June 21st | Day 2: Brief Overview for Personal Development

Personal Development is all about planning your future and trusting the process. You will identify and develop your skills
and abilities by creating a plan with short-term and long-term goals.

Monday, June 27th: Introduction to Personal Development

You will get an introduction to Personal Development, why it’s essential, and how you can do it.

Tuesday, June 28th: Self Discovery

You will be learning about Self-Discovery, which is about understanding your “self,” which isn’t you but the other you,
which is your mind that communicates to you through your thoughts. Give your “self” a name, such as Bob or something.
You will understand your character, needs, values, and purpose in life.

The purpose is to help you become more aware of what you want in life.

Wednesday, June 29th: Self Development

You will be learning about Self Development, which is about improving your skills, competencies, talents, and knowledge
to get what you want. Please be prepared.

Thursday, June 30th: Self Mastery

You will understand how to control your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self by gaining control over your
thoughts, actions, and emotions. This is accomplished by being aware of and understanding each of them.

Friday, June 31st: Self Actualization

Once you realize what you’re capable of, you will learn that the most efficient way is the difficult way through
experiences. This is all about Self Actualization and teaching you guys how to accept bullshit that comes your way so
that way, instead of reacting to it, you’re responding.

By responding, it means you’re able to think with a clear head to solve your issues rather than suffer like the rest. It’s all
about coming to terms with your role in society.
Training:
I want you to have a clear idea of Personal
Development.

So, you will be creating a PDF Document with

a picture and a description that describes Self
Discovery, Self Development, Self Mastery, and Self
Actualization.

Turn this PDF in by June 22nd at 3:30PM EST to the

#wk1-introduction channel.
This is for your team.

Exercise:
Today we discussed the idea of your “self,” which
isn’t you. This might not make sense, so as a way to
introduce yourself to your “self,” go in the mirror and
talk to yourself. Ask your “self” what they want, and
your “self” will answer through your thoughts. Write
down what your “self” says and decide whether you’re
brave enough to share it with the server or not.

If you want extra points for yourself, turn this in by

June 22nd at 3:30PM EST in the #show-your-work
channel.
