1.0 Purpose of this document
The purpose of our project is to provide with a one-stop solution for all the healthcare and
medical related activities that can be brought together to improve customer experience and save
on time and money. It will help people in need to connect to the people they need

2.0 Business Case

This will be a web-based Java project that is designed to create a direct line of communication
between doctors and patients.

By using this application, patients can book online appointments with their preferred doctors,
and doctors can offer healthcare suggestions, e-prescription, and view the patient’s medical
records, lab reports, etc. In conventional healthcare service systems, all medical management
operations are manual. The problem is more pronounced in remote and rural areas that lack
proper medical infrastructure. Furthermore, there are no provisions for recording and storing
medical data.

MED-CONNECT shall be a one-stop solution before going to hospitals with all the features
like hospital and doctor suggestions and rating, transactions, reports, authentication and data
security. This online medical management system can help bridge all these problems by linking
doctors and patients directly.  Our website will also host a section for donors of organs and
donations to help those who can't afford medical services.
