General Information : -

It has been observed that the warning signs are not fixed at uniform level in WEC.
Some of warning signs are missing and some of them are not fixed at designated
place. The warning signs are must in all WEC as per the ENERCON standards.
The warning signs are to be fixed as per details mentioned below.

1. Helmet (SAP 16771): -

This sign indicates that “Helmet” must to be used in this


area.
This sign is to be fixed, where the “Helmet” is necessary
to be used.
Helmet is not required in the E44 Nacelle.

2. Safety Harness: -
This sign indicates that the safety harness and belts
must to be used with a fall arrester in this area.

This sign is to be fixed, where the safety harness and


belt is necessary to be used.

This sign shows the Anchorage point for the Safety


Harness.
(As shown in picture 1.a, 1.b, 2.a & 2.b)

3. Five Safety Rules: -


The five safety rules sign is to be fixed at
the following places.
a) Clearly visible at eye level in the all towers /
Control Rooms. ( All WEC )
b) At near the AB switch for tower mounted
transformer structure. (E-44 and E-48 WEC)
c) In the Transformer Yard: - at the
entrance, where it could be clearly visible at
eye level. (E-30 WEC)

d) In the Vacuum Circuit Breaker Yard: - at the entrance of all VCB yard, where it
could be clearly visible at eye level. (As shown in picture 1.a, 3.a & 3.b)

(Note: - The PU tape can also use on this sign to protect it from the sunlight and rainwater.)

4. Dangerous Voltage – Power cabinet (SAP 13598): -

The power cabinet dangerous voltage sign is


to be fixed on right side door of each power
cabinet.

5. First Aid Chart: -

The First Aid Chart is to be available in all turbine’s


bottom section / Control room, and office building /
storeroom.

6. Direction / Way to the Exit: -

This sign is to be fixed above the tower’s bottom


door from inside to indicate direction / way to
the Exit.

7. High Voltage Danger Sign: -

The High Voltage Danger Sign is to be fixed on the


door of transformer’s yard, Vacuum Circuit Breaker
yard and on the all HT line poles.

8. Ascending Ladder - Warning Sign (SAP 12188): -

The ascending ladder warning signs is to be


fixed at right side of the ladder in the bottom
section of the tower with in eye contact / level.
(As shown in picture 1.a)

9. Low Free Foot Area at Flange (SAP 53609): -

Picture 9.a
The low free foot space of 150mm can’t meet at some tower
flanges. In this case, this sign must be fixed on the tower
flange and on the tower wall, approximately above 8 feet
from tower flange. Picture 9.b

10. Safety Rules for Winch / Crane (SAP 12187): -

This sign is to be fixed on the winch control


box.
OR
To be fixed on the Nacelle GRP, above the
winch wire rope drum.

11. Place of the First Aid Box (SAP 30456): -

This sign is to be fixed to indicate the place


of First Aid Box.

This sign can also be used in the storeroom,


office building to indicate the place of “First
Aid Box”.

12. Anchorage Points for the Rescue Device RGR4 (SAP 13339): -

This sign indicates that the anchorage point for the


Rescue Device RGR4.

This sign is to be fixed, where we can use an anchorage


point for Rescue device RGR 4 and FG 9.

Attention! The suitable welded joint OR the bolted


support with screw for the Rescue Device must to be
used > M16.
(As shown in picture 2.b & 2.c)

13. Rotary Parts Warning Sign (SAP12182): -

a) This warning sign is to be fixed at 2’O clock and 10’O


clock position of stator jib / arm. It’s to be well visible
and parallel to the Nacelle platform.
(For E-44 WEC)
b) This warning sign is to be fixed on the main carried at
near the Rotor Lock.

(Note for E-30 WEC: - The PU tape can also use on this sign to protect it from the

14. High Permanents D. C. Voltage - Battery Box (SAP 26033): -

This sign is to be fixed on the center of each


Battery Box’s cover plate.

15. Dangerous Voltage - Capacitor Box (SAP 37427): -

This sign is to be fixed on the center of each


Capacitor Box’s cover plate.

16. Outside Supply High Permanents D. C. Voltage - Relay Box (SAP 26034): -

This sign is to be fixed on the center of each


Relay Box’s cover plate.

17. High Sensitive – Slip Ring Body: -

This sign is to be fixed with clearly visible on


the “KRAUS” type Slip Ring Body’s cover
plate.

18. Caution – AC Supply: -

This sign is to be fixed on the Generator


Terminal acrylic sheet.

NOTE: - All other signs are also to be used in the WEC,


which are instructed by various technical instructions.
