This question paper consists of Three (03) questions and twenty two (22) pages

Answer all 3 questions from any one of each parts.

EA 1007 – Electronic Circuit Simulations

(One and Half Hours)


Answer all the questions
(This questionnaire consists of 03 major questions.)

• The final examination will be conducted as an online examinations through the EDP
LMS.
• Q1 to Q3 include the questions about circuit simulation part. You should draw the
circuit, do the required simulations and answer the questions.
• Use Orcad 17.2 Software to complete and simulate all these questions
• You need to attach all required screenshots in to a word document or PDF or as
Images and upload the documents as an attachment. (Question no and part should
be clearly mentioned.)
• This is an open book examination. You can use the lecture notes, exercises etc. for
this course EA 1007
• If you start the examination, It will be taken as an examination attempt. So if you have
any difficulties to face the examination, Inform it and postpone the examination to
the next year.
• Do not try to share or upload other peoples' screenshots, If so, you will reported for
examination offences.
• If you have any problem, Please contact examiner or Instructor. Do not contact any
friend or other people while the examination.
• Examination time may be extended due to technical problem and difficulties. Be
prepared to stay more time until finish the examination.
• You are not allow to write this examination outside of the university without any
written permission. So unauthorised attempts are ignored.

Amplifier circuit is given below

a) Draw above circuit in OrCAD Capture, Put the values of components as shown in
image.

b) Put an alias name to the node as the image

c) Use a suitable simulation type, to very supply voltage form 0 V to 100 V in 0.001
steps

d) Take the graph of the I(in) vs V(V1) (Y axis -> I(in); X axis -> V(V1))

e) Correct the X axis to get forward characteristic curve of the above Diode.

b) Put an alias name to the node as the image

c) Use a suitable simulation type, to very supply voltage form 0 V to 200 V in 0.001
steps

d) Take the graph of the I(in) vs V(V1) (Y axis -> I(in); X axis -> V(V1))

High pass Passive filter circuit is given bellow.

Using a suitable simulation, find the value for resistor, to set -3db cutoff frequency
is to be 10 kHz.

a) Draw the circuit schematic using OrCAD capture

b) Add a suitable component to sweep the value of resistor and change its settings.
And assign the values to resistors

c) Do a suitable simulation with following ranges

1. Frequency : 1 Hz to 10 MHz for 1000 values


2. Resistor value 100 Ω to 10kΩ by 100 Ω

d) Draw the suitable graphs to get value of the resistor when cutoff frequency is
equal to be 10 kHz.

Question 02 - Part 02 (T2-Q2_P2)
High pass Passive filter circuit is given bellow.

Using a suitable simulation, find the value for resistor, to set -3db cutoff frequency
is to be 500 Hz.

a) Draw the circuit schematic using OrCAD capture

stimulus editor

c) Create a suitable simulation profile and attach stimulus files into your simulation

implementations.
