Morgan Rekofa slip ring unit label

1 General information
This Technical Information document is additional in-
formation to the “Master Maintenance” and “4-year
maintenance” maintenance instructions for the E-40 to
E-53 WECs (new maintenance cycle). This document
applies to the “Checking Morgan Rekofa slip ring unit"
maintenance item.
The photos/figures in this document serve as illustra-
tions and may differ from the actual components.

2 Purpose of this document

Due to years of experience with slip ring units, mainte-
nance is performed on Morgan Rekofa slip ring units
contrary to the manufacturer's recommendations. To
prevent any confusion due to labels on the unit, the two
labels on the Morgan Rekofa slip ring unit should be
removed.

3 Amendment to “Checking Morgan Rekofa slip ring unit” maintenance item

The “Maintenance free” label and the “Do not open” sec-
tion of the label can be ignored and can therefore be
removed.
