My town.

My town is not very big, but it is beautiful. The streets of the town are straight and long. You can see
many cars, trams and buses there. There are a lot of bus stops and car parks in my town. We don’t have the
underground and trolleybuses.
There is a nice big square in the centre of my town. On one side of the square you can see the hotel
“Victoria” and there is the museum on the other side. It has a big collection of old things. People from all over
the world go to our town to see it.
There are many parks in my town. People like to come to the parks; they play, read books or sit on the
benches and talk. My favourite park is the central park. It is near the square. I often go there with my friends.
Also I go to the shops or cafes with them, watch films in cinemas or ballets in our theatre.
My house is between the central park and the zoo. I live with my mum, dad, sister and brother. I have a
granny and two granddads too. My mum’s name is Ekaterina. She works at a pharmacy. She is a doctor. Also
she can cook well. She always buys products in our supermarket. It’s next to our house. My father is Ivan. He is
a driver. He works at the bus station. My brother Igor studies at the university. He likes football. The stadium is
behind the hotel. He often goes here to watch matches. He My sister Olya likes sport too, she goes to the
swimming pool. It is near the stadium. She works at a bank. My school is opposite the swimming pool. It is
between the police office and the post-office. I don’t get to school by bus or tram. I go there on foot.
There is a big library behind my school. I usually go there to take books for reading. I like to read about
planes and history. I will be a pilot in the future. The fact that I am a girl can’t stop me. My grandmother Anna
and grandfather Pyotr live near. She is a hairdresser and works at the hairdresser’s. She believes in God and
always goes to the church on Sundays. My granddad works at the factory. He is an architect. He is the oldest
worker there. He will be 70 next week. We are going to celebrate his birthday in the restaurant. It is behind the
theater. My granddad Andrey lives in Vladivostok. It is far. I get there by train or plane every summer.
I want to see all our world in the future, but I want to come back to my town every time. I like my town
very much!
