ADVANTAGES OF THE PLANE AS * SPEED
It is the fastest mode of transport that exists and, therefore,
A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION it is especially recommended when time is an important
factor. There are no physical barriers: thanks to this it is
possible to make a trip without interruption by choosing the
shortest and most direct route through seas, mountains.
* EASY ACCESS
Air transport can transport goods to areas that are not easily
accessible by other means of transport. Suitable for
transporting high-value or perishable goods over long
distances.
DISADVANTAGES OF THE PLANE AS * VERY EXPENSIVE ECONOMICALLY

A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION It is the most expensive means of transport. Uncertain air

transport is largely conditioned by weather conditions. Snow,
rain, fog, etc., can cause the cancellation of scheduled flights
and the suspension of air service. Not suitable for cheap and
high-volume goods due to its limited capacity and high cost.
Legal restrictions: Many countries have legal restrictions in
the interest of their own security.
Aviation is the fastest growing mode of transport for greenhouse gas (GHG)
emissions. Ecologists in action defends the significant reduction in the
THE ENVIRONMENTAL number of flights as the only way to reduce the impact of the sector.
Despite the aviation industry repeatedly pointing out that the sector's

IMPACT emissions represent only 2% of global CO2 emissions, according to the "Stay
Grounded" report, the environmental effects of aviation do not stop there.
Apart from carbon dioxide, airplanes produce other harmful elements
(methane, ozone, soot, contrails and induced cloudiness) with a greater
climate impact than CO2.All this means that today aviation causes between
5% and 8% of global warming, according to the data collected and analyzed
in the study.
On the other hand, given the growth expectations of the sector (the
aeronautical industry forecasts an annual growth of 4.3% in the coming
decades), the European Commission estimates that in 2050 greenhouse gas
emissions from aviation could be between four and eight times higher than
the current level. While global CO2 emissions increased by 25% between
1990 and 2010, those from aviation increased by more than 70% in the
same period.
* SHIP AND VESSEL TRANSPORT
Trucks, wagons, vehicles, motorcycles.
KINDS OF GOODS
* MARITIME TRANSPORT
Bulk goods such as cereals, coal, metals, oil.

* AIR TRANSPORT
Express courier, luxury goods or health and pharmaceutical
products.

* RAIL TRANSPORT
People can be transported to different national and international
destinations.
A fumigation aircraft was completely incinerated, after
ECOLOGICAL DISASTER rushing when it flew over kilometer 20 of the Cienega-
Fundación road, where the members of the Cienega Fire
Department arrived to quell the fire that was generated by
the impact. Authorities reported that the pilot managed to
get out alive, with only minor bruises on different parts of
the body and is out of danger, while the plane was
completely lost. The pilot was identified as Captain Pedro
Liceo Villalba, who was mobilizing in the FUMIGARAY
company aircraft, of agricultural aviation and settlement of
illicit crops, which transported 'glyphosate and liquid
fungicide used for the establishment of drug crops.
The firefighters of Ciénaga had to activate the alerts to quell a
ECOLOGICAL DISASTER forest fire that was presented by the aerial accident, and by the
proximity of the Ecopetrol pipes. "It was necessary for us to join
hoses to reach the site of the accident, understanding that the
fire engine could not reach the place, the alerts were activated by
the forest fire that was generated and the proximity to the
Ecopetrol pipeline, however they carry out verification to avoid
that with the strong temperature a new emergency is presented,
the air authorities will investigate the causes of the accident.
On the other hand, it was possible to show that in this accident
there were forest environmental losses due to the fire and the
glyphosate that was inside the plane to be spilled on these crops
that affect people, animals and forest plants which are reached by
the spraying of these fungicides.
