Bobby was walking to the stadium. He left at 12:00 and travelled 15 kilometres in one hour. He
then realised he left his wallet at home, so he turned around and went home. This took him an
hour and a half. As he was tired, he took a 30 minute nap and left again. It took him 2 hours to
get to the stadium which was 35 kilometres away. He stayed for 30 minutes, and then got in a
helicopter and flew home which took 10 minutes.

The Scale Factor of a map or drawing is the ratio of the size of the Questions
drawing to the actual size of the object. For example, a scale of
1cm:100cm on a map means for every 1 centimetres on the map, 1. The measured distance between the council
the actual distance is 100 centimetres. offices and the secondary school is 8
centimetres. How far is the actual distance?

An equation is a mathematical statement that two expressions are equal, such as 4 + x = 32. It
could be true (e.g. 4 + 28 = 32) or false (e.g. 4 + 29 = 32).
Remember: We always remove plus and minus from the equation first.
Examples

An inequality is like an equation but, instead of indicating that two expressions are
equal, it indicates which of the two has the greater value.

Line Symmetry refers to the amount of places you can fold a shape
where it is identical on either side.
If you rotate a shape around its middle point, if it fits exactly on top of
itself on its way around it is considered to have rotational symmetry.
The number of times the shape fits on itself in one revolution is called its
order of rotational symmetry.
