Works are only permissible at a 10-minute average wind speed up to 16 m/s.
Apply rotor lock while working at the generator, nacelle & spinner area.
This technical document is necessary to fill up during Electrical maintenance for verifying the healthiness
and the present condition of the generator. Check generator thoroughly according to the below
mentioned points and file the report in LTF along with electrical maintenance checking report.

1 Generator Stator Winding Inspection: -
1.1 Any discoloration, burning, blackish, brownish signs on the stator winding.
1.2 Painting / powder coating peeling off of the stator ring, end plate & winding.
1.3 Any abrasion marks in the both side stator-winding conductors.
Presence of any foreign material / particles, salt deposition, dirt and dust

1.5 Check spillage of rainwater, grease and hydraulic oil in stator winding.

1.7 Distance between overhang winding and stator jib in all positions.

Condition of the PT100 and PTC 140 temperature sensors in stator winding.

Condition of output connection terminals, neutral points, protection cover,

cast resin insulators and danger sign.
1.13 Check generator terminals proper tightening with 90N/m torque.
1.14 Corrosion on the stator stacking.

2 Generator Rotor Inspection: -


2.1 Pole shoe connections and discoloration at connection points.
2.2 Pole shoe stack, bobbin condition and any crack.
2.3 Insulation of pole shoe, connecting conductors.
2.4 Paint damage and powder coating of pole shoe, rotor disc.
2.5 Pole shoe mounting hardware for proper tightening.
2.6 Air gap and air gap switches functioning and proper setting.
2.7 Sensor connection PT100, PTC140 functioning and condition.
2.8 Integrity of pole shoe conductor with each other. Any separation observed.
2.9 Rotor excitation cable earthing termination point.
Pole shoe numbers marking clearly visible and mentioned the rotor

2.11 Excitation cable connection, proper routing and edge protection.
3 Generator Associated Accessories Inspection: -
3.1 Fitment of the air-cooling plates.
Mounting hardware of rotor control boxes and CLS, Rotor controllers cover

Loose hardware in machine house area. Condition of the dowel pins on the

stator jib and stator arms, L-plates hardware connections.
3.4 Oil storage / leakage in the hydraulic unit pan.

3.6 Condition of surge protectors of the generator.
Check for any marks & possibility for rainwater ingress / penetration’s from

Check for generator armaflex sealing and all other stator & rotor gaps’
