline, continue by picking
up the marked middle st in color B and bring
color A through the st so all sts for the
