TECHNICAL STUDY

Product Description

Eco Paint Tray is a plant-based paint tray that are made from pulp discarded from the
food industry. Like other plastic paint trays that are available to the market, Eco Paint tray works
the same with the plastic one that is reusable but most importantly they are strong, and work just
as they should.

This product is made from 100% recycled waste material, does not deplete natural
resources. It has natural gray-brown color and does not use any coloring chemicals. Unlike other
existing paint trays, this product offers no washing out, just simply wipe out any excess paint and
leave to dry for reuse.

Our trays can be reused over and over again. It is biodegradable and compostable that
works perfectly fine with the nature that can be discarded with a clean conscience if needs be.

Special Handling

Eco Paint Tray should be stored in a clean and dry surface after production to ensure
aesthetic and natural look of the product and prevents termites. Discoloration may also be
present over couple of years due to storage and usage but works perfectly fine and does not
affect the quality of the product. Upon storage, keep the product away from water or area where
water can be present due to rain or pipe leakage because it makes the product able to absorb the
water when stored for a long time and does affect the shape and surface of the product. Using
over and over again may add strength to the product and washing with water is not advisable.
Wiping the excess or maybe not will do.
Manufacturing Process

Making Eco Paint Trays mainly using machineries and human workforce. Manufacturing
process will be divided into 3 stages, shredding of the bagasse, mechanical pulping and molding
of the product.

We assume that three workers will be preparing their respective sites, machines and
materials that will be used for the production. This includes cleaning and wiping the machineries.
Workers will be assigned to each machine and its production stages namely, shredding, pulping,
and molding.

The first stage will be shredding where worker 1 will prepare the raw material by
washing the bagasse and put it into shredder and crusher machine to produce crushed bagasse.
The produce will be put into stainless container.

The next stage will be pulping. Worker 2 will be transferring the crushed bagasse into the
pulping machine. This machine produces different plain-rectangular shape and sizes of pulp
board. Wastes and excess juices will be disposed by him. Produce will put into another stainless
container.

The last stage will be molding where worker 3 will prepare adhesive glue into respective
adhesive container of the molding machine. Pulp board will be transferred into molding machine
and it takes almost a minute for a heating process before it will be transferred into storage rooms.

Production Schedule

The Eco Paint tray production schedule is generated to satisfy the demand of the production
flowcharts. It is a project plan of how the production budget will be spent over a given timescale for
every phase of a business project. The schedule of production is every morning from 7am to 4pm. Every
worker is given a day-off per week. For the production, workers on duty will take charge of the
responsibility of the other.

Conclusion of the Technical Study

We conclude that the project is feasible in terms of its materials since sugarcane bagasse are available in
Cotabato Sugarcane Cooperativ . However, machineries are all to be purchased online. The plant is
design for the production of the eco paint tray product. As to the plant location, it is possible that the
business will probably grow and sustain longer and maintain its ethical value and preserve the
environment. Upon deeply studying this aspect we have gained a deep knowledge about various
technical aspect of this business.
